I like having a plan, but I also look forward to downtime when I can lean into my 7 and fly by the seat of my pants. I can always tell when I am in my 7 because I want to buy a random plane ticket and see where I end up. The plan helps me get things done so I can rest and feel safe leaning into a fun time. As for getting distracted, I do that too! I feel like a ferret sometimes.
I am 1 and my hubby is 8. What can I say…21 keys traits😅 (except compare myself to others) for me. Usually, I am worrying on getting things done in a timely manner.
I am a 1w9 (I can have procrastination tendencies)and husband is a 9, and I’m not sure of the wing. Learning the enneagram has been a blessing for me and our marriage! I used to take his feet dragging as meaning he didn’t care about me. (The church example was spot on 😂). But who else besides a 9 would tolerate me and my ways? I think God put him in my life to learn patience, tolerance and how to relax and live in the moment. He appreciates me for “handling “ life’s details and tries to anticipate my “wants” to avoid drama. We’re a match made in heaven 😇. Love your videos ❤.
I disagree a bit on the rules part. Ones aren't called "The Reformer" because we just mindlessly follow the established rules, if the rules are logigal to us then yes we get angry when people don't follow them, but we can still perceive some rules as unfair on nonsensical and not care about following them.
You make a great point! Enneagram Type 1s definitely have their own set of values and perspectives on rules. It's all about what resonates logically and ethically with us.
My dad is a 1. I also think he has narcissistic tendencies. Wondering if there is a correlation there, or if any of the enneagram types can be narcissistic. Because he has high expectations of himself, he can lack concern or empathy about the needs of those around him. It seems like his needs and schedule are priority. I’m glad he’s productive, but this is a high cost for those around him to pay, and it makes me not want to be around him.
It's interesting how Enneagram types can manifest in different ways in people's behavior. Type 1s often have high standards, which can sometimes come off as lacking empathy. It's definitely a complex dynamic, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on it!
I like your videos, but as an artist, I am put off by the use of AI in your thumbnail. Please consider forgoing the use of AI to generate creative imagery such as your UA-cam thumbnails. It may not seem like a big deal, but feeding generative AI art tools causes a trickle effect that can negatively impact artists’ livelihoods (these tools use other artists’ works oftentimes without their permission). Your previous thumbnails were nice and simple to look at, even if they took time to make. I know many artists and I would appreciate if you could redo this thumbnail and keep this in mind for future thumbnails you make.
The husband did the right thing leaving the wife at home. You know, I think there was this guy in a garden who put his relationship with his wife before God . . . . . . And then God said that people who don't hate their family/spouse for His sake aren't worthy of Him (Luke 14:26).
Speaking of your setup .. I always have appreciated the lighting ! Soft neon in the background but a clear soft light on face 🥂
Thank you, I appreciate it!
As a Type 1, I am working on more 7. 🥰
That's great to hear!

Thanks, I will think about changing that.
