Really like the idea of how you want to use the hallway. It can really set the tone for newcomers and make them feel welcomed.

I would put some ferns or other plants that do well in low light on that ledge in the stairway where you said you could put artifacts. With all of that tile and white plaster, the greenery would really soften the space and make it feel more warm “lush” and less “cold”.

Love your ideas for the staircase. Gallery with lighting would be spectacular and that top landing would be an ideal space for a bench and coat rack-would make the living room feel larger.

GREAT job with the photo over-lays to help us visualize your design concepts. Love this new video. Keep up the good work on taking us through the reno's step-by-step

I love the guest bedroom idea! If you kept the coffee station to lower cabinets, the upper area of the wall could have a mounted television. Plus, the coffee station could be a kitchen for now while you get the new-kitchen installed.
The landing to the upper terrace is screaming to be an office. A stained glass window above your front door would be lovely.
I would have more artwork on the wall facing the entrance to the new-kitchen.

I agree with the bar suggestion. That little area leading to the terrace is too dark, small, and half under the stairs. I've been remote working when I'm there from the bedroom by the balcony. Lots of light and fresh air; al fresco working!

Wow, you certainly do have vision. Love, love, love the future plans for Casa Stefano! I can already see you enjoying your new place just sitting back on a comfy sofa with candles lit, music playing and a glass of wine in hand! Wonderful! 🍷🕯

Love the idea of using the stairwell as a gallery. I never noticed how many railing you had until you removed them in the video. You might consider doing some sort of artistic railing - maybe it's rope or cable or wood - something that adds another texture and is visually pleasing. I like your idea of adding a coatrack on the top landing - maybe a small table there for keys/wallet etc would work there too.

Love your schematic that got rid of some of the stair rails! Too many! Ones that are left could be painted white or replaced with light colored wood. The dark ones look too institutional. Also, don’t forget some plants would be pretty and soften it up plus add interest. Love the idea of the lighting and art work! How is the bath coming along?

I never noticed the excessive rails until editing this video! The family I bought the house from probably put them in for an elderly member. The steps are quite tall. I'll keep the ones I remove for my later years...
Ahhh the bath, you ask. That video is coming and will reveal a lot of changes.

Greetings from 🇨🇦 your idea to add artwork on the staircase walls is a nice one I noticed a window do you have a green thumb? a few plants on each level would brighten the seating arrangement and make it warmer and inviting

I agree about plants. There is enough light at the top/second landing for a low-light low-water succulent in a big pot. I see cacti in pictures of Salento homes a lot, but that could be a little prickly!
