Hi, please are you able to show how to install the new aap version 2.5 on RHEL9? I have poured through so many videos, but none explictly addresses the changes in the inventory file which is quite confusing. I have also researched redhat doc but I dont see any docs there that addresses the new changes in the 2.5. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Is an automation gateway node and event driven node now required for all 2.5 installs? I am comparing inv files between both, and my 2.4 only has controller, execution, and hub nodes. Looks really awesome though, I am excited!
We're glad you're excited - and good catch. The automation gateway node and event-driven node will be required for 2.5 installs in order to get access to the unified UI features highlighted in the video. Information regarding the upgrade path from 2.4 will be published in the coming month. Stay tuned!
@@AnsibleAutomation well, the collection will have its downstream name ansible.ah, but the infra collection is not being renamed. At least not according to the post you've shared. I quote Roles and other playbooks from the infra.ah_configuration collection will remain community-supported and stay in infra.ah_configuration collection.
@@JakubVeverka-v2z You are right, it was super confusing! Just had Emily Bock (Product Manager for Automation hub) add some clarity to the forum post. Try refreshing now.
The hand waves are great! 😀

Excellent overview
Fantastic summary!
A bit unintentionally funny at times but still informative. When will the migration procedure from v. 2.4 be available ?
targeting the next release, before mid-November, we have a timer on the wall :)
@@AnsibleAutomation Any update on the migration procedure to v2.5? Can't wait! :)
Very informative session

would be great if aap can be the center of automation and the AIO tool with a git built-in.
Can we upgrade from 2.4 or still upgrade not available?

Hi, ad infra.hub_configuration . Is it a typo, or new version of ah_configuration?
btw hub_configuration would be a much better name for it...
Yes it is changing names, check out this forum post: forum.ansible.com/t/promoting-infra-ah-configuration-to-certified-collection-ansible-ah/8276
