- Freddo the 6 year old Rottweiler is the last of the original shelter dogs to be adopted. Surrendered 3 or 4 times already, he hadn’t had one application the whole time he was here at the farm, until now.
That’s right Freddo has been adopted. He’s found his forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for him!
Freddo you will never be surrendered again. Relax now buddy and soak up the love from your new family. Your first Christmas in your real home is just around the corner … life is just getting started!

This adoption got to me. Freddo finally got his happy ever after. When Freddo went through the gate, the happy tears started flowing! Thank you so much for making Freddo the happiest doggo ever! Yahoo!

Rottweilers get such a bad name and it’s very rarely ever the dogs fault, but because of the way we humans treat them. Watching the transformation of Freddo has been a joy , and the icing on the cake for him and all your followers ,was this, your family now being his forever home!
I nearly burst into tears when Freddo walked through the gate and there was Sam and the girls waiting on him! A million thank you’s to everyone at the farm but especially to you and your family Luke. X❤️

I agree, Jennifer! ...but I was crying at the title, afraid Freddo was actually leaving after bonding with everyone. By the time they got to the gate, I was bawling, then seeing Sam and the kids made me bawl even harder. It's been an emotional morning already, and it's only 5:30am in Pennsylvania! My heart is just bursting with joy for Freddo!🥰🥰🥰 (And I hugged my 13 year old Mysti girl a lot after watching too...)

I can’t stop crying!!! FREDDO IS HOME!!! That totally caught me off guard! Seeing Elle, Evie, Wolfie, Auntie (now Mum) Sam and the doggos on the other side of the gate, started the water works. 😭 The joy I feel is beyond words. Freddo has worked so hard for this glorious day, and now his furever home is heaven on earth. No doggo is more deserving.

Hi Debbie, you said exactly what I felt. I was sad at bath time, thinking, someone wouldn't understand Freddo, and the adoption news happened so fast. It took a minute for what was really happening to dawn on me. Truly heaven on earth. Cheers from Poulsbo, WA

I thought the same thing about the short intro...maybe Jason? Sam's notes in one of the videos (maybe in the Members section) hinted at the possibility of Freddo ending up at the farm, but I wasn't sure until today. Freddo does indeed look happy, and the way he was licking everyone, I'd say he's grateful as well. Finally, a home for the rest of his life, and the best possible one at that!🥰🥰🥰

I was doing ok till that. Bit damp around the eyes, but that tipped me over.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate all the incredible work that Luke and his family have put into these shelter dogs to give them the second chance at life they been in a shelter was never going to give them, the sad truth is that if it wasn’t for Luke these dogs would have been more than likely euthanised due to the fixable behavioural issues that had, especially Freddo and Yoyo had major trust issues bordering fearful aggression when we first met them.
Now look at them, everyone of them now has a future that every dog deserves, a loving family, a warm bed and finally a forever home to call their own🥰🥰🥰

My wife and I have been so heavily invested in Freddo! Just waiting and waiting for him to develop and be rescued by a brilliant person or family....we had to do a double take when the gate opened (crying already)....and lo and behold you all have struck gold. Feddo was on the kill list!! Luke has show that these misunderstood dogs just needed some structure, discipline, guidance and above all else LOVE. Look at him now full of confidence and even a leader to the young pups and part of the pack.

Oh wow. You bloody did it guys. You took some pound dogs who were fearful, dog aggressive, pigeon holed as unrehomeable (sp) because of their breed or because of the times they had been returned. Mistrustful of people,and who could blame them. You made them all a promise & you kept your word. Hours of training & love & these beautiful boys, & 1 girl became the dogs they were always meant to be.
What you have done is nothing short of amazing and I am sure I speak for all of the DDFT's family that have had the privilege of watching these videos that it has been the most wonderful journey that we have all been on together .💜💜💜

I watch Doggy Daycare every day and have been so hopeful that he would actually stay with Uncle Luke, Auntie Sam and the children! (Now Mom and Dad, sisters and brother!) Freddo is totally bonded to Luke. He has been for quite some time.He loves the family, but he is Uncle Luke’s all day long. Apparently the feeling is mutual - Freddo has the best family in the world! @@kathleenrayner1234 we have beagles! Love the breed so sad that they are number 1 tested on dog. We have two beagles with hopefully another joining our pack in the new year! If you look closely at my photo it’s my dog Daisy. She’s the only girl we’ve had. We take the males with a sad, sometimes abused past. Only take the ones that will likely not find homes. Barley was our first in 1997. He was returned 3 times and was to be put down. Awesome boy he was lived to 16!
DSM Good for you helping beagles. It makes me so sad and MAD when I see what this loveable breed endures from humans. Cosmetics at the price of dogs I find particularly criminal 😔😔😔. I have 7 dogs including a standard poodle that was the wrong colour for the breeder. Her name is Happy. 😀😀😀😀😀😀

I am so happy for Freddo and you all! You all literally saved his life. I got a little teary as I watched the video but then when I read the write up - I sobbed. Hearts of gold! Is it just me or did anyone else feel that Freddo seemed to open up during the course of the video? He seemed a lot happier at the end and knew the family's feelings towards him had become more permanent. That was just so nice...

I saw the title and was both happy and sad for Freddo. Happy that he's been adopted, but sad because I felt like he was already home. When Luke went through that gate to Freddo's family my weepy tears turned into absolute sobs of Joy ❤ I'm a boo-hooing mess, but in a *good* way ❤❤❤

The most amazing thing is, to me, that you could dream to hope. I like Freddo (perhaps) didn't have that expectation, it came as a true miracle straight from the Evans' hearts, as big as the sky! This is really real!

It was the way Luke talked about his heartbreaking journey through four owners and shelters-I just kept hoping he’d decide to keep him. I felt like no one but them could appreciate what a special boy he is. So supremely happy for them all. ❤️

I was really pleased when I saw the notification & happily watched the prep, when I saw the tail wag at the gate a flag went up then it took me a few seconds to understand what was happening! Oh my giddy aunt, he looked so happy rolling around & playing on the castle. Tears streaming down my face, the only time I’ve cried in the last 6 months is watching something heartwarming from this wonderful dog farm. We obviously empathise more because we’ve seen his journey.
I doubt that there’s a better home & family in the entire world. (A genuine comment, no hyperbole intended)

So great to see Freddo at his forever home, it’s obvious he loves all the Evans family. Plus Luke’s getting more males in it as well. Freddo is so relaxed, though I think you will find young Wolfe has found a protector for life. This is absolutely fantastic!! When I saw the notice Freddo was adopted, I tuned in right away. Imaging my surprise when I found out his new family. I have a soft spot for this guy and beyond happy he found his forever home.

You saved the best news until last. You have achieved so much with these Shelter dogs in such a short time and now they ALL have brilliant, loving forever homes. Freddo is such a lucky boy scoring the best home of all. Thank you to all at DDFT for saving these precious beings and giving them back joyful, wonderful lives.
I am just happy for Fredo I have tears in my eyes. Every time I saw one of the dogs get adopted I always thought is someone ever going to adopt Fredo. This is just perfect.
