मैं वो खुशनसीब हूं जिसने हबीब पेंटर साहब और शंकर शंभू साहब का कव्वाली मुकाबला ऑडनेंस फैक्ट्री मुरादनगर के स्पोर्ट्स ग्राउंड में सन 1975 में देखा था। क्या लाजवाब मुकाबला था। इस मुशायरे का आयोजन मरहूम शरीफ साहब मुरादनगर वालो ने बारा वफात के मौके पर कराया था।

अद्भुत गायकी है हबीब पेन्टर जी की,इनकी हर कौव्वाली बहुत ही रस से लबरेज रहती है।उस समय मे इतने कम साज बाज के साथ इतनी अच्छी गायकी आजकल के समय सुनने को नहीं मिलती है।बहुत बहुत शुभकामनाएं इस गायकी के लिए।

आजकल ना ऐसे गायक हैं, और ना संगीतकार।
भक्तिभाव और क़व्वाली दोनों का आन्नद
Behtrin. we are fortunate that we saw this program on Dordarshan in 80's. My maternal grandfather was great fan and friend of Habib sahab. Whenever he used to be in Delhi, he would call my grandfather to to see him in program. He dedicated his supereb performance "Baap ki nasihat Beti ko (avilable on youtube) in my mother. Often, he used to come to Hajrat Nijamuddin and present his Qawali's there. My father also some time joined my grandfather, in his program. Habib sahab himself blessed my father many times. He died long time ago. My maternal uncle and his sone Hanif Painter, still remained in touch. Much later, in 2009 Hanif Painter came to perform upon invitation of my Uncle in west Delhi. He came from Aligarh and for short period he, together with his troop came to my home, we welcomed him in our home with the same respect, as if we were giving to Habib sahab. Long live this memories in our heart.

Most prolific admirer & enthusiast of revered late singer-songwriter Habib Painter ,other than Naushad ji, was our ex Prime Minister late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji & his daughter late PM Indira Gandhi ji.........Habib Painter never sang for money, on the other hand he preferred to perform free on the roadside lanes admist his admirers. I personally heard him singing on a side-lane Of Ring Road Delhi India ,near Lajpat Nagar in the year 1962 .......... Kudos & Bravo to Habib Painter ji.

उस्ताद साहब के बेटे को मैने अलीगढ़ नुमाइश में सुना था । बहुत पुरानी बात हो गयी । सुबह 3 बजे भी जबर्दस्ती उठना पड़ा, क्योंकि घर पे पिटने का डर था । लेकिन क्या कमाल था कि उस वक्त भी वही ताकत और जुनून था। अच्छी खासी भीड़ थी उस वक्त भी ।
हमारे नानाजी ने हमारे छोटे मामा की शादी में उस्ताद बुलबुले हिन्द से कव्वाली का प्रोग्राम करवाया था ।
वो दिन चले गए, कभी वापस न आने के लिए । 🙏🙏🙏🙏
