I enjoyed watching this! Whenever I have sunscreens that I don’t love, they are demoted to hand creams. At least my hands will be protected throughout the day!
@@SkinObsessedMary Hope the tip works out for you :) I actually haven't tried it with tinted sunscreen -- I'm afraid to get it on my clothes or purse! Tinted sunscreen generally looks awful with my skin tone, so I avoid it haha
Great review. The Undefined is a favorite of mine here in the US. I’m going to try the Hello Sunday on your recommendation. Cult beauty has it and there are a few discount codes. I also really enjoy the Ultra Violette sun screens that I can only purchase when I go to the UK. Have you tried theirs? I am currently using the Allies of Skin eye cream on your recommendation and really like it! Thanks Mary.
Yay - I'm so glad you like the AOS! I'm totally hooked :) I picked up a small trio of Ultra Violette sunscreens a year or so ago....1 I liked, 1 I didn't and I forgot about the third. I may have to try again. Which is your favourite?
the Skin1004 sunscreen is my go to right now. so lovely and hydrating on my skin, actually melts into my skin and after half an hour it feels like i have nothing on my skin at all. for reapplication i use the Skin Aqua UV super moisture gel, so easy to spread and light.
Thanks Mary - helpful as always! I always pay attention to SPF and look for broad spectrum, but lately I have also heard about a new rating plus? Plus plus, plus plus plus? What do these mean and how does it differ from SPF rating? I have also seen most sunscreens do not even have the plus rating on their packaging, so I don’t know if they are giving the proper coverage. Perhaps something to talk about in a future SPF video? Have a great day! 🇨🇦😊
That's a very good point! Broad spectrum means it provides protection against both UVB and UVA. The pluses are most commonly used in Japan and Korea is a to indicate levels of protection from UVA. So the more pluses the better!
Hi, Mary...so glad you are promoting sunscreen! For whatever it's worth, I just retired as a professional gardener and have a drawer full of SPF. I live in Colorado, where the sun can be quite intense. The 3 most dependable sunscreens for me are ISDIN, Skinceuticals and Supergoop. Those got me thru a full day gardening for years, where most others failed. SPF is critical...I know many folks in my industry that have been treated for skin cancer.
You're the 2nd person to suggest ISDIN so maybe I need to have a look. Supergoop wasn't a hit for me (can't remember which one) but maybe I need to try again. And of course, Skinceuticals can do no wrong!
@Skin Obsessed Mary I consider myself an end user expert. I professionally gardened for 15 years, spending 6,7, 8 hours out in the Colorado sun and was continually shocked at how ineffective alot of popular sunscreens were, even reapplying after a couple of hours. I'm also a skier and snowshoer during the winter. ISDIN is the real deal and works beautifully under makeup. It appears expensive at first, but I buy it at 20% off...it's 3.4 oz, so the cost is actually pretty fair. I love Supergoop Play for the body...love, love the founder's story and she resides in AZ. It gives my body excellent protection. All of my favs are water resistant, too. Just my 2 cents and loads of experience.
Hi Mary, so happy I found your site and I’ve learned so much. I’ve been using Jan Marini SPF33 broad spectrum for years - expensive but seems to have really worked for me. I am looking at trying the Skin 1004 Centrella but see it is only UVA and does not have UVB. Didn’t you say both are important? I recommend you try Jan Marini so I can see what you think. Thanks so much. Karin in DRY and sunny New Mexico
Thank you so much for the kind words 😊 Skin1004 it wonderful and it does contain zinc oxide which gives broad spectrum protection - so you're covered! In fact I just filmed an empties video and that's in there. I'm definitely going to repurchase!
Love this video. A bit obsessed with SPF. Really like the Hello Sunday serum one. Great price and Dunnes Stores stock it. A bit more spenny but really like the Aussie brand Ultra Violette available at Space NK. Another good range is French brand SVR. They do a lovely SPF 50 in a mousse like formula which is so nice.
Didn't know they have in Dunnes...score! I tried a few by Ultra Violette (1 was great, 2 were so-so). Ooh need to look to SVR. Hopefully in Paris in a few months so perhaps I'll stock up!
Hey Mary! I came across your channel a few weeks ago and have been binge watching ever since. Love your content and have been enjoying vicariously living through you in trying out new products. If you haven't tried out the Trader Joe's Daily Facial SPF 40 Sunscreen yet, I'd absolutely recommend it. Invisible so no cast, feels like silk, and hard to beat at $9. Mentioning it now in case you're in the States and still have room in your luggage for one more product. 😉
Hi Mary, I am also based in Ireland and tried to purchase the Evy Technology sunscreen from Cult Beauty but the item was not permitted in my bag as they could not ship it to Ireland (could be the aerosol form of the sunscreen). Was wondering how you managed to get it? Thanks. Alice
Hi Alice, I'm always so excited to chat with someone from Ireland (there are very few us on my channel 😂 )! Just checked my receipt and I did purchase from Cult Beauty but I used my mail forwarding address from An Post (Address Pal). I use it occasionally for brands that won't ship to Ireland. I have 1 address for the UK (€5 per shipment) and 1 for the US (€15 per). It definitely adds to the cost though 😖 But I understand they're Swedish, so there must be a way to purchase from the website (which I'll do next time). Maybe worth a try? I think it's evytechnology.com

I did get the Heliocare (in fact it was in last year's video) and it was a bit too drying for my skin. I loved the feel and finish (and I tried to use it over and over) but ended up giving it to my daughter..
Lovely video thank you for sharing!! I have been looking at the Skinn1004 one for a while, im going to go ahead and pull the trigger on it and give it a whirl. Great stuff Mary! Thanks for testing these out for us ❤One that I'm really enjoying right now is the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen. She's pricey ($38 for 50 ml) but I love her!
