The reason for using PD pump is
* it provides laminar flow so no chances of water getting emulsified.
* it prevents disintegration of oil globules.

sir what is the reason when temperature of sludge increases beyond 60 degree or fall down below 40 sludge pump discharge decreases

* mostly the sludge pump on board will b single screw pump on which the stator will be some spl kind of rubber so if the temp go high the rubber in the stator get damage quickly so the flow decreases.
* if the temp reduces the oil density decrease again which reduces the flow.
It is always better to maintain 45-55 degree for getting good discharge rate and to keep the pump stator in u good condition

What is the purpose of heater on OWS sir?
When separating liquids from each other, heating to certain temperatures enhances separation. When the temperature of an oil and water emulsion is increased, the viscosity of oil is decreased. This lower viscosity allows the gas and water molecules to be more easily released.
Wen heating the oil get more lighter and easy to separate from water.

When separating liquids from each other, heating to certain temperatures enhances separation. When the temperature of an oil and water emulsion is increased, the viscosity of oil is decreased. This lower viscosity allows the gas and water molecules to be more easily released.
Basically heating will make oil water separation more easier..

This s known as siphon breaker.. It prevents the water flowing back to the system of there s any malfunction of valves..

The idea is to flush the system with clean water.. Either you can use fresh water or sea water.. No problem sir
