I don think it was best that Gungun was born in the mortal realm. However you can't expect Fengjiu to know what her parents and grandma think about Dong Hua but knowing what a power god he is, I think it is funny she believes her family would only think of him as a good looking man not worthy of marrying her

He didn't know about his child, as he didn't get a breather at all, to look for her as he got over-busy with Miou Lou breaking the seal of Miyaoi Chasm, as well as his health getting deteriorated as he transferred Cold toxin of Ji Heng to himself to get rid of her permanently. Apart from all these reasons, he had promised her family that he'll always give her freedom to decide for herself and take her own decisions, and when she left him, he had to keep his promise. Both were led by ill-fate, Dijun getting busy and sick due to his responsibilities as the ruler of the world, and Fungjiu getting jealous and insecure due to her excessive love for Dijun.
