I see David's title of "a man after God's own heart" as directional. David is pursuing God's heart, he isn't just like God. His heart isn't just like God's heart. But despite his struggles and massive failures, He keeps heading back to God. He never stops his continuing relationship with God, but keeps going after Him. I could be wrong, but that's how I read it.
I love the monthly summaries. They help me process so much and keep details straight. I know this can be a lot and "too much" for many people, but keep going! We are 151 days in and He will continue to meet us here in TBR community! Thank you, Lord, for the access to your Word and a dedicated group of people to help us understand it better. Hallelujah and amen!
Thank you, Tara Leigh! I'm so thankful that you listened to God's leading and are now spending your time spreading His good news to the world. You are helping people understand His eternal patience and forgiveness to us and how blessed we are to be a recipient of His love and salvation. Thank you! I'm 68, and I've been a Christian since I was 8 years old, but TBR has helped me grow so much closer to the Lord just by staying in His word daily. ❤🙏🏻🤗
Thank you so much TLC for sharing your story, on the "Renew You Podcast", it resonates with me very well, especially at the end. God continue to strengthen you and us all as we work in His will even though His will sometimes opposes our desires. Following His Will is hard sometimes, but it is WORTH it ALL THE TIME! ❤&💡
I assume that if we are raised in the church from a young age, we learn about main Bible characters as if they were like super hero’s. It is the “rated G” version. If we never never continue to seek and study and grow/mature in our faith and learning….it probably would end up creating shock and disappointment, possibly confusion in what our actual role is….and miss the ultimate point, which is Jesus!
Yesss!!!! I think modern society has been teaching how WE are the center of the universe (tongue in cheek) and how "We" just need the affirmation of how good we are and how "we" just need "self affirming care/me time/treat yourself, etc". There's a lot of false teachers out there...secular AND supposed Christians. We deserve nothing but death. People don't want to hear that because they are too wrapped up in themselves and all the world that says they are "good people". God is the only GOOD there is.
"David being a man after God's heart" From the many things I've read about David. He was fearless even at a very young age. As young as he was, he was already a shepherd. (A leader to one of the dumbest animals) Thirdly, I believe we all understand the power of gratitude. David was always and always grateful. It's mind-blowing to see how he showed us these acts of gratefulness in each Psalm. David FEARED God, emphasis on "feared". Remember when he had to kill a man for 'claiming' he killed Saul, (God's anointed one?) Wow Oh, I love it that he went to great extents to show how sorry he was when he was wrong. He was humble! He had a strong faith in him David loved seeking God You can count his many sins but I believe God's heart bubbled with joy everytime that man ran to him repenting. There's even a portion that recorded that the only sin David committed was that of killing Uriah the Hittite. I was marveled! He's where the JOY is!
I am on day 148 and the video for it seems to be missing. I thought maybe the reason would be in this corrections and reflections video. Can anyone let me know why?
never mind! I found it just out of order.... I have found that once before too where the video I needed was somewhere else not in the right order.......
Be careful, the things of the spirit are to be discern spiritually 1 cor 2:14,15, the BIble is not a book of history or literature, the Bible is a spiritual book about God; pay no attention to what this lady says about the daily study, let the Holy Gosh give you understanding about the word of God
GOD is so good to us praise HIM
