I think any time you mention needs zones - you should add the warning about overhunting a zone. blasting everything comes with some risk of losing your drink zone (or whatever) and having to find it again.

Every animal, or herds of animals, use these assigned zones. At certain times of day, the animals will visit these zones. In order to prevent over use of them, there is a limit to how many animals can be harvested at the zone before it is destroyed. Once destroyed, it will respawn, but usually at a different location. So, if you find the zone useful, don't allow the hunting pressure to exceed limits there. When shooting from a tripod or tree stand, the limit of kills is increased x3. This is a good start, but do find good video.
Great video. A thing i have noticed too is that people some times grind a species to get a diamond, yet have a diamond of another species wandering around on their map already. Keep up the great work
I grinded grizzly for a week on my mult-player invited a friend who was new to the game and he got a diamond grizzly with a hand gun on a heart shot. I was mad and happy for him all at the same time hahaha
Another thing is that u gotta shot each kind of animals with a certain caliber So use 22lr, birdshot or 300 gr arrows for rabbits and ducks Everything from a fox to a roe deer or so u should hunt with the 243 eveyone starts with it btw Use 30 06, 270 or 7mm for everything thats like Whitetail to red deer And use 300, 338 or the 7mm for the Buffalo bears elk moose and the really big game If u use wrong gun ur diamond potential animal wont be a diamond
Thanks a lot! Ive been playing for almost three years and have never shot a diamond. I did the things tou pointed out and ended up coming across a lvl5 meadom, max weight bighorn sheep. I definitely knew it was a diamond so I tracked him for about an hour. Two times I saw him but didnt have a shot because he was around 450 yards out. When I finally got within 100 yards the guy who owned the silver ridges peaks dlc left and sence I didnt own it I got kicked out before I had a shot.
My first 500 hours of playing I was able to get only 2 diamonds. This was back in 2017-2018. Once I learned how to clear the animal population before every hunt I was able to get diamonds frequently ( due to the rng ). I even have a map where I have 8 diamond animals on it ( Layton Lakes ). I recorded a few videos, but got bored doing that. As far as respawns, animals have a minimal chance to respawn larger. You will never get a male diamond to spawn from killing a female or small male. The only stipulation is the Fabled Whitetail that can spawn from killing any size male whitetail.
That's not true. I went testing if you kill a female will it come back a male on a whitetail population with 5 in it. 3 does and 2 males. A small 2 and a ok size 2. I shot 2 females cleared hunting pressure reset time and then there was 3 bucks and 2 does one being a lvl3.
@@jasonschroeder440 the deer sex don't change they just get shuffled through herds. It's been proven 100s of times. Just look up how to spawn great ones by grims and he explains it way better then I can test it. There is also a certain amount of bucks and a certain amount of does and when you go through your zones taking deer out they get respawn and that same sex but it doesn't have to be the same herd. Trust me and watch grims how to spawn a great one he is on Xbox and has killed 4 great ones and one bugged great one

Let's say someone shoots a diamond but hits nothing vital so the animal rubs off and doesn't die. Is it still on the map? Will it return to its orginal need zone? Should said hunter forgive himself?
Once an animal spawns it never leaves until you kill it is the accepted truth. If you found its need zone of will return unless you delete it with pressure. Forgiveness depends on your 'in-game moral compass'. I would track it for hours unless the wind rng decides to thwart you. Go away and come back another day.

Running is a good way to never see a Diamond. Shooting just anything, is another way to never see one. That gunshot will clear the area for 400 meters in all direction. WAIT and survey all animals before deciding on which one to take.

Yo Risky I have had it since July and yes you are right it's just a random chance of getting a diamond I have gotten a few diamonds but it's been because very lucky shots and just being in the right place at the right time and definitely yes drink zones are a very good chance at getting a good shot at what you want

I think you might be on to something here, I finally got a Diamond moose on layton after 2 1/2 weeks of grinding.. I'm on a Diamond black bear grind too.. but I've seen super high / same weight class moose on Yukon and Medved much more frequent then Layton
@@PansLaugh download the cotw pop scanner so you can stop wasting time with trying to get a diamond to spawn in the map in the first place. You can reset pops until you get the diamond of the species you want

Why don't rifle scopes aid you in shooting rabbits? Why does the .22LR seem to overshoot when shooting birds, rabbits, otherwise it's a great gun! Why doesn't the counter for animals killed go over 20 for PS4 console, even though there is room for it on screen? I'm sure this doesn't happen on the PC versions. The console user doesn't get BETA versions of games and is treated unfairly on updates coming out on time, but the PC user seems to get them all the time! Really unfair!!!

@@konnor6296 as you watch videos, pay attention to when they were published. Updates have changed the game and scoring a lot since the beginning. Spine shots used to be the way to go, but that has changed. Now you have to hit a “vital organ” to get the best score for your kill. There are a lot of other small differences too.
I've played on both Xbox and pc and have found it easier to get diamonds on pc. Originally I got it on Xbox through game pass and I'm at lvl 31 and only got 1 diamond Grey wolf so far. After playing on Xbox for awhile I decided to get it on pc and I was at lvl 6 and had 5 or 6 diamonds.
What I don't understand is the opposing statements you make about how diamonds spawn. You start the video by saying it's completely RNG. Then later you say higher level males have a higher chance if respawning as a diamond. Which one is it? That drastically changes how people should hunt. If it's RNG, then people should be hunting the low level males because they have a much better chance of respawning at a higher level. If it's the second, then obviously people should focus on higher level males.
It’s RNG. And I what I said about the higher level animals potentially spawning as another high level animal, hasn’t been proven but it does seem to work sometimes. So yes, it’s all RNG.
I was so confused cause I killed a white tail two plains Buffalo and a few other deer and a bear were like really high trophy rating for diamond and I had all my checks and they were from bronze to gold even though I had all the checks and an over diamond trophy

I have 151 hours in this game. Level 53 now and I haven't got a single diamond. Tried single player, multiplayer. I quit. I have no sense of progress. I get levels but no skills or perks. I got all weapons I want with DLC. Now the game is repetitive and boring. On my single player map I got only easy, minor and very easy animals. On multiplayer had some golds but that's it. No diamonds. No sense of achievement. I don't see a good reason to keep playing.

This game is mad time consuming..ive been playin about 4 months and have 15 diamonds and have 2219 harvests..Such a great game

I have 151 hours in this game. Level 53 now and I haven't got a single diamond. Tried single player, multiplayer. I quit. I have no sense of progress. I get levels but no skills or perks. I got all weapons I want with DLC. Now the game is repetitive and boring. On my single player map I got only easy, minor and very easy animals. On multiplayer had some golds but that's it. No diamonds. No sense of achievement. I don't see a good reason to keep playing.
