Rhino 7 come with SubD. That is the same as T-spline. I have a playlist of SubD tutorial videos and a SubD course on my website you can check them out. www.pjchendesign.com

the command bar doesn't need to be install. it is part of the interface. I use PC. You try to right click your mouse if it is hidden.

It depend on what you have now. mac or pc. I personally like pc better but many of my student use mac as well.
