i need to see yanni at takhti or yarigin....zain knows that shit aint no joke. it's cool and ask that they're good but Russia and Iran got some folks waiting
@Joseph Reed Punia is no longer number 1. Diakomihalis derailed that hype train already. Handily. The two top wrestlers in the weight are from usa (zain and yianni)
Imagine if Yianni Diakomahalis, Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Dake, Jason Nolf and Brent Metcalf were in one weight class for four collegiate years. I’d be sweating at just the quarter finals of that weight class😂😂
Sure, Zain won the matches, but the fact that Yianni can do this well at such a young age is so impressive. I'm pretty sure Yianni is no where near his prime yet. Zain is also super good, but as good as Zain is, he seems to be peaking already. I could be wrong though
Even though Zain has beaten Yianni twice and Yianni has only beaten Zain once, you have to keep in mind that Yianni is only 20 years old. Zain is 24. Yianni is ahead of his years.
Yes, but you can’t look at it that way only. Zain is still very young and is also improving-I don’t know how long each has been doing FS. I’ll say this: even if Yianni were to win four national championships, I can’t see him surpassing Zain. It’s because Yianni isn’t as good as turning his opponents. I think the fact that Zain can still competes at such a level when he doesn’t get minutes-he gets ten seconds in FS-to wear down his opponent is a testament of how good he is.
Extremely annoying. If anything, FS is better than folkstyle at limiting such exchange. In college, you’ll see matches where over half the time is spent on one opponent holding to an ankle as defense; it doesn’t favor attacking wrestlers as it’s not worth the risk to keep shooting and not finishing.
Yianni and Zain are top notch. Both great competition for eachother.

@@tropicalterrarium1742 that's why there's no one representing the U.S. at 65kg.
I just watched a 3 minute commercial about soap
Yianni Diakomihalis and Zain Retherford, one of the most exciting scraps I've seen in a long while cudos to both of them!
I admire that Yianni wrestles until the absolute end. Zain Train all the way though 🔥
Jeremiah Aldape you cant even say all the way though...
K.squared but I did 👀
Clearly you’re just ignorant then... or didn’t see the results at the Open.
K.squared I’ve seen the results. I know what happened. I’m just a HUGE Zain fan. Zain Train all the way.
Well with that being said I can understand your stance! Yianni is the future and that is undeniable. We will see what happens.

Josh Rubin freestyle favors yianni because of his defensive yet offensive style. But zain would defiantly beat him every time in folkstyle
Two warriors show the world how it's done!!! Wow,!!!
Great match
yianni a true junior. gonna be the GOAT
Great match!
