How to go about the bolt driver’s app as a New Driver in Ghana

- After sharing my experiences being a bolt driver for a while, I have had a couple of people ask me how to go about the Bolt Driver’s App as a new driver so in today’s video, I’m sharing on what to know as a new bolt driver, how to go about the app as well as some tips to implement to make the best out of the bolt ride-hailing service.
This tip involves, how to navigate the Bolt driver’s app, how set the default map to use, how to make payment to bolt for their commission, how to see your activity rate, where to see campaigns offered by bolt, how to set destinations when heading towards a particular place among others.

I am having issue with the sound notifications. So I keep missing trips No problem at all with other apps. Bolt customer service could not find any issues with my app. Please, any advice?
You simply have to check the settings with your phone. This could be that notifications have either been turned off or you have to edit your sound profile and increase the volume
This wil have to do with the settings on your phone. Maybe you can uninstall the app and reinstall to see if that fixes it

How safe is it.

Drivers have a role to play in their own safety.
Please how does bolt collect their commission is it on a daily basis or weekly and is it always 20percent
Yes, it is always 20% and the driver is responsible for paying it to them through the app, using mobile money or a credit card
@@IshmealLamptey so they don't just take it from your interface ? And should it be weekly or daily
They dont have access to the funds since most trips are cash trips, that is why the driver would have to pay mostly by the end lf the day. When your commission accumulates to more than 50 cedis, you'll be blocked from getting new requests, sp you always have to check and may payments before it reaches the limit

I don't think you have to worry about calculations, the app has details of all that

While im driving with a client i get a new request from another client and what to do after i accept is unclear to me, i really dont want to test how everything works with real people, i was hoping to see how that stuff works
So this happens when you're almost at the destination of the client you're carrying. A new request is sent to you when you're about ending the trip and you choose to accept or not. However, if you don't accept incoming trip, it affects your activity on the platform. If you wish not to accept new requests when driving a passenger, there's an option to turn new requests off. I hope this helps
Do I have to know every location before being a driver
You can't know every location as a driver. You learn more locations when you drive
please i have registered for it but i dont have a car but i heard bolt can give u a car but how much are u going to pay for it

In my case i had to wait for about a week. If you don't want to wait, you can go to their office. I didn't have to do inspection during my time, I don't know the situation now

You'll need to go to bolt office so they add you to it if you meet the requirements
