I'm not even much of a baseball fan (outside of watching game in person once a year), but this was a wonderful movie. Much respect to Billy Beane and the A's. What a season!
I read different people's reactions to this song. What it makes people feel like. What kind of reality this song portrays. It's seems to affect people differently. For me, I imagine this song playing at a point when you are in the middle of something and too far in to quit, but so far away from being finished. It's a song of struggle and passion.
I think people project some of their reality onto this song. Whatever you are dealing with, whatever is in the back or front of your mind is what this great piece of music fits with.
Well said! Most people only see the public performance or public part of success...what they don't realize is there is a lot hard work behind the scenes - late nights, early mornings, failures and setbacks. Keep grinding and never give up!
I don't even know what this pieces makes me feel. It certainly doesn't make me think of baseball or grinding out all the way to better days trusting the process. It's very strange.....there's a twinge of sadness in it........like something unreachable. Maybe an unreachable potential...potentiality...possibility....scenario, or dream. It's right here...but it will never really come to be....or it already happened but it is now stuck in the past.

Perfectly said. Glad there are people like you who derive joy from this great music.

Anyone else listen to this when they feel down or motivated?

Is it just me or does this have Ryuichi Sakamoto vibes?
From what little I know of Sakamoto, I don't hear it.
Did he do Babel?

Yea totally feeling that vibe, just checked you're 100% imo.
