I find it incredible, as a musician, that I couldn't understand a word they were saying, but I could still hear the music. Music is the same in every language.
Loved Jane Zhang in the red dress, beautiful and spectacular vocals as always.

This was so profoundly beautiful. The entire piece was absolutely excellent. I loved the blending of cultures throughout the performances. The music and special effects were incredibly exquisite. What I love most about this is just the realization that we are not defined by our barriers. We are not defined by our governments or religions or cultures or races. We are all one, and it is when we come together, despite any differences, that we can all make something truly magical in this world. I believe that’s what this golden castle represents. It’s a shining beacon of hope for the entire world to see. Disney encourages us to pursue our dreams together, no matter how large or small they appear to be.
And lastly, in the words of Walt Disney, “The things we have in common far outnumber and outweigh those that divide us.”

couldn't understand ANYTHING they said but it is amazing to see this place finally finished and finally opening. I actually didn't think they would ever finish building it let alone see an opening day :) wish I could see that castle for myself though :)

Some subtitles would have helped.....but the UA-cam ones were hilarious as always.
The opening ceremony was narrated in English on American tv. You might find it on a Disney sponsored network.
I don't care for what people say, I'm glad Disney is still expanding! Some people say "you need to change the ones in America" what they don't get is that is the original concept that Walt wanted, why change it just because you see more advanced rides and technology in other Disney parks. You have to think of when the originals ( the ones in America) and the newer ones (basically everywhere else).

Well yes, but he also was all about keeping up with the times. He even said himself Disneyland will never be 'finished' it will be evolving and the US parks def need to reflect this too. I'm. It saying to change what still completely works and guests still love, but do change what NEEDS it. Something in the parks in the US need it.
Sometimes it's ok to leave things as is, though. I don't think every single ride needs to be updated, but I do think that new rides and attractions should be the latest and greatest in both technology and delivery. Little enhancements here and there are definitely necessary to keep things fresh but Disney parks are all about stories, and in my opinion if you completely change the ride to something that it wasn't before, then you are changing its story.
Except the one Disney almost made it thier park years after the first Disneyland opened, but it's no longer exists in Nara, Japan.
My absolute favorite part was the choir. It's great at how singing together can make music sound heavenly.

I went there last week! It was an awesome experience having the Chinese elements part of the entire park! I would say that this is the BEST DISNEYLAND in ASIA! I wish we can just bring everyone and share the experience in this "Happiest Place on Earth!"
Love the part with Mickey and the two string players. Its supposed to represent the young (the girl), young at heart (the man), and eternity (Mickey). I'm also liking the new face for Mickey, at first I was a bit sketchy of it but I like it now! More cartoonish and animated. Welcome to the family Shanghai Disneyland!

Loved the fireworks.
Went there and yes I really enjoyed it!! Tickets are of course way too expensive (but not compared to the US parks) and so is everything in the park... but it was very fun.
PLEASE DISNEYLAND ITALY. My parents went to Italy last year and were missing all that Disney magic from Disney World, the first place on Earth that I ever vacationed to.

YES! I want that attraction too! It'll be a dark ride retelling of Disney's live-action remake of their animated classic Cinderella and I also want dark rides based on the Maleficent movie, Disney and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland films, Disney's 2016 live-action remake of their animated classic The Jungle Book and other films like The Lion King!

The Cinderella dark ride will but guests in their own pumpkin coach and ride through the story of the live-action remake of the Disney animated classic as they witness the story unfold and Ella's damaged dress get turned into a beautiful ballgown by the Fairy Godmother's spell along with a pumpkin being turned into a coach for the ball!

Not only those films, but also a dark boat ride attraction based on Disney's new animated movie Moana called Moana's Seafaring Voyage which is a retelling of the story of the new film!

Seriously though, I'm sad I missed it. I was Disneyland Paris Opening Crew and I was at the Disneyland Hong Kong Grand Opening. I had hotel booked for Shanghai to be there but last minutes things prevented me from doing it. Sadly.
