I had issues with my Whirlpool AMW 5100 which I've had since 2005. Would not go through whole cycle and would not spin after rinse cycle. To fix the issue I did the following steps: 1. I tipped the machine to the side to access bottom. 2. I pulled the hose from the bottom and blew through the hose- lots of residue came out the other side of the hose- silt, hair, and clothes tag. 3. I squeezed the plastic pump part- this also appeared to be clogged. 4. I tipped the machine upright again and put it through the rinse cycle without clothes. 5. Machine now works perfectly- went through the rinse cycle and spin cycles and drained like it was brand new again! Lots of filth drained out so the the pump was clogged. I was going to throw the machine out as it's very expensive to get them repaired by professionals. Hopefully this works for you if you're having the same issues. Good luck, hope this helps.
Is this the same procedure as for checking the main engine? Mine is only wotking on D right now and that's just causing it to run the pump off nothing else anymore although the clock switch seems to work with changing programs
