Thank You to the Foxes and the Fossils for keeping this timeless music ALIVE!
Major Wow...Beautiful Job, Nothing left to chance.....Deja Vu from a classic period of music unmatched that some of us were fortunate enough to live through. Grateful
Deju Vu of a song from the Deja Vu album. Compliments in the comments from one of the sound engineers who produced it, Stephen Barncard.
This is the greatest cover of Carry On ever made!
As good or better than the original ! I, too, remember quite well.
Thankyou!
I agree
Definitely! Spot on!
Face it. When the F&Fs harmonize, it's magical and mind blowing. Does anyone blend as well as they do? Not even close.
Y’all’s harmonies are amazing!!! Y’all blend so well!
That was a REALLY good cover. It actually made me go back and listen to the original song. That usually never happens...
I'm getting the harmony chills. WOW!
As a CS&N super fan, I have to say it takes guts to cover one of their hits. The harmonies are beautiful and luminous worthy of David, Stephen and Graham. Thanks for the music you continue to produce and share. The world is a better place because of of F&F.
...and they've covered 4 CSN hits. "Suite Judy Blue Eyes " being the first song F&F ever performed in public.
Absolutely Fabulous. Can I come and hang out for a month I'll wash dishes n take out the trash. Love you guys.
@@lynwessel2471 off the charts good . . .
beautiful renditions of everything they sing
I have to agree. CSN were maybe the best harmonizers in rock, and F&F do as well as they did. Wow.
This cover is PURE HAPPINESS
The F&F voices are so well suited to CSN material. All the parts are there (and then some) super high level performance done with expertise and PASSION!
Yeah, they oughta get Graham Nash down there to do something with them. Perfect for CSN&Y.
@@Mooseman327 They ought to have some cameo appearances by some celebrities hanging out in the background or clapping. The group Starcrawler did this in one of their videos called "Goodtime Girl". Danny Trejo and David Hasselhoff had brief appearances in that one.
@@Mooseman327 How about 'Teach your Children'?

@@johnfran3218 You got something different from the video than what I did.
The harmonys on this band just get better and better.
I am old enough to have been around when CSNY were making their music. What I enjoy about these videos is the three young ladies on vocals embracing music that was written and recorded long before they were born.
F&F is helping an entirely new generation to appreciate and enjoy the incredible music from eras gone by and we all should appreciate that. They are helping to keep this music alive and well. What's that old saying......"Everything old is new again...."?
You 'guys' are phenomenal. One of my favorite songs. I hope to see y'all soon.
I’m always blown away by the F&F’s. Their vocals, harmonies and musicianship makes them the best cover group on UA-cam. Individually and collectively they are amazing.
Unequaled cover group,, we can't help but wonder how well they would do singing 'original' this genre music. There must be literally hundreds of writers out there who could provide their compositions to F&F for their solely owned label. They would be a huge hit I am certain.
There are other cover groups as talented on youtube. F\F are among the best for sure.
@@tigerhawkz4402 Please name a couple, I would love to see and hear them. I have seen some very good cover bands on UA-cam, but none with the overall talent and production ability and quality as F&F.
@@davidloe100 Leonid and Friends from Russia is a fantastic cover band of Chicago, as well as Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and Earth, Wind and Fire, or any band with horns.
@@randall6157 I won’t deny that but they are not just a UA-cam cover band. They tour worldwide. I’m sure there are 1,000s of cover bands on UA-cam that I’ve never heard. I realize the comment I replied to your comment that made its sound like the are run of the mill and no better. My comment was meant to say that in my opinion I think they are among the best.
Being a card-carrying fossil myself, I find it to be truly wonderful that much of the music of my youth turned out to be as profound as we all thought it was the first time we heard it. Listening to F&F is pure joy. You guys (& gals) are absolutely awesome.
MORE THAN AGREE (if that's possible!! LOL)
Well said 6String! ☮️❤️🎸 From a fellow Fossil
us old daugs know it when we hear it since we were there at its' inception ☮❤✝
As a fellow fossil I say well said. This music still sounds magical.
This is the greatest cover of Carry On ever made ... effectivement !!!
Sounds better than when it played from so many dorm rooms when I was in college. 69-73.
I'm gonna say it: Better than the original
I wore that LP out 50 years ago. Loved CSN and especially Carry On and you all killed every note of it. You are phenomenal!
The guitars sound so much like the only CSNY concert I saw, where Stephen Stills just kind of roamed the stage as he played the parts. He did it with such ease, to perfection. Hearing this brings back that whole scene. You all go beyond any one that makes CSNY covers. What a treat!!!!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!!!! Fantastic musicianship on both instrumentals and vocals. This one is MAGIC!!!!!
When I first heard Carry On, CSN&Y, Deja Vu, 1970, I went nutzo. When I heard these folks play and sing, I went nutzo once more. These harmonies exceed CSN&Y.
Excellent job! And massive props to whomever mixed this - the mix is gold!
Band leader Tim Purcell ( black T shirt) does the arranging , recording, mixing, and video editing.
Wow! That was as good as it gets. Beautiful.
Great song covered greatly. The line "Rejoice, rejoice we have no choice, but to carry on!" still gives me chills.
“Very hard song song to sing, but it doesn’t surprise me that you guys nailed it!” Spot on.
Congrats. Glad to see this new endeavor.
LOL I've been trying to harmonize with this record for 55 years
I loved this beautiful rendition. So cool. Top notch musicianship. Bravo!
I’m 68. Agree with Les. I remember. Thank you for this choice. We know how hard you work to make these songs perfect. I thought Judy Blues done live was amazing. But with precision and outstanding mixing, together with your unbelievable harmonies and reproduction of instruments that is just as CSN&Y performed it in the studio some 50 years ago. Please don’t stop. We love your work! And girls, this is not your generation’s music. Thanks for the gift of performing it as if it was. You have no idea how deeply you have reached into our lives and hearts. PLEASE DON’T STOP!!! Rick
Guitar Work was Just Phenomenal!!!! WOW Memories!!!
Real Great rendition of this song, One of my favorite from CSNY, awesome job. Congratulations from Paris France !!!!
Wow. The utter beauty of the five part harmony. It is imperfectly perfect. Stunning....
.really. it was beautifully stunning.
Wow! That sounds fantastic! The black electric guitar playing, the malachite guitar, beautiful harmony, synthesizer, drums... Now I remember why I like this song so much. Thank you and God bless you all!
I came back to listen to this cover again and I have to say, Nailed It!! Traveled to see these guys live in Norfolk, Virginia on August 27, 1974. Y'all always bring back memories to me. I have NEVER heard a better cover of this song. You guys and gals are all Top Notch.
Oh man! I just slipped on my gaming headphones and this sounds so many times better!
Absolutely beautiful and incredible!!! Perfect harmonies, flawless musicianship,,,Foxes & Fossils!!! It doesn’t get any better!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Perfecting the already perfected songs... polishing everything they do.
Listening to this for about the the 100th time. Gotta say the skill sets you all possess, and then are able to blend them flawlessly ..its pretty amazing! All the moving parts in this song. The band is so sync'd.. thanks for producing this gem! ❤
How refreshing to hear and see this group Foxes and Fossils bring back sounds of the 70s and 80s, also the children’s group from Canada called Leave those kids alone, both are fantastic as the drummer for the kids group is only 13 years old, she plays drums like a pro!
The a cappella bit in the middle is sensational!!
The girls bring a softness that heightens a brilliant performance of classic. 😎
Just can’t imagine the time it took to get those vocals so tight and perfect. The video editing was off the charts!
As a fossil, I think it's awesome watching these young ladies, who are all at least 25 years younger than this song, light up with expressive joy while performing here. And I hate to repeat what a lot of others have said but you guys and gals just nailed this one. Play, repeat, repeat, repeat, put it on Loop! Love you all!
I just never get tired of listening to this, over and over. Instantly takes me back to the songs release, 15yrs old and caught up in all of this.
Every Covered song some how sounds like an original and while I hate to say it's better than the original what I will say it's like a car with a new paint job...only shinier! Again Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of reliving our youth and feeling alive and fresh again. I'm 78 and have played in bands that supported Jimmy Page (Yardbirds) The Walker Brothers, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and The Temptations. So I know my music and everytime you present something, it's a hit right out of the ball park. Come to Australia, the doors are open.
Ditto :)
Not even close to the origin
@@chrisaldrich7770 you want the original download or buy the cd. we are talking about F&F rendition and contribution.
@@chrisaldrich7770 Beethoven's Fifth Symphony was first performed in 1805. Every orchestra leader's interpretation over the past 217 years is a little different. We're only a half century downstream of CSNY's original here, and while there is some variation due to the voices and equipment and recording techniques used, it's still arguably quite true to the recording on "Déjà Vu". If you'd care to explain how you think it varies markedly, you're welcome to do so.
ThankYou very much, Peter, for your kind words. You know the ins/outs,ups/downs as well as anyone in nthis music business. We are just fortunate to have kind of accidentally fallen up into this F&F Adventure. And if it keeps a steady trot, well, I would love to come to Australia. Its on the Bucket List. ThankYou, Sir.- Darwin Conort
I am absolutely crushed learning about Scott King's passing. He is undoubtedly my favorite bassist of all time and fortunately Tim always pulled the bass out clearly and cleanly in his production. Scott's driving bass line laid the foundation but he always filled open opportunities in most songs for beautiful bass runs that were a joy to listen to and watch. Being from my area the "757" as we call it (area code 757) Scott was our closest contact to Foxes and Fossils. This song was published in November but it couldn't apply better for right now. It's going to be tough Foxes and Fossils but "Carry On", you know it is what Scott would have wished. Scott responded to one of my compliments in a prior song by deferring and complimenting Johnny Pike and how he plays music on the drums. I never met Scott but that comment tells a lot about who he was. Man this hurts and I can't even imagine what all of you FNF are feeling. Once again I am crushed.
They will carry on. Scott wanted his younger brother Ross to carry on for him.(Professional bassist) time will tell what the band wants to do ...likely get a few more featuring Scott on bass first. Still 6 remaining from the Bella's show that haven't been posted.
@@lynwessel2471 Hi Lyn, Thanks so much for your comments present and past. It is obvious that you have a close relationship with FnF, I appreciate your feedback and I feel for your loss. Scott and FnF have provided so many great listening experiences for our enjoyment. I am so glad and lucky that I found FnF and I am so glad I have been able to enjoy the talents of Scott on 4 or 5 string bass or ukulele or singing. Best wishes always to you and the band. Carry On....
@@WindyDazeSunnyDaze Im just a long time fan who found the channel when very few were watching yet. Remember everything they've told us over the years. Took it upon myself along with some other familiar names to be informed and tell fans about this wonderful group as the channel exploded with tens of thousands watching every day now. Hopefully informed fans can better tell others about them, and bring in more fans.
So sorry to hear this.
As a bluegrass bassist, I was always paying particular attention to Scott. He played some tasty lines usually better than the original. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
This is a song that resonates deeply in my fifty something brain. Thank you all, this version is Outstanding.
Beautiful job -- pitch perfect harmony, rhythm, and instrumentation! Thank you!
Darwin is killing it on the guitar, he reminds me of a slightly mellow cross of Hagar and Clapton. I LOVE this group.
Darwin totally *gets* Stephen Stills compositions. It's almost spooky how perfect his guitar work is on this and, of course, on the performance of "Suite" that "started it all."
I imagine a huge effort went into rehearsing this performance. It was worth it. Faultless from beginning to end. Congratulations to all concerned.
Tracks were recorded separately as usual in studio recording. Individual preparation , no group rehearsal.
Extraordinary harmonies. It rivals your classic Suite for Judy Blue Eyes.
What a vocal work! More dynamic (if possible) than the original. Phenomenal alchemy.
What can happen when you take a group of incredibly talented individual musicians and display their collective talents in an atmosphere where no one is trying to outshine anyone else? Every time I go back and view the videos after the initial rush, I find more to appreciate. Thank you once again.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful music with us..!!!
This evokes lovely memories for an old bloke living in a small village in the middle of England! First visited America in 1970, where I purchased a copy of Déjà Vu and carried it home safely in my suitcase! It made the album feel a little more special than if I’d bought it in the UK.
In 1974 I spent some time in North Carolina, from where I drove to Norfolk VA to see CSNY in concert.
Happy days!
Great story, Beyond!
Carry on brother....
I could listen to the bridge on endless repeat for pretty near ever.
One of my favorite songs covered by F & F - it doesn't get any better! Thank you for keeping great music alive. I hope F & F will appear "live" again.
Yes, F&F are "Keeping great music alive"!! For sure......their musicianship is SO great....Keep on, F&F! :-)
ThankYou! We are currently in pre-production for a two night PPV Event in our Hometown-Hapeville, Ga. It's gonna be epic! (Dec 30,31)
You guys must pride yourselves in tackling the most ambitious tunes & you pull it off. Every. Single. Time. Bravo.
! Outstanding! Love those foxes.
@@rmbion what about the fossils ??
I'm constantly amazed at the difficulty of the songs they choose to cover starting with SJBE. These are complex harmonies, odd rhythms, and the timing has to be impeccable.
My thoughts exactly. It was SJBE that first made me realize that very thing. And they nailed it.
@@danblumel Come on now, you know "guys" was used in the collective, right? 😊
This is just overpoweringly great. It like hearing F&F do "Suite" for the first time. If you aren't stunned, you aren't paying attention. Wow.
Thanks F&F! Came back to visit this great performance!
When I'm feeling bad or overwhelmed, I come right to this channel! 👍👍👍
Just as soon as I heard the first two words I knew they had already done it again. Truly amazing.
The 5 part harmony gave me chills. So tight and perfect.
Coming from an old fossil who got up at 5 AM and found your group on facebook I am thrilled. Thanks for great music
Next to “flawless” definition in Webster’s is a picture of F&F! Superb, precise and yep, flawless. 🙏💪
So I have a new definition of a great song... one that is good enough to be covered by Foxes and Fossils. You guys are amazing - thank you again!,,
I have 2 bands that I know will deliver before I even open up my computer-this is one of them. (The other one is a jazz band, the other music I like. If you like jazz, search Joan Chamorro, teacher in (of all places) Barcelona, Spain. He's put together a band of kids-ages 10-21 who consistantly sound like professionals. They sing, they play their instruments and they consistently equal or upstage the experienced 'experts' brought in to inspire them. A couple of places to start: ua-cam.com/video/F2RdBFZie2o/v-deo.html 7 year old Alba's first trumpet solo. ua-cam.com/video/tNHa2580Kwo/v-deo.html a 4 part vocal harmonization of a famous Ella Fitzgerald piece------------and about 1000 more if you look. Another rabbit hole to dive into for those interested!)
😊
I respectfully suggest that we stop calling Foxes and Fossils a “Cover Band”. They are wayyyyy beyond a cover band. I say we should call them a “Remake Band”, as in remaking all original works into much better versions. IMHO.
My idea was the "Uncover Band" ( they uncover the true potential of the original)
Amen!
Absolutely! Outrageous.
I concur with that statement 😊
Tribute band
Love the finger wave that Darwin gave to Toby after Toby nailed his part with the Wa-Wa peddle. These guys are awesome musicians. Spot On!
You harmonies are fabulous in this song.
Your harmony is just so beautiful. I’m more impressed the more I listen to you.
This is awesome - I closed my eyes and just knew I was listening to the original - each time I listen to F&F I am grateful for the amazing music. Thanks for being so good.....
CSNY in their heyday, and what a treat it is to hear this being covered so superbly. Thank you.
Every member of the band did very well ❤️❤️❤️
It's easy to appreciate the complexity of CSN's music when performed by this talented group.
Great Cover of a Great song. Thanks for posting this!
Maggie, Chase, and Sammie are like the three witches in MacBeth...when they get together it's magic.
As a long time listener to CSNY and Neil Young, you guys sound fantastic. Really nice. Keep on Carrying On.
Stunning cover of a solid classic! Absolutely worth watching entertainment. Thank you, F&F
Please never stop. You folks are one of my all time favorite bands.
Remember. The Beatles lasted six years. This is already 11.
Tough song to cover, smashed it👍
In my youth CSN was one of my favorite bands,. I just happened upon your video and was floored. You guys and galls are amazing. Great talent! You bring new energy and feeling back to the songs you perform. Wonderful harmonies as well, Thanks for posting your videos. You all are great!
Superb cover!
Perfect. Immediately jumped into my top 10 Foxes and Fossils songs. Terrific guitar work. And thanks for the reminder of how good a singer Tim is!
Absolutely WOW! I loved CSNY, but you guys are better if that’s possible. Outrageous!💕💕🇨🇦
Wow this made me cry. I called my mom when David Crosby passed away. She said she saw them in the early 70’s in Bloomington Minnesota. This is such a great cover. Absolutely beautiful. Timeless music. Fantastic job.
Well...that was absolutely incredible, tight. Harmonies were a joy.
Do you guys have any idea how well you performed this song. PERFECTION
THanks!

I'd like to hear sloop jb by the beach Boys and learning to fly by foo fighters, all you u guys could play anyy b and in the country x keep up the good work guuys
Fantastic job on my all time CSN(Y) song. Don't see how it could have been done any better.
WOW! First time watching your work. Fantabulous!!!
Nearly 100 excellent cover songs on their video list. ( Click on the F&F logo)
Heck -even by your standards this is pretty amazing. How on earth did you strip down a song as complex as this and put it back together? Terrific harmonies and spot on musicianship. It makes me smile that CSN&Y are rightfully still deemed relevant in 2022.
Thank Tim for knowing how, but with a lot of help from the others for feedback and suggestions.
Fantastic version!! Congratulations
On this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for the F&F’s ❤️👍🏻😎
Awesome! I was raised on this music and I have to say the detail you put into it made it such a absolutely awesome experience
They've said on several occasions that they're a hobby band, not looking for fame or fortune (though flattered by the attention and thankful that people contribute to the tip jar). All but for one have day jobs not performing, or are retired. Only Chase Truran, the lady in the center, is pursuing a career in music performance. Maggie Adams, on the left, works in the music industry in Nashville, but not as a performer. The detail you refer to is coming from Tim Purcell, second from right, who was in a dozen bands before this, and kept a successful cover band, The Mustangs, going for most of 30 years. F&F grew out of a side project to feature Maggie and his daughter Sammie, on right, as lead vocalists. The first song they ever sang onstage was the video of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" that you see here, when the girls were only 15 and 16.
I love seeing Chase smile at the bridge into the Carry On segment. Missed seeing Scott though you can sure hear him.
Trouble getting the video sent to Tim from Virginia Beach VA.
He sounded great, as always!
NAILED IT!!!!!!!
Not really.....you don't "live the dues", "you PAY the dues"
I am blown away. Better than the original.👍👍
Good golly, Miss Molly ! This group just keeps getting better all the time !
You all nailed this cover!!! My hippie days coming back to me.
Another perfect rendition of a great classic. Keep it up!
Pure talent, and an understanding that the sum is better than the one. Great job, love this group.
One of the most talented remake groups I have ever heard!
Wow, never heard a cover remotely this good or accurate! Bravo!
Uma das melhores "COVER BAND" que já vi e ouvi....
THAT was VERY WELL DONE!
I love all the stuff you guys do. I just heard/watched this. Your musicianship and harmonies are incredible. In this you sound like a rock group that could perform
as a church choir.
Given that all three Foxes have church choir backgrounds, that's not surprising. Chase's music teacher at her high school was the choir director at the church Maggie and Sammie grew up in.
I look forward to hearing your next song but can't wait for the day to see you all perform live like the old days love you all so much !!
