Wild that we find this out on a random Runescape stream lol. Would have helped to explain earlier so people could understand the lack of karaoke. I love her voice so I hope she gets better and we can hear more from her
I don't think she should try to please everyone, if some people don't like it, it's fine, the majority love it.
Yep. Rissa is an excellent singer already. She shouldn't force herself to.
im with you by ur statement 🎉🎉
For a singer, damaging your vocal cords is the same as athletes breaking their tendons and joints. Take Julie Andrews for example, her career took a massive shift when her vocal surgery got botched.
Didn’t know you could push your throat to the point of tasting blood. That’s wild
Yeah, it would have to be a major misjudgment on the singer's part. It should hurt or at least feel uncomfortable, way before it bleeds.
@@daunted2322 You most likely won't feel it. I've spat blood before from shouting too much in a football game and felt nothing wrong until the next day.
many voice actors go through this when they have a character that forces their voice
For the confused people google "What is Belting and how to Belt your Singing". It was an eye opener for me, who know nothing about singing and musical theory.
I also have voice damage from belting, but belting doesn't hurt for me, unless my throat was already sore.
I actually damaged my lower register, because i was forcing my chest voice to go higher instead of learning proper (which doesn't work btw). I learned how to belt later, but my middle register was never the same.
So in a way, i have the reverse problem as nerissa, i can belt an F5 no problem, but singing around A4 is actually pretty hard.
I think nerissa should choose songs that showcase other aspects, like versatility, color modulation and maybe explore the lower and middle registers more.
that thumbnail gives me anxiety
