That's what I want in a guest. Nothing worse than the pidcast host who just talks over his guest the whole time repeating the same stories he's told 100x before
Jim was one of the first comedians I really loved. "I Swear To God" was the special. It's been a while, but he had a joke about 9/11 and how Muslims can't drink or eat pork. I think he said "You take bacon and beer away from me, and I'll fly a plane into a fuckin' building"
ironic cause sams the only comedian i hate. the eye brow delivery thing, the i grew up rich oozing out of everything he says, the way he speaks like a guy with a martini in his hand... he sucks
“The funniest I’ve ever been is drunk.” Honestly an incredibly difficult thing to know about yourself when it’s your job and you have a sincere, internal desire to be sober. Awesome guy, even better comedian. ❤
As Jim here skilfully explains it's about a balanced drug diet. Alcohol without coke makes you sloppy. And coke without alcohol is like too much coffee. It's when you combine these two that the magic starts to happen :D
Jim’s method of quitting smoking is the same method I used to finally kick the drinking habit. You just tell yourself “why in the sweet fuck would I willingly drink ethanol? Or put anything in my lungs other than fresh air? I’m not a fucking moron, and that’s moron shit” It works.
He became uncool after he was caught setting people up on his liberal tv show even though he himself could be cancelled for all kinds of things. Comedy community and people generally felt very betrayed by his duplicitous ways. Funny guy though.
There’s one thing we can all agree on, no one tells better stories than Jim. I’ve met Jim a few times, once recently and early in his career. He’s definitely mellowed out, as we all do. But the young angry Jim has produced his best comedy! Cheers Jim
my buddy won tickets from a radio station to see Jim at Constitution Hall back in 2017. the station apparently gave the same tickets to two winners. the attendant told us they were already scanned then walked us to them where there were two ladies already there. we were like alright bummer but they can have them so somebody at least sees the show. the attendant had us wait at the box office area and we assumed we were probably SOL. after like 15 minutes just as he got on she came back and walked us down to floor seats way better than the balcony seats from the radio station and it was probably the funniest 90 minutes of my life.
I just saw mark two nights ago in grand junction colorado and he did the touching the black girls hair joke. I feel honored that we got its first flight.
Great episode, these three have the best chemistry. Also isn't it awesome to realize that even now that Jim's sober, he still sounds like he's on his fourth pint constantly ? lol He may think he was 'funnier when he was drunk', but I reckon he's just naturally funny, one of those hugely talented human beings. And also a pretty darn good bloke.
He should cohost Joe Lists film podcast while Joe is learning how to have a brand new baby while working. The circle of podcast cohosts will be completed!
1:15:39 very interesting theory on Trump’s hair here but the story I heard was that he has an entire floor of his office building in New York dedicated to creating/maintaining his “hairpiece” aka wig. And that those side wings and extra hair he has act as an ANCHOR for his wig to be attached. I literally cannot unsee “the wig” on him now but NOW I have to start looking at the back of his head lmao good catch there Jimbo!
Accountant here working and interacting with multiple current and prospective client leadership members (CFO/VP/ Controller). I was able to perform my tasks, but it kept taking a toll on me when needing to communicate with clients as a sole subject matter expert for my company to clients. I always concerned myself about choosing the exact specific words in order to not say the wrong thing. My smartwatch would track just how intense meetings were for me even though nothing negative was happening. Always been introverted but able to operate within social interactions (also a server/bartender for years). But i was able to mask myself by compartmentalizing my work and being good at whatever work I did. Learning a bit more about Asperger's/Autism, and I'm identifying some traits that potentially put me on the spectrum. I'm thankful for content such as this helping myself and others to understand themselves better
Since i know sam doesn't watch the podcasts back(why would he) in post you should add a bulletin on the wall "0 days since sam said veder" and just dont tell him about it that would be HILARIOUS!
Not gonna lie, hearing Michael McIntyre and Mickey Flanagan mentioned on here made me smile. They'd make some great guests, guys! Real greats of the UK Scene.
I "met" Jim at a bar in Atlanta. My buddies and I walked into "The Pool Hall" at the Buckhead Bars in 2014 and there stands Jim, alone at the bar... 1000 yard stare engaged. BLACKED OUT. Anyhow, I walked up and said "Hey man, sorry to bother you, but I'm a big fan and just wanted to meet you". He looks at me, eyes crossing, barley standing, one arm on the bar holding himself up (he's literally mouth breathing) and says... "You got any blow?" I shook my head and said no. He just sorta grunts and turns back toward the bar. My "I met Jim Jefferies" story That being said: I couldn't be happier for the guy now 👍
So true what Jim said about thinking George Carlin was Rufus, and Richard Pryor was “The Toy” But I had access to one of my dads cassette tapes of a local comic Rude Rude Rodney Rude. I Listened to that so many times growing up.
I could see jim n mark in a buddy comedy where they are ‘enemies’ of some sort. Jim as the ‘straight man’ with some goofs and mark as the ‘party guy’ type just being wild. Then inevitably ending up liking each other
I've had plenty of American and British chocolates, and the chocolate itself basically tastes the same. I got so hyped to try European chocolate after hearing all these Europeans bashing American chocolate, only to find out that there's really not much of a difference. I've even ordered some "nicer" Belgian and French chocolates, and they basically just taste like... chocolate. American chocolate sometimes has a bit of a pukey aftertaste because of that one preservative, but that's pretty much the only difference I noticed (and you only really notice it in the standard Hershey's chocolate bars - those are definitely shitty, to the point where they shouldn't be looked at as the "standard" of American chocolate in the first place). I tried all of the popular British candies, and was underwhelmed by all of them. Granted, pretty much any chocolate is gonna be better than the simple Hershey's chocolate bar, but I try to avoid that one unless it's Halloween or something. Otherwise, our chocolate basically tastes the same as the British chocolate, and our major brands like Snickers and Reese's are wayyy better than any of the popular British chocolate bars.
All the comics siding with Rock are lost in extreme tribalism AND hypocrisy. You want your words to be impactful and edgy and cry when they actually are. There will always be consequences for great disrespect!
@23:18 Jim actually loves to do this. Unsuccessfully goaded a jewish guy to make a joke about a muslim for his TV show to mske him look like an islamaphobe, but it didn't work. Jim then eidted the bits out where HE made the joke. Luckily the other guy had his phone recording and showed the joke online.
Me and my friends attended one of Jim's shows last year in South Carolina. The man performed for almost three hours. Every bit hilarious. It's the longest stand up I've ever seen. Respect to the guy. He's awesome. One of my favorites.
Geoff Nugent aka jim jeffries killed it back in the day on the opie and anthony show and his podcast talkin shit with eddie ifft .. hilarious story's that I don't think he has told anywhere else
They had some awesome guests back then too. I remember hearing Bobby Lee for the first time on there with the whole darker than oprah's nipple thing. Plus heard Miss Pat on there too. What a career she's had!! @@timothywright5369
I love how Jim does multiple great different American accents/impressions, and despite Mark having been to Australia and Sam having been Jim's friend for fifteen years, they just can't help but fucking annihilate Jim's accent every time they do him
Jim is probably the best guest when the hosts are knackered from banking multiple episodes…he does all the entertaining, so the hosts can just relax.
Yeah he's used to podcasting without many guests and carrying the pod. He def showed that talent on this ep. Our boys could barely get a word in

Yea. That "Alchoholocaust" special was great.
I just watched it recently here on UA-cam. He was obviously blitz but hilarious.
As Jim here skilfully explains it's about a balanced drug diet. Alcohol without coke makes you sloppy. And coke without alcohol is like too much coffee. It's when you combine these two that the magic starts to happen :D
🫶🏼
Definitely a formula for fun and regret.
He's a fucking legend. Love his comedy. He's meant to be on this podcast
If he wasn't sober it would've been perfect
He’s absolute garbage. Had a few good jokes and then became the biggest mainstream wimp with the worst opinions and takes on things
ive never seen this guy till today. checking him out later on after this is done. enjoyed this
He's aight.
Till he stopped drinking.
This was the all-time best episode! Jim is brilliant! Sam and Mark looked like they were really having fun.
100 %
We were all having fun.
Great guest Great pod Great stories
His story about his friend with a handicap and brothel is beyond hilarious
one of the best specials i ever watched
His show Legit that depicts it is amazing
Everyone needs to watch Legit. Ita a great great show. Legit and The Riches and The Mick are all really fantastic FX shows!

When Mark laughs genuinely u can tell and this episode you can tell he was dying laughing
Yup, you can hear when he’s laughing from his belly, those are the sincere ones. They’re kinda rare from him on pods
Yup sooo many fake laughs from Mark over the years but he's talked about Jim a bunch so it's clear he's genuinely a fan.

Three of the quickest comedians working today. You can’t go wrong here folks.
Jim is always an amazing guest.
Sam's reaction to JIM'S reaction to the child comedian was so damn funny.
90% of the mean comments on the kids video were from Sam
3 of my favorite people on one pod. I needed this today. Thank you
🤣 😂 😅 Mark "I'm with ya, I like em all" what a Perv Queef 💪🏼 👍🏼 😎
"Kendall is thin and REAL."🤣🤣🤣
Sam needs a podcast where all he talks about is '70s cinema.
That and all generous donations he makes 😂

He really is. He carries the whole episode
Show just started, and they just started talking over Mark !! WTF ?!?!? LET him make his point
My pet peeve
That actually annoyed me so much I turned off after 10 minutes. This guy just hijacked Marks story so hard with something boring
'We'll cut all this'

“People say I got a speech impediment” I thought the movie Sam was based on your life
Jim is a fackin legend!
I can hear Jim talk all day. Great story teller
Alcoholohaust is one of my favourite stand-up specials. I came of age when Jim was over here in the UK doing comedy.
Three solid New York Fours - just kicking it & basking in their comedy 9-ness
