South Carolina Head Coach Shane Beamer met with members of the media following Tuesday's practice, as the Gamecocks prepare for Saturday's home matchup with #12 Ole Miss
I hope you can keep it going. As a fan, i want to win. As a human i hate to watch you get criticized when you're doing a really goid job. You were a solid hire. This is year 4 and we have a really good team. Love the honesty.
I am def rooting for Beamer to turn things around, but hard to agree with "good job" with a 5-7 record last year and especially how the team played vs. Florida and Clemson last year. I don't think it was a "Solid Hire," and I don't think I would get a lot of pushback for saying that outside of Columbia. I think it was a "Gutsy Hire" that I hope pays off and it looked like it was the first two years, but then last year happened. Now, he had Carolina ready vs LSU and we should have won that game, if he does the same thing vs. Ole Miss and Oklahoma (we won't beat Alabama under any circumstance) and can keep us competitive and win one of those games, then you will hear a lot of the naysayers start to quiet down. I am just being real, I want to get on board the Beamer Bus, but I got see some changes first. However, if we leave Norman, OK a 4-3 football team going into our 2nd Bye week, and played competitive football throughout, then I like our chances for the remainder of the year and I will like Beamer a lot more.
@steveaustin3125 I'm not going to address all that. He wasn't on my list but it's only year 4 and right now we are 3-1 and should be 4-0. He's a great face for SC a great representative. It's getting the right assistants that's critical.
@@steveaustin3125it was a awesome hire anyone who thinks otherwise is just stupid. Look at what he has done compared to anyone else in their first four years. The quality of players we have now hasn’t been seen since the Spurrier years. Not to mention he loves the Gamecocks because he is a Gamecock born a Sc native. I can’t wait till he proves people like you wrong
I am thankful coach Beamer is our football coach. I have been a USC contractor for some time now. Not only has the skill gotten better, but the culture also. Not only the culture around the football team, but all of the university athletics. So thank you Coach B.
Make no mistake about it. Kentucky DID give us a blue print on how to slow down the game against Ol’ Miss and take them out of their identity in a sense. It would be asinine to not attack from the same stand point. Let’s Go Gamecocks
So he is still not committing to the fact that Sellers and Sanders will start Saturday. Notice how he chose he words. That's not good. I was encouraged to see Kentucky beat them in Oxford, but if either Sellers or Sanders are not at least 80-90% on Saturday, I doubt we will win. Vegas still has us as 9 point underdogs, they may know something about their health we do not. Otherwise, after the disappointing loss Ole Miss had vs UK why wouldn't this game be closer to a pick 'em, especially since it is at WillyB, and Carolina's coming off a Bye. I did think this was going to be a blowout for Ole Miss at the beginning of the season, but a lot has happened over the past 2-3 weeks. This shouldn't be such a large spread in favor of Ole Miss, unless there's a lot more going on with Sellers and/or Sanders that isn't being told to the public.
@@jonstrickland4848 I do Jon, but that is tomorrow and I am talking about what we know right now. And even when it comes out they could be listed probable and still not be anywhere close to 100% on Saturday. I assume you are not so naive as to think that report tells you the 100% truth as to the reality of what the injury situation will be on Saturday, if for no other reason the coaches can’t be 100% certain themselves. However, There is still some insider info, albeit maybe not as bad with this report, and Vegas has people who know a lot more of the truth than the avg fan.
@@jonstrickland4848 I am aware Jon, but my point was yesterday when we did not know what the report would say they had Ole Miss as 9 pt favorites, and that didn't make sense with everything we knew at the time on the surface. I don't know what time the report comes out today, but my guess is they will both come out as probable, but even that doesn't tell the whole story, because they may even start Saturday, but if they are not close to 100% we can't expect sufficient enough production to be competitive. That was my point, there were some people who know things that Beamer isn't telling the public. It is also possible that Beamer plans on suiting them both up on Saturday to give Ole Miss something else to gameplan for, but knows that they will not be effective Saturday, and will secretly adjust our gameplan accordingly, but they are technically not out for injury or doubtful so you don't have to put it on the report.
Ole Miss absolutely cannot lose or the wheels come off completely - they’re the more desperate team with the better QB - give me ole miss to win and cover
Going to the gamecocks game this weekend let’s go coach beamer ur the best coach since spurrier such a great team this year

I'm fully confident that we'll win Saturday. 👊💯👊
Ole Miss has great stats on defense because they’ve only played 1 decent team
Win it for all of us

I'll assume you're unaware about the mandatory injury report to the public now. You'll know Wednesday.

This is a bad matchup for yall imho - I like OM and the points bouncing back and playing with more urgency this week
