To leave out or ignore key parts defeats the purpose of the art.. considering its not negative.. AND her perspective is in the lane of understanding so to have that Larry Hoover will most likely heighten that insight / character even more.. By the way. rap music IS poetic. But I already knew the whole story behind it, and it wouldn’t have taken too long to explain. My mom has definitely grew up believing all of the media’s misguided views on hip hop / rap culture but I’ve been helping her to change that perspective and she’s had an open mind to that which is nice
