I don't appreciate Dimash vocal very much. He has good control of vocal and high pitch. Extensive marketing make him so popular. Every single song has an end with high notes, when public react to his singing. Without these notes his singing will be average. All his songs are very similar. Not to talk about that sometimes his high tones are very unpleasant. I am fed up of your comments about his singing M. Richard and Mr. Cummings. I started to doubt your musical esthetic qualify.
Thank you once again! This song is one that Dimash sings a lot. He and his Dad wrote it in his teens and when he sings it at concerts, everyone sings along with him. This particular performance is the only one where he does the D8. He said that he did it on the spur of the moment and did not plan to do it. :D He's done other incredibly high notes, but this is the highest that we know of to date. He also sings that high note in his performance with Li Yugang of Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance. Li Yugang is well known in China as a classical Chinese opera singer, where men sing the female parts as well as the male parts. He has a very different style of singing. The performance is a kind of a East meets West sort of thing. I find the two singers' body language very interesting in this one. Li Yugang moves with very formalized gestures and poses, while Dimash's hand gestures look rather as if he is conducting himself.

Yes, but only the first two have pure tone, the latter works with fry. And in both "El Amort en tí" and "Olimpico" the lowest note is "only" a G2. Also, I must admit I prefer Dimash really singing the low notes, while in "Love is Like a Dream" they are more spoken than sung.

I love your analysis, guys. I would add that Dimash has utter respect for every song, the people who stand behind it and the idea it delivers. He's a storyteller, a Stanislavsky actor who lives out every song, every note, every sound. He respects his past, his family, his teachers, his friends and his country! And he's humble about what he's doing. Before everything else he's a wonderful human being and it shows in his art. As for restraint - one of my favorites is Love is Like a Dream - that's his lower range for a more pop sound. Another showcase of lower range is Olimpico for more operatic tone - no restraint there though. Hi guys! I was there!🔥🔥🔥 150,000 spectators on the Old Square of Almaty waited for Dimash's performance for several hours. He came out last and sang 4 or 5 songs. It was September 2019, and it was an UNFORGETTABLE DAY for all of us. With love from Almaty, Kazakhstan ❤
Gakku festival was attended by an audience of 150,000 people in Kazakstan and if you notice Dimash fans from China (and likely Russia, etc.) flew in to see him. Dimash's performance was at the very end of the all day concert by many performers. The crowd waited all day for his 5 songs to close the concert (the entire concert is on the Gakku UA-cam channel). Unforgettable Day was one of the five. Reminds me of the Emmei festival in China where fans waited in the rain and had waited for 10 hrs to see him close the concert. Dimash stood in the rain and sang using a track due to the pouring rain until they literally had to make him quit due to the heavy rain and likely lightening. Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8. A 5 second accident with vibrato😂. Only Dimash can do this. And then he continues as nothing has happened. At 10:38 he misses his intended note, a C7 scoop up to D7. You can see him waving his microphone, as he did when he was a younger performer to prove he was singing live. Except no sound came out. At 10:40 since he missed, he tried again, but the adrenaline or whatever gave him an extra punch and he hit a C8 scoop up to D8 with gosh darn VIBRATO. It’s the highest note EVER performed in a live performance. After this, he really stopped talking about his range. He didn’t want that to be the only thing anyone knew about him. But I must say this, if he can hit a controlled D8, he can sing even higher than that. What an instrument our DQ has.
"Ogni Pietra" or "Olympico" is the song that showcases Dimash's lower range, i think. But who knows where he'll be able to go next. He is a vocal athlete always stretching and always strengthening,

You 2 are my favorite Dimash reactors so far. I had been following him now for almost 4 years, and he always manages to surprise me, make me hold my breath, or put me to tears. As a singer myself, I truly appreciate how 2 professional musicians/ vocalists appreciate his art and break it down into components. I was never a fan of opera until I found him modernize and mix things up. It’s also impressive that he sounds like a musical instrument himself. I have never been a fanatic of any artist in my 40+ years until I came across Dimash. For lower tones/ notes, Olimpico in Italian or El Amor en ti in Spanish comes to mind.
El Amore En Ti at Dimash’s Almaty concert 2022 (premier performance) has gorgeous low notes ( and high!). It’s another song composed by Dimash. Some of his Spanish speaking ‘dears’ (fans) wrote the lyrics for him. He performed it directly after the live version of The Story of One Sky that you reacted to.
In terms of range, you've got it pretty covered. You've listened Dimash's full voiced E2 to his D8. However, in my opinion you should listen to "Sinful Passion" (the Sochi performance on 2018, where he premiered the song's cover), because I think in this particular song Dimash is giving us the most impressive 25 seconds that have ever been performed in singing. You will also hear his mixed belt on something higher than his "usual" F#5. And not only that, but I don't want to spoil it.

One of my greatest joys is watching reactions to Dimash. Because even if you think you know what to expect - you don't lol. I think just about every song he does, he adds something unique that is different than his others. He totally invests his heart and soul in his work. He doesn't just sing songs, he becomes the song. This was a very enjoyable reaction. According to some analysts, Dimash's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. Dimash is said to have "absolute pitch," often called “perfect pitch,” the ability to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone; i.e. the ability to hit any note with perfect pitch without any reference or lead in. Dimash wrote "Unforgettable Day" himself when he was still a teenager. This was at the annual Gakku TV open-air concert, with approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Gakku TV is the first music channel in Kazakhstan that exclusively airs content produced in Kazakhstan, promoting Kazakh music, culture, and patriotism. During this 2017 live performance, Dimash made sure to erase any doubt that this was anything other than a true live performance by moving his mic quickly from side to side as he sang. Dimash set a record for the highest note ever sung in a live concert when he produced his now-famous D8. He not only hit a D8 but also did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it. It was a spontaneous attempt because he missed the slightly lower note he had initially aimed for immediately prior when he was shaking the mic from side to side. Although, there are still the occasional trolls who claim that the note was pre-recorded or that it was an electronic glitch. Dimash is truly on another level. His voice seems limitless, and no matter how many performances of his you watch, he will always surprise you with something new. The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest vocal note ever produced by a male as an F8 (F#8, 5989 Hz), achieved by Amirhossein Molaei (Iran) in Tehran, Iran, on 31 July 2019. That was done in a studio, where the singer was just trying to hit the note and had been working on his whistle register for years to prepare for this attempt. He held the note briefly after a proper warm-up and several attempts.
I think for more low range I recommend Stranger or Amor En Ti. If you’re looking to be super surprised one more time by Dimash, I recommend checking out Be With Me or Screaming Idol Hits live performance. I can almost guarantee that there will be a part in one of those that you won’t see coming.

That was a D8! He wrote this song when he was a teenager, about a girl he saw in a crowd and never got to meet. There were 150,000 people at this concert and Dimash donated the proceeds to charity. Dimash entered music college when he was 5 years old in order to train his vocal cords. He holds several master's degrees in music. His dad is a very popular singer in Asia and his mother is an accomplished opera singer.

I would recommend Omir, one of his latest songs where he wrote both music and lyrics and stays mostly within that lower range. Unfortunately there's no live performance yet but there's no huge storyline to the music video either. It's an autobiographical work picturing Dimash's journey so far and is his love song to life.

I read Dimash was 17 when he wrote this music, the casual stand, the arms across the chest ( which singers are taught never to do, the kneeling down while singing) he can do it all so easily, never misses a beat. Normally, in this song, he uses the 7th octave (the whistle), but because he couldn't make a sound the first time, he unusually jumped into the eighth octave. Every performance is a special delivery to each one’s soul… apart from what you’ve already heard from him and strictly musically speaking, I think that Olympico, diva dance (from the movie the fifth element) and ave Maria show more his classical training, sinful passion most of his registers, daybreak (bastau version)- I couldn’t stop crying when I first heard it especially knowing the back story) and ikanaide the emotion… and soooo many other songs…… Thank you so much for your reactions…Really love them … your comments always to them point… for sure you know what you’re talking about. Oh this did not disappoint. I have watched so many vocal coaches react to the D8 and it never gets old. (And to answer Johnny, yes, that is his top end.) As for his lower end, the first thing that comes to my mind is Olimpico. Composed by Igor Krutoy specifically for Dimash's voice and range, it has some fun acrobatics and spans three and half to four octaves iirc. And speaking of acrobatics, Dimash doing Diva Dance, especially recently, is the definition of vocal acrobatics. He's starting adding the whistle to it the last few years.
If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (which he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, singing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see it several times by adjusting the headphones) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to do what he would like (Perhaps the interference of the audience or the inaccurate response of the sound, a fact that impaired his concentration), he then issued this wonderful and historic C#8 modulated to D8, with vibrato! In a more technical analysis, we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Still, it's a demo of technique! He must have instantly thought, "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'll improvise!" So he emitted the inconceivable, supernatural D8 (4698.64 Hz)! Of course, this is a joke to me, but it makes one wonder: What is Dimash's limit?

I don't appreciate Dimash vocal very much. He has good control of vocal and high pitch. Extensive marketing make him so popular. Every single song has an end with high notes, when public react to his singing. Without these notes his singing will be average. All his songs are very similar. Thank you once again! This song is one that Dimash sings a lot. He and his Dad wrote it in his teens and when he sings it at concerts, everyone sings along with him. This particular performance is the only one where he does the D8. He said that he did it on the spur of the moment and did not plan to do it. :D He's done other incredibly high notes, but this is the highest that we know of to date. Li Yugang is well known in China as a classical Chinese opera singer, where men sing the female parts as well as the male parts. He has a very different style of singing. The performance is a kind of a East meets West sort of thing. I find the two singers' body language very interesting in this one. Li Yugang moves with very formalized gestures and poses, while Dimash's hand gestures look rather as if he is conducting himself.
I'm generally a cold-hearted old bitch, but this performance and Ikanaide just make my heart ache.

Yes, but only the first two have pure tone, the latter works with fry. And in both "El Amort en tí" and "Olimpico" the lowest note is "only" a G2. Also, I must admit I prefer Dimash really singing the low notes, while in "Love is Like a Dream" they are more spoken than sung.

I love your analysis, guys. I would add that Dimash has utter respect for every song, the people who stand behind it and the idea it delivers. He's a storyteller, a Stanislavsky actor who lives out every song, every note, every sound.
He respects his past, his family, his teachers, his friends and his country! And he's humble about what he's doing. Before everything else he's a wonderful human being and it shows in his art.
As for restraint - one of my favorites is Love is Like a Dream - that's his lower range for a more pop sound. Another showcase of lower range is Olimpico for more operatic tone - no restraint there though.

Hi guys! I was there!🔥🔥🔥 150,000 spectators on the Old Square of Almaty waited for Dimash's performance for several hours. He came out last and sang 4 or 5 songs. It was September 2019, and it was an UNFORGETTABLE DAY for all of us. With love from Almaty, Kazakhstan ❤
Gakku festival was attended by an audience of 150,000 people in Kazakstan and if you notice Dimash fans from China (and likely Russia, etc.) flew in to see him. Dimash's performance was at the very end of the all day concert by many performers. The crowd waited all day for his 5 songs to close the concert (the entire concert is on the Gakku UA-cam channel). Unforgettable Day was one of the five. Reminds me of the Emmei festival in China where fans waited in the rain and had waited for 10 hrs to see him close the concert. Dimash stood in the rain and sang using a track due to the pouring rain until they literally had to make him quit due to the heavy rain and likely lightening.

I don't know if the two of you are aware of this, Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old. If you would be so kind, listen to the performance of this song when he sang it on The Singer 2017. On that show, he seemed to put so much power into it, and the orchestra and the backup singers made it seem so epic...to me. Also, when he sings All By Myself from the same show. Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8.
A 5 second accident with vibrato😂. Only Dimash can do this. And then he continues as nothing has happened.
Some joke that he actually sang a higher note, but realized that we earthlings can’t hear notes that high, so he “only” sang the D8😉.

At 10:38 he misses his intended note, a C7 scoop up to D7. You can see him waving his microphone, as he did when he was a younger performer to prove he was singing live. Except no sound came out. At 10:40 since he missed, he tried again, but the adrenaline or whatever gave him an extra punch and he hit a C8 scoop up to D8 with gosh darn VIBRATO. It’s the highest note EVER performed in a live performance. After this, he really stopped talking about his range. He didn’t want that to be the only thing anyone knew about him. But I must say this, if he can hit a controlled D8, he can sing even higher than that. What an instrument our DQ has.
"Ogni Pietra" or "Olympico" is the song that showcases Dimash's lower range, i think. But who knows where he'll be able to go next. He is a vocal athlete always stretching and always strengthening,

As a singer myself, I truly appreciate how 2 professional musicians/ vocalists appreciate his art and break it down into components. I was never a fan of opera until I found him modernize and mix things up. It’s also impressive that he sounds like a musical instrument himself. I have never been a fanatic of any artist in my 40+ years until I came across Dimash. For lower tones/ notes, Olimpico in Italian or El Amor en ti in Spanish comes to mind.
El Amore En Ti at Dimash’s Almaty concert 2022 (premier performance) has gorgeous low notes ( and high!). It’s another song composed by Dimash. Some of his Spanish speaking ‘dears’ (fans) wrote the lyrics for him. He performed it directly after the live version of The Story of One Sky that you reacted to.
In terms of range, you've got it pretty covered. You've listened Dimash's full voiced E2 to his D8. However, in my opinion you should listen to "Sinful Passion" (the Sochi performance on 2018, where he premiered the song's cover), because I think in this particular song Dimash is giving us the most impressive 25 seconds that have ever been performed in singing. You will also hear his mixed belt on something higher than his "usual" F#5. And not only that, but I don't want to spoil it.
You might wish to hear a new version of the Ave Maria composed by Igor Krutoy, and sung as a vocalise by Dimash. Pretty amazing.
This IS stunningly beautiful - breathtaking...but you won't hear ANY low registers here as you asked for. Still it's NOT to be missed. It's an Igor composition made at Dimash's request...this uber dynamic duo creates spectacularly..for our enjoyment and I might add, our edification. I absolutely ❤ you two! PLEASE keep a place for viewing Dimash's artistry. Many expert coaches have done a few. Then they stop🥴

Dimash also sang the National Anthem of Kazakhstan in Las Vegas at the opening for the fights in which one of his countrymen was a contestant. Twitter went crazy after it! One man said that Dimash stole the whole show, calling him "that dude"!!😂 🎤💥💫💪🤯🔥 The cat couldn't believe it!🙀 So many others come to mind but these give you a deeper look at the heart of who he is. 💛

One of my greatest joys is watching reactions to Dimash. Because even if you think you know what to expect - you don't lol. I think just about every song he does, he adds something unique that is different than his others. He totally invests his heart and soul in his work. He doesn't just sing songs, he becomes the song. This was a very enjoyable reaction. According to some analysts, Dimash's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. Dimash is said to have "absolute pitch," often called “perfect pitch,” the ability to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone; i.e. the ability to hit any note with perfect pitch without any reference or lead in. Dimash wrote "Unforgettable Day" himself when he was still a teenager. This was at the annual Gakku TV open-air concert, with approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Gakku TV is the first music channel in Kazakhstan that exclusively airs content produced in Kazakhstan, promoting Kazakh music, culture, and patriotism.
During this 2017 live performance, Dimash made sure to erase any doubt that this was anything other than a true live performance by moving his mic quickly from side to side as he sang. Dimash set a record for the highest note ever sung in a live concert when he produced his now-famous D8. He not only hit a D8 but also did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it.
It was a spontaneous attempt because he missed the slightly lower note he had initially aimed for immediately prior when he was shaking the mic from side to side. Although, there are still the occasional trolls who claim that the note was pre-recorded or that it was an electronic glitch. Dimash is truly on another level. His voice seems limitless, and no matter how many performances of his you watch, he will always surprise you with something new.
The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest vocal note ever produced by a male as an F8 (F#8, 5989 Hz), achieved by Amirhossein Molaei (Iran) in Tehran, Iran, on 31 July 2019. That was done in a studio, where the singer was just trying to hit the note and had been working on his whistle register for years to prepare for this attempt. He held the note briefly after a proper warm-up and several attempts.
I think for more low range I recommend Stranger or Amor En Ti. If you’re looking to be super surprised one more time by Dimash, I recommend checking out Be With Me or Screaming Idol Hits live performance. I can almost guarantee that there will be a part in one of those that you won’t see coming.
And Ave Maria by Dimash has another vocal technique at the end that I think you’ll find cool.

I would recommend Omir, one of his latest songs where he wrote both music and lyrics and stays mostly within that lower range. Unfortunately there's no live performance yet but there's no huge storyline to the music video either.
It's an autobiographical work picturing Dimash's journey so far and is his love song to life.

Yes that was Mr. 7 octaves Dimash who made that sound, that D8 registered at a frequency of 4698.63hz. It's believed that Dimash was communicating with dolphins during that performance.

I read Dimash was 17 when he wrote this music, the casual stand, the arms across the chest ( which singers are taught never to do, the kneeling down while singing) he can do it all so easily, never misses a beat. The expert coaches and teachers were all debating if its a D8 or D9 he hits. As you will have noticed, Dimash doesn't sing the ordinary song, it always seems to have a bit of special in it. We call it, "Dimashed" Dimash gets the best out of every note, his expertise with his mic technique is yet another area he is very good. He does his own panning effect, its fade in and out. He never overly sings any song, he gives it exactly what he feels it needs.
Even in a cover, he will sing the first part similar in respect to the original artist, then he will Dimashify the rest. He has also done movie covers - GO GO power rangers etc It must be hard for him as an artist to sing within the limits of a song written for another artist with their own limitations. Dimash was the reason Igor Krutoy (Billionaire Ukrainian-Russian musical composer) came out of retirement because he knew with an artist such as Dimash, there was no limits to his writing.
So there are a few which Dimash uses his lower range more.

Search for the MV, there is no live version for this song yet because the song is supposed to be his personal gift to his Dears which he released on his birthday this year. The song is like a thank you- song that reflects his journey as a musician ever since he started up to where he is standing nowadays, also reveals his feelings, his hopes and his fear as well...read the lyrics first and you will understand what he is saying because the song is in his native language, Kazakhstan. Great reaction, and it was fun. No one knows how high he can go.. Normally, in this song, he uses the 7th octave (the whistle), but because he couldn't make a sound the first time, he unusually jumped into the eighth octave. It's the only time we've heard him that hi . When he was younger (small), he used this register more often. Thank God he refrains now. We know it's not very healthy ( for example , Mariah Carey). Dimash is very careful about his voice, and there is a reason 😍 . For the next reaction, I suggest "Daybreak" from the concert Bastau, Kazakhstan 2017 + "Diva Dance" from the same concert. From my prospective, the most interesting songs are: "El Amor En Ti" (great show, modern opera + funk), "Ikanaide" (vocal perfection), and "Know" from "New Wave 2019" event
Every performance is a special delivery to each one’s soul… apart from what you’ve already heard from him and strictly musically speaking, I think that Olympico, diva dance (from the movie the fifth element) and ave Maria show more his classical training, sinful passion most of his registers, daybreak (bastau version)- I couldn’t stop crying when I first heard it especially knowing the back story) and ikanaide the emotion… and soooo many other songs……

Oh this did not disappoint. I have watched so many vocal coaches react to the D8 and it never gets old. (And to answer Johnny, yes, that is his top end.) As for his lower end, the first thing that comes to my mind is Olimpico. Composed by Igor Krutoy specifically for Dimash's voice and range, it has some fun acrobatics and spans three and half to four octaves iirc. And speaking of acrobatics, Dimash doing Diva Dance, especially recently, is the definition of vocal acrobatics. He's starting adding the whistle to it the last few years.
It’s the top end that WE know of, same for his low notes. Only Dimash knows his limits.

If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (which he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, singing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see it several times by adjusting the headphones) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to do what he would like (Perhaps the interference of the audience or the inaccurate response of the sound, a fact that impaired his concentration), he then issued this wonderful and historic C#8 modulated to D8, with vibrato! In a more technical analysis, we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Still, it's a demo of technique! He must have instantly thought, "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'll improvise!" So he emitted the inconceivable, supernatural D8 (4698.64 Hz)! Of course, this is a joke to me, but it makes one wonder: What is Dimash's limit?
