'Flash Point' is one of the best cop dramas in my opinion. What makes it so terrific is they keep it real. It doesn't always end hunky dory and the characters aren't bigger than life. They question themselves at times and you can almost feel the stress (both physically and emotionally) by their performances. That being said, I sure don't envy what real cops have to endure, and this show doesn’t sugar coat or glamorize the job. This scene was one of many memorable ones. Thanks for posting this.
I recently heard Gnossienne N1. It's such a subtlely powerful song. Apparently it was living rent free in my head this entire time. So naturally I couldn't stop listening to it until i remembered where i had heard it. In that time i came to learn what the song represents. If i remember correctly its along the lines of of a higher understanding of ones self. The ability to precieve, change and grow. An excellent choice.
I am not a Police Officer but the mental health aspect of this episode is really eye opening. Struggling with mental health myself really hits home for me with this clip. God Bless Police Officers!
One thing I always appreciated about this series, and this scene, is that it acknowledged that not all the people the police confront are complete monsters. More often that not, the antagonists were understandable men and women driven to extremes by tragic situations or events beyond their control. And sometimes, they had to be stopped to prevent a greater loss of life.
Yeah, that's what I loved about this. It shows just how hard these jobs actually are. How human it is. The American cop dramas always shows the cops running and gunning and being the hero. But that's not always the case. It's rarely that clear cut
My absolute favorite episode of Flashpoint. I LOVE this show, and this piece of music made me cry. Gnossiene 1 by Erik Satie. The vocals added to the feel of lament in this episode.
Excellent! This is the best episode of all. I've watched it several times. I had my husband watch it - who deals with a lot anxiety at work and at play. This is for people who are strong to their own demise. It's okay to hurt and it's okay to cry.
even after all this time, this still is one fo the few (if not only) shows which dates to show this part of the job. "The job is black and white, how you feel isn't". just amazing
I'm fighting the same battle, brother. Extensive therapy has helped me a lot, and I'm relatively well adjusted. Please, reply to this and reach out if you need to talk to someone who can relate. No judgement. Only listening. Please don't let yourself fall through the cracks and become a statistic. Please.
As a law enforcement professional. This show was way over dramatized. But man it was good at showing there are 2 sides to every story. And how hard Cops have it.💙

Anyone got the clip from the episode Haunting the Barn where Ed talks down former Team One commander Daniel "Danny" Rangford and they talk about seeing ghosts everywhere they go?
How do you make these video/clips. Is there a website or something. Do you download the episode then cut out the clips you want to post? I want to do the same for this show and many other but dont know how.
Whats the name of this song ever since someone played at my performance hour ive wanted to know the name of this song! I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!! PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THX
+Janae Horn It is "Gnossienne No.1" by Erik Satie. The vocals are added in for the episode along with some additional mixing but the piano piece is still beautiful on its own. It was selected by the writer, Adam Barken, because of a special meaning which he did not divulge.
It may have been "Gnossienne No.1" by Erik Satie with added vocals which where in fact Leah Salomaa. I just only wished and hope that they could to do a special OST soundtrack of Flashpoint as part of a special tribute.
To my understanding, this 18 year old knew what she was doing and was going to take a life. Some are beyond saving and are truly evil. There's no shame in it.

The idea that Clark was playing the music that supports this scene is genius. What a show... Nothing compares to it.

If I remember right, Hugh Dillon counted this as his favorite episode as it showed how much of a toll being a police officer takes on someone.

BEST FLASHPOINT EPISODE EVER.

Although this is a good episode, I believe there is one that overrides this one; that being "Forget Oblivion."
Fault lines was my favorite
even after all this time, this still is one fo the few (if not only) shows which dates to show this part of the job.
"The job is black and white, how you feel isn't".
just amazing
No argument here, I dare say that this episode did a better job in showing the emotional toll on police officers better then any U.S. cop show.
This is so accurate, the guilt, the anger, the what if, I suffer from PTSD myself and I cry every day asking myself why

Absolutly perfect song, for this amazing moment on one of the very few good police show.
he nailed this episode :)
I sure hope Hugh Dillon got some kind of award for his performance in this episode
He actually did. Best Actor in a Television Drama for this episode at the Canadian Screen Awards in 2014.
@@dermann439 Nice :), seeing the range he put into his performance for this episode he deserved it.

Man, that scene was rough, brought tears to my eyes, a great piece of acting by Hugh Dillion!
Eddie is a good man, and a great cop.
one of my favorite epsidoes
The Ghost never go away
I know I've heard this many times, but this has got to be made into a Flashpoint OST Soundtrack as a special tribute.
Poor Eddie :(
Anyone got the clip from the episode Haunting the Barn where Ed talks down former Team One commander Daniel "Danny" Rangford and they talk about seeing ghosts everywhere they go?
This show should have been called Flashtears.
i miss this show so god damn bad
I can play that song in the piano :)
@124pim To the best of my knowledge this version is not released. It's something they did specifically for this episode (the vocals).
I need this version of this song! Anyone know where I could find it? I'm just finding the original version with no vocals.
Erik Satie - Gnossienne no. 1
