Recently my problem has been looking at other art, noticing what they do and how I could improve my own art with it and then starting to draw and no matter how hard I try I can’t seem to replicate it...it’s incredibly annoying
@@goldenembers4976 I've struggled with that as well. It is frustrating if your goal is to replicate their technique and your result misses the mark. But it's not a total waste if your drawing looks a little better than it did before. Even if it doesn't, you still tried something new. It's not perfect, but you're aiming in the right direction, and honing your aim with every missed shot.

My characters in my comic seem too stiff, I'm really trying to push myself to loosen up and exaggerate to show movement more

This has been so helpful to me! Just all these videos - a l l of them. I've never thought that being too simplistic and almost never putting small but important details would be that much of a downside, cuz on that last piece I thought he was holding a bat purely from the silhouette! Man you're good.

Have you tried the Golden Ratio Caliper tool, I’ve got mine today from Stephen Silver and I’ve been checking other cartoon characters with it.
