I really admire the amount of passion you have for this game. The level of detail is just mind blowing considering the size of your dev studio. I have my first VR headset on the way just to play this, I can't wait! I also thank you for not modelling in having to clean the gun every other shot. I spend more time cleaning my BP revolvers than I do actually shooting them sometimes!

i have a mossberg model 190D it is in 16 gauge, it is a bolt action shotgun, pretty simple to clean really, i just take a ram rod with some gun cleaner on a cotton ball and run it down the barrel till it comes out of the chamber, get rid of the carbon, it is mag fed, i also have a bolt action 410, mossberg model 73A, it is a single shot.
Depends on the revolver in question. The swing out revolvers usually have speedloaders, and they can be reloaded only slightly slower than a semi-auto pistol with enough practice. With the Peacemaker type revolvers... I’d almost much rather have a flintlock lol
I'm so glad this made it in, never thought he would add flintlocks. My grandfather was a civil war re-enactor and any time I went to visit him I slept in the room where he kept all his period gear, including several replica muskets and a genuine early bolt action thingy. He let me play with them as long as I was careful and didn't point at people, so I had a lot of fun holding out against invisible badguys outside the window to the backyard. Thank you for letting me relive a part of my childhood from within H3.

Just got the game, couldn't figure how to work the gun, saw the start of this video, overloaded the gun thinking nothing would happen, fired the gun and was absolutely surprised when the gun blew up. Absolutely amazed by the level of detail you poured into this gun and all the other guns actually. Seriously impressed by the fact that you can actually see the barrel fill up as you pour gun powder into the barrel.
When he demonstrated the replacement of the flint it finally dawned on me how this class of firearm got its name. I can't believe it took me 20 years to figure that out. Thanks for teaching me something new about guns, Anton!

It's really hard to get any firearms in Northern Ireland unless you live out in the country so this is the next best thing, and I've never seen a dev so commited to their work and still making the time to talk to those that follow the development as much as you do. H3VR has definitely come a long way since it started. I may have a late Christmas, possibly midway into the new year, but it'll be worth every second of waiting to finally get to experience this in its fully glory. this is absolutely amazing. a little tidbit; paul harrell has a video on muzzle loaders where he demonstrates loading a double barrel rifle (yes, rifle) with black powder. while the change in pitch is a good indication you're close, a better indication is that the ramrod bounces if you drop it in the barrel. while this would be completely impractical to implement, and this system works more than well enough, i just thought it was an interesting tidbit. i'd also recommend paul's channel in general if you're not familiar with him, he's actually very amusing.

There was this dnd game that i saw and basically, someone got a anti magic ring for a quest, but the affect was so small it was only useful for magic locks, BUT he asked the mage to shrink cannonballs to a flintlock pistol ball size, he loads it and fitted the anti magic ring which would have the tiny cannonball go through and resize back up and bam mini cannon
Gosh dang it. I was literally waiting all day for this update and decided to do a few runs in Take & Hold. Just as I get out of VR and am too tired to jump back in, it finally arrives. Heckin'... Thank you though Anton, I'll be plenty happy to toy around with this tomorrow.

That flintlock system is very pretty, I have a small petition, now that you have created this, a new gun could be the Arquebus, its a bit diferent, having a matchlock, but I think it could be very similar to implement it, just a different muzzle loading gun.
You'd think the honor would go to one of the anti-materiel rifles or the minigun or giant 1911, but no... This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen and now my favorite item in the game. Can't wait to play around with it!

Muskets, maybe early rifles? Also does the amount of powder affect the muzzle velocity or damage, and does how far you ram it down the barrel affect this too?
This is so fucking cool... I never thought I would want to fumble around with the excruciatingly long process of reloading a flintlock while getting shot at, but now I do.
@@AntonHand So there will be a musket update coming eventually? That is awsome! The video was very helpful. We had everything figured out except the black powder on the striker plate. After a few trys, the loading process was quite easy to master. Not sure that I would want to go through all of that in the heat of battle, but when you land a shot, it is lethal.
I'm unbelievably happy with the muzzle loader! I spent 2 hours fucking around with it today and can't wait for more. I sincerely hope for a whitworth rifle so we can have something that's actually accurate.
You should add “patches” that you put on the ball before you load it if not using pre loaded cartridges because if you didnt the room in the barrel wouldnt build full pressure but mainly projectile could fall out hence those rods to screw into the ball to get it out. So if someone didnt do that in the game and at “x” angle the projectile will fall out. Also, you should add it in to where you can make your own cartridges by cutting the paper at an angle etc.. and one more thing i love how your adding in more historical guns that are realistic to how they looked and worked this can teach a lot of people. Love the work and vids so keep up the great work.

With flintlocks it's better to discard the gun you just fired and pull out a new pre- loaded flintlock like reaper from overwatch.

No. It is time limited bother for performance reasons, and because moving through large persistent particle cards in VR looks terrible.

ok, so the flat part of the ram rod is the ramming part and usually concave because lead is soft so the force needs to be spread out

I did know about tapping the trigger to put powder in the flash pan so I would just take the big thing of powder and then dump a ton on the flash pan

You should add “patches” that you put on the ball before you load it if not using pre loaded cartridges because if you didnt the room in the barrel wouldnt build full pressure but mainly projectile could fall out hence those rods to screw into the ball to get it out. So if someone didnt do that in the game and at “x” angle the projectile will fall out. Also, you should add it in to where you can make your own cartridges by cutting the paper at an angle etc.. and one more thing i love how your adding in more historical guns that are realistic to how they looked and worked this can teach a lot of people. Love the work and vids so keep up the great work.

Every time I see these updates I want this game even more, it sucks that VR is so expensive but this game alone makes me want to spend the money on it! This is some incredible work and I can't wait to see what comes next!
