FYI , I don’t know if this is what they did but , you can take Fabulouso cleaner , spray it on the canvas and saturate it , then just let it dry and it will kill mold and bleach out the stain but leaving the color of the fabric and smelling like lilacs after it dries , plus mold won’t come back for a long time
I’m not sure what they do actually but they all look good as new 👍

Don’t know if you can afford it or installed it your house but spray foam will keep you cool in summer and warm in your short winter.

Looks great there Ryan! Yeah, I know what you mean with the tackiness! I think it's like that anywhere in Thailand when they try to recreate other cultures. And they don't need to, do they? With the amazing, wonderful culture they possess. But the place you guys are staying at there looks beautiful
I've been t o Kaho Yai but I stayed in a really simple Guesthouse, this was in 2003. It seems to have become, as you say, quite Tacky

mold is prevented by the air conditioner that is installed in the tent. And try to check your oil level about every 500 kilometers. Love this new style

I agree with your comments on "tacky". Hell. if I had big money what I would want to do is build along the traditional Thai architecture. Model something like the Jim Thompson house. I know that's a pipe dream for many reasons, but that's what I'd shoot for.

When I went to China about 12 years ago, I came across a whole pseudo-English Tudor timbered town in the middle of nowhere! Absolutely terrible! Having lived in a 16th century timbered house in Lavenham, Suffolk I was appalled . Enjoy the rest of your trip with Otis who is so excited about everything! God bless 🙏😃

You really need to learn more about growing your own food mate. Basically, you need to build your soil and it will take care of your plants.
Permaculture is the way to go for long term sustainability. Grow things that are easy to start. Get your marum trees started. They’re easy and the most nutritious food on the planet.
