Put a pack of cotton rounds in a jar and pour your choice of micellar water in it. This is cheap, ready to use makeup wipes! I've tried doing this with reusable rounds and they soured.
I had to watch twice because because I was so distracted watching your beautiful kitty 😹 I'm a huge cat person and was delighted to see your guest star. Great makeup tips! Love the setting spray on your eye before the eyeshadow tip. For my mascara, I usually stick it in my bra for a few minutes before applying to warm it up and make it less gloopy
My tips: Use liquid highlighter as an eyeshadow When going for a “natural” makeup day with a light coverage foundation, use a liquid or cream blush underneath the foundation… And the only other weird thing I sometimes do is to mix the blush I am using and bronzer together for the perimeter of the face to tie the look together more
My tip is to use a few drops of contact lens solution to rehydrate a dried out mascara. It’s safe for your eyes, and you get more use out of your mascara. Just drop it in, and mix it with the application wand.
@@monstermcboo7282 I’ve never had an issue with it and I’ve done it for YEARS. It’s a common tip for reviving old mascara, and just because it’s something you have an issue with, doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else. People have been doing it for years with no issues.
@@monstermcboo7282 also, how is putting a sterile eye drop into mascara going to give you an eye infection? It’s literally made for your eyes. What’s the difference in putting it in your eyes, and putting it in mascara? Please explain. One goes on your eyelashes, one goes in your eye. Are eye drops going to give you an infection any other time you use them?
It was too cute hearing your kitty purr during the vid. Also, per a Wayne Goss vid I watched years ago, I started to place my blush a lot higher on my face, being in my 50's, and boy what a huge difference it makes. Just lifted my face right up, and even made my eyes stand out a little more like they used to. Who knew that little change would make such a difference, but it does.
As a women over 50 ( over 60) the blush application is something we do as we need lift versus a hollowed out cheek look. I love your tip on applying the 3 colors of shadow with my finger then blending…..walk! My only tip is EYES first then the rest. Easier to deal with fallout, smudges or clean up.
You look stunning, glowy, and bright in this video! I mean, you always do, but the white, and your smokey eye, and your hair up and jewelry. You look beautiful!
My tips are for people like myself with oily eyelids and a nose that foundation won't stick to. 1. If you have hooded oily eyelids use an eyelid primer and bake it on with a loose powder and sponge. This is the only way that stops my shadow creasing. 2. Liquid foundation never sticks or sits well on my nose. So I avoid the nose area when applying my base and instead use powder foundation there. I use a sponge to apply it. I recommend It Cosmetics Illumination Powder Foundation or the Make Up Revolution one in rose gold packaging.
I’ve started placing a drop of facial oil/serum in my foundation before applying. It gives my face a subtle dewy look, while being easier to apply. Extra points for skincare benefits!!
Instead of concealer, I mix No7 foundation drops in sunscreen. When I'm not using sunscreen, I put about 6 drops on the back of my hand and a few drops of my facial oil and mix with the back of an eyeshadow brush.
Pro Tip!! Instead of doing swatches on your skin every time you want to see the makeup color, take a notebook page where the lines have a fair amount of space between them, then apply tape on both sides of a 1/2'' gap. Write the name of the product/shade, then swatch the makeup between the tape. (Use water or setting spray if you want the colors to pop) Once the page is full, you can remove the tape to create clear-crisp edges like they do on swatch-videos. Now you have a full inventory of all of your shades! I would do this with every new pallet instead of taking out all of my makeup to see my shades. I'm able to compare all of my golds, blues, pinks, ect. It really does help!
Zabrena and Zabrena community! This is more of a skin care tip but I have straight eyelashes. I have tried everything. I started taking my eye makeup off with Avocado oil when I ran out of micellar water. I kept using it because it was melting off my eye makeup so well and within 2-3 weeks I noticed my eyelashes were responding better to using a eyelash curler and mascara. They weren't longer or curlier but just better. I guess it was the nourishing properties of the avocado oils.💜💜💜💄💄💄
Hi! Love you and your channel. I’m an esthetician and I also have more mature, dry skin. Ive found that if you use a hydrating eye cream on those dry spots on the side of your nose or on the forehead or around the chin; it clears it up and isn’t heavy so it won’t disturb your makeup and won’t break you out.
There’s another mascara trick…fill a mug with hot water. Put the closed/sealed mascara tube in the mug, brush side down, cap side up. Works well if the mascara is a bit too thick or you’re running out. Can get another 4 or 5 uses.
I use my cleavage for this and it works great. I stick it in there right when I start my makeup and by the time I get to the lashes, it’s all warmed up, lol!
Thank you for mentioning my tip. It was amazing hearing you say my name.😊💖 Love these tips and would love a part 2! I loved seeing your beautiful furbaby.💕🐾
Ooh you used my corn starch powder tip! 😃🥳😊 I feel so honoured to be able to share with and learn from everybody, and that I was in a Zabrena upload 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you and hope people try it out 😊 I LOVED all thr tips, even reading through so many in the comments section and applying them. I'll definitely try the first one in the video using setting spray on brush, and then finger in shimmer eyeshadow 😍 I've been using the roll my mascara between my hands tip ever since the last video, and it's absolutely wonderful. I've just coincidentally opened a new mascara, so this tip has come in super handy (ooh there was a pun too! 🤭). Happy happy holiday fellow Zs and Zabrena! 🥳🎄😊❄🥂🌞🥰
@@tisa6193 Oooohh how nice! 😊 Have you tried it yet? How did it work for you? I began doing this because I had bought a finely milled translucent powder, but it was so small, and I thought eak this can get expensive very fast, and this looks and feels nearly identical to corn starch, rice flour or potato flour/starch, and it seems finely milled the same way, so let me try it out in my powder. And voila it worked so well! 🥳❤🥰 Some powders are not as finely milled but are good too, because they have some colour to them, unlike translucent powder. But they don't have the blurring effect or can cake up a little, but mixing corn starch etc to them, gets you the best of both worlds, and for a fraction of the price! Which of course I love too! 🥳😄🥰😊 Sorry for the long reply. Take care friend! 😊💕🌞
To remove eyeshadow fallout from your cheeks, wrap a piece around two fingers with sticky side out, roll it across the back of your hand to remove some stickiness then lightly roll it across the fall out. Comes right off without smudging or removing your makeup
My tip for applying lashes. If you have trouble with the corners of your lashes lifting place a small dab of lash glue to the inner and outer corner of the eye. Place your normal amount of glue to the lash, wait for the glue to get tacky before placing the lash. I use this technique especially on days I might be tearful or maybe sweating a lot. It's also great for windy or rainy days. Keeps my lashes in place all day!
Hi Zabrena a couple of tips for very fair skin are: Instead of using a cream coloured eyeshadow to set primer or as an eyeshadow base - use a white shadow, as it really intensifies any shade used on top of it. It also really works as an inner corner highlight for the eyes, giving a brightness that on me cream shades just don't. Using a white foundation mixer as a matte highlight (similar to how you previously used the lilac shade in a previous video). For me the white blended in to various areas while the foundation hasn't yet set, gives a very lifted/bright look to the skin eg cheekbones, under the brow, cupids bow and slightly above the brows on the forehead. This is based on how old Hollywood would use a white cream to do a similar thing. White foundation mixers work really well and are a lighter texture to work with. They're a bit more translucent and less stark than a thick white cream too. Hope that helps. Obviously as I'm ultra pale and cool toned white isn't as stark on me as it would be on a warmer/deeper skintone. Best wishes.
Also great for mascara if you hate clumping and gloop, keep a small cup in your bathroom, fill it with warm/hot water and stick your closed tube of mascara (the water line must be below the cap on the tube) for a half a minute or so. It really helps.
My tip is using a matte lipstick for eyeshadow. There’s a million shades of lipstick and we all carry a few in a purse so it’s very handy. Mattes usually don’t budge on the lip, same goes for the eyes. Although you do have to work a little quickly and you can use a brush to blend it out. I would use a thin layer, works great. And you can always put a little shimmer in the center or the inner corner. I used it today, lol. I hope you enjoy it!
I've been watching lots of videos lately, mostly makeup artists. One of them also talked about doing the highlighter "before" the blush. Such a light bulb 💡 moment for me. I like a more subtle highlight & sometimes I'd put it on & feel like it just doesn't look good. Doing it before seems so much better. Now my only issue is "remembering" to actually switch it up. Lol. I'm quite the creature of habit... You make wings look soooo easy!! ❤️
You, the background and the 🐈 match....White sweater, blue eyes.....White coat and blue eyes...lol...Beautiful! That's a photo opp right there..❤ Great tips ladies 👍🏽
Awww, I love how the kitty had to be in the video, too! And how the mike picked up his purring... BTW, I've been trying the setting-spray-on-a-sponge (or brush) trick lately, and it's done wonders to tamp down that cakey look that you can get when you've got lots of layers of foundation, concealer, powder, etc. going on. It's like what I used to do back in the days before setting spray, too, when I would just wet a sponge with plain old tap water, then press that on my makeup to set it. (The tap water trick also works if you're applying eyeshadow with a fairly absorbent brush or sponge-tip applicator, and won't ruin the shadow in the pan like sticky setting spray can!)
My tip is in holding your makeup brushes. I hold mine between the index finger and the middle finger with the thumb and other fingers providing support. I find that I have more control and better placement especially when applying to the left side of my face - I am right handed. It might feel weird at first, but it works for me.
I got a similar tip from watching "Emily Noel " and she uses the back of her fingers instead of the hand. It works perfect. I don't own an eyelash curler lol , I use my fingers after application. Great trick
yup. when the superstay matte ink lipsticks came out from maybelline, removing them was really a pain. using a lip balm, petroleum jelly, cleansing oil or anything similar breaks down the formula thus making it easier to remove the stain.
I’ve never used falsies before. I take my mascara on the tops of the lashes. I place the wand on top of my lashes and gently spin the wand outwards and up. It curls them ( I don’t own a lash curler) and after you go on and put the mascara on the regular way... the lashes look amazing. Super volumized, thick and long. Depending on the mascara I’m using, my lashes have touched my brows before. Lol.
I loved your little (big) furry buddy making an appearance, or a few appearances, in this video. Plus his purring getting picked up on your microphone was so freaking sweet! I'm a sucker for kitties, they make nearly everything better!😉 Oh, and your look was gorgeous! Your eyes were so striking!
You did a video on the eyeshadow palettes from Essence Makeup a while back. I used the dark green from the Dancing Green palette as my crease color & topped it w/the dark blue from the Ice Ice Baby palette. It came out as an AMAZING dark teal color, which I absolutely love! So…my tip is to combine colors on top of each other if you want to create a new shade, especially if you don’t have the exact color in any of your palettes. Be creative! Have a blessed day & never lose your joy…by staying in His Presence!
My life changing foundation tip: 1 foundation 4 ways... Get a high coverage foundation (I use la girl dewy finish) 1. Use it as concealer... Use foundation as usual... Then on areas u need extra help use it as concealer... Covers light pigmentation n u don't really need to invest in high coverage concealer 2. Foundation + moisturizer = bb cream... But dewy foundation will get so oily... I spritz my face with rose water then apply dots of foundation n then mix with brush (use half quantity than full coverage routine) u can also use setting spray 3. Converting dewy foundation to matte: Powder ur whole damn face n let it bake... Dust out the excess top with matte setting spray 4. Make ur dewy foundation wet glossy foundation by mixing a little illuminator n topping with dewy setting spray
When I accidentally shaved a chunk of eyebrow off, this was my “eyebrows will absolutely not move” routine: 1. Eyeshadow primer all over the eyebrow using my finger. To apply, I would just swipe (still with some pressure) along the direction of hair growth. 2. Brow pen 3. Spray hairspray on my finger and press it onto the brow. I always struggle with keeping makeup on my face and I didn’t want my eyebrows to slip off during work. This never failed me!!
@@tisa6193 when do you apply the hair gel? I can't seem to apply pencil after and i can't know in advance where i need to fill when i lift them up with gel
I’ve been doing that higher placement for blush for a few months now. Love how lifter it makes my face look. My tip, I always see influencers say they have to stop filming to go dampen a beauty blender. Nope. I have a $1 water spray bottle. I press it into the sponge and then spray. I then reposition the sprayer and press into another area of the sponge and pull the trigger. I do this until desired dampness throughout the sponge.
Hey there Zabrena here's a tip to curl your eyelashes each time you apply your mascara hold it Midway for 10 seconds and a lot of the time I will fan my eyelashes while I'm holding it it curls them beautifully. Sincerely April
Your cat is beautiful! I tried the corn starch mixed with Coty powder and omg it works amazingly! I am 49 and usually powder makes my skin look terrible! I've tried several brands and a couple different tricks that didn't do it for me. But this trick really worked! Thank you so much for sharing!
for setting my undereyes, I like to use my finger to apply & blend the setting powder. Doesn't look as heavy, looks more seamless and makes it last longer.
Omg yes! I use the carmex in a tube to remove my lipstick/liner.. slather up and lightly blot off with a tissue. I'll repeat the carmex application/blotting a handful of times until it's totally removed.
Using duo brush on lash clue as a brow gel! It looks laminated and perfect, literally stays put for more than 24 hrs! I use that one bare brows, push them to, shape them and let them dry. Then you can use either brow powder or pomade on top to fill in any sparse areas but I barely need to use any product because the lash glue does the bulk of the work.
I like to add a little dab of sunscreen to my heavy foundations. It makes it spread and blend easier. Also put a tiny bit of loose pigment on a mirror. Then put 1 drop of iglot and stir/mix. It's like a liquid shadow, but lasts all day!
Risa Does Makeup has a video about that blush placement. It does work. I always apply highlighter before blush as well. I usually tap my mascara wand on the palm of my hand (like ur shaking up a nail polish bottle) to "mix" it and avoid the clumps. Have heard the corn starch one, but haven't tried it. These are great tips! Happy Holidays!
I have been wanting to say thank you for coming out about your prophetic abilities. I have them as well and some people make you feel like you're crazy when you talk about it. It was just such a relief to hear you talk about it. I really feel we are all angel's and we are here as a test to see if we are worthy of our "wings". I hope God continues to bless you and protect you.
My tip would include applying CT flawless filter under the eyes before foundation & it brightens your under eye spots even more before you apply the concealer. Also if your masa area is hardening up spray Mac fix plus in it or even a drop of eye drops and it will become creamier.
Please tell me which setting spray you used for these hacks and also which one you tend to use most often just normally. Loooooved this video!!!! Would love a part 2.
When I apply powder under my eyes to set I spray my sponge with a hydrating spray, then dip into my powder (essence banana powder) and start on the outside of the eye and work to the inner part. This helps with creasing and looks awesome! It’s like going against the grain so to speak lol
Coconut oil also works for removing lipstick. I found out, by accident. I know I'm gonna be made fun of, for this, but I tried to use it in the center for a gloss, over my lipstick. LOL
Love your site. Just found you this year (recently retired). Your videos are fantastic. Thanks for all the tips. I’m too old for a highlighter on my cheeks near my eyes, or winged liner, but love your videos! Your kitty is adorable. Loved hearing the purring….😻😻😻
1. Pearl powder instead of translucent powder, especially for oily skin - has many benefits like amino acids, calcium, trace minerals and also has wound healing properties. 2. Use something like Revlon color stay creme (like Vanilla) or ELF No Budge Shadow stick lightly on the lids and then add a shimmer powder eye shadow on top - it will stay on much better and not transfer on the upper lid. I do one eye at a time so the creme doesn't dry before the power goes on top. Nothing really earth shattering to offer but sharing the little things that help me (as a mature woman with extra issues). Oh and I'm a cat lover, loved the cat bomb!
Tip #1: put clear brow gel on top of mascara, after it drys, to stop transfer Tip #2: don't set ur concealer and just tap out creases throughout the day Tip #2 alternative: U don't need to set concealer everywhere, just use an eyeshadow brush to set in the creases
Great tips! On the one about adding concealer to sunscreen, it's important to realize that chemicals in the concealer could render the sunscreen inactive.

Great trick
Same
yup. when the superstay matte ink lipsticks came out from maybelline, removing them was really a pain. using a lip balm, petroleum jelly, cleansing oil or anything similar breaks down the formula thus making it easier to remove the stain.
The tip of using the eye drops absolutely works I've been doing this for a while especially with glittery shadows
vaseline is great for removing eye makeup also - apply and lift off!
Great tips and kitty is so pretty! He had me cracking up😂❤️
I’ve never used falsies before.
Lol.
gonna try your tip. thanks!
I knew you did the steps by your makeup. IT LOOKS AMAZING.
Love this 😀 ❤️ would love a part 2
Great tips....
My life changing foundation tip: 1 foundation 4 ways...
Get a high coverage foundation (I use la girl dewy finish)
1. Use it as concealer... Use foundation as usual... Then on areas u need extra help use it as concealer... Covers light pigmentation n u don't really need to invest in high coverage concealer
2. Foundation + moisturizer = bb cream... But dewy foundation will get so oily... I spritz my face with rose water then apply dots of foundation n then mix with brush (use half quantity than full coverage routine) u can also use setting spray
3. Converting dewy foundation to matte:
Powder ur whole damn face n let it bake... Dust out the excess top with matte setting spray
4. Make ur dewy foundation wet glossy foundation by mixing a little illuminator n topping with dewy setting spray
Great tips and your co-host is adorable!
When I accidentally shaved a chunk of eyebrow off, this was my “eyebrows will absolutely not move” routine:
1. Eyeshadow primer all over the eyebrow using my finger. To apply, I would just swipe (still with some pressure) along the direction of hair growth.
2. Brow pen
3. Spray hairspray on my finger and press it onto the brow.
I always struggle with keeping makeup on my face and I didn’t want my eyebrows to slip off during work. This never failed me!!
I use stiff stuff gel to hold them
@@tisa6193 when do you apply the hair gel? I can't seem to apply pencil after and i can't know in advance where i need to fill when i lift them up with gel
Love your videos and love these great tips. You are gorgeous. Please share your favorite cream eyeshadows that last all day. 💕💕💕🎄🎄🎄
I do the same! Got sick of realizing I didn’t wet my sponge and having to get up so I got a spray bottle from dollar store and love it!
Hey there Zabrena here's a tip to curl your eyelashes each time you apply your mascara hold it Midway for 10 seconds and a lot of the time I will fan my eyelashes while I'm holding it it curls them beautifully. Sincerely April
This was fun! You look so beautiful Zabrena!💖
Mikko is beautiful! We're a 3 kitty household, love them!
My tip may already be common knowledge but, you can use tinted brow gel to tint gray hair or clear to hold baby hairs where they are supposed to be.
You look like an Angel..loved all the tips and the extra kitty purrs! Hugs from NC!💜
I love the tips. Love your kitty, his purring is so cute
I like to add a little dab of sunscreen to my heavy foundations. It makes it spread and blend easier. Also put a tiny bit of loose pigment on a mirror. Then put 1 drop of iglot and stir/mix. It's like a liquid shadow, but lasts all day!
Love the added purring sound effects. Handsome cat!! Want to try the corn starch tip
You look stunning. I love your makeup and your hair! 💗
Loved this! Please do a part 2 on these tips.
♥️♥️♥️♥️your videos, especially your "makeup tips videos". Please keep em coming👍👍👍
My tip would include applying CT flawless filter under the eyes before foundation & it brightens your under eye spots even more before you apply the concealer. Also if your masa area is hardening up spray Mac fix plus in it or even a drop of eye drops and it will become creamier.
Sorry but that mascara tip is a good way to get blepharitis or another eye infection. 😖
Love the kitty almost as much as the tips!
I curled my eyelashes with my fingers for years but, i wait a few seconds for the mascara to dry slightly. It works!!!!!
Great video and I loved seeing and hearing your cute kitty cat 💖
It’s always such a joy to watch you, you always make me smile. Big hugs from the UK.
I like to use cream contour, a slight mist of setting spray then foundation . It blends so well and looks natural.
Love this video and I'm waiting for part 2!
Tip #1: put clear brow gel on top of mascara, after it drys, to stop transfer
Tip #2: don't set ur concealer and just tap out creases throughout the day
Tip #2 alternative: U don't need to set concealer everywhere, just use an eyeshadow brush to set in the creases
ALL of the tips were so good. Please do a sequel.
This was a great video! I must tell you that your sweet kitty cat is absolutely GORGEOUS! Made me laugh out loud while watching!
I love that you can hear the kitty purring
Great tips! On the one about adding concealer to sunscreen, it's important to realize that chemicals in the concealer could render the sunscreen inactive.
Best to use mineral rather than chemical sunscreens for this. And in general.
I can hear him purring. ❤ So cute
Great tips yes!! Part two please and what a gorgeous cat!! He looks at you while u talk so freaking adorable
I do the setting spray after most steps but I use a blow dryer on cool to speed it up!
I use my blow dryer too!
