Hi everyone! Thank you for clicking on this video. We just want to let you know this film has been fully subtitled in English. The subtitles should come on automatically, but if they don't you just have to turn them on.
This link should help explain how: support.google.com/youtube/answer/100078?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en
I remember the banner, “Born in Brazil, reborn in Middlesbrough”.
As I São Paulo FC supporter, I saw the start of his career. He was really good, like he was in England. Great player, very nice human being.
That's why he is Middlesbrough greatest ever player
I remember him! This guy was really good and even after his awful injury in late 1997 he still cameback pretty good!
My idol
Juninho Paulista Best Of The BEST : Champion World CUP 2002 Brasillllll Monstroooo.
LEGEND UTB
What a great player
HE WAS A VERY GOOD FOOTBALLER AND A WORLD CLASS FREE KICK TAKER HE SHOULD NOT HAVE LEFT MIDDLESBROUGH TBH
@Shane Gallagher Hahaha init mate i think a few idiots in the comments think the same
5 years ago? You got the wrong Juninho like many of others in this comment. This is not the free kick Juninho
The great free kick taker of that team was Juninho's fellow Brazilian Emerson. I'm surprised he didn't break the goal a few times!
JUNINHO PAULISTA um ótimo jogador sem sombra de dúvidas! ⚽
Underrated channel
Awesome content
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, does TLF mean he wished he had stayed with Boro or just in England? Had he stayed he might not have broke his leg. He will always be cherished at Middlesbrough for his three spells but football will always be full of what ifs...
Would not broke his leg and would play the 98 world Cup
Yeh he said here he should’ve stayed in England , not in Middlesbrough. He couldn’t play second division and be a national player no chance
Up the Boro!
Best Boro player
The first subtitle is wrong. 1992, not 2002.
Send this to a Leeds Newcastle Sunderland fan
TO be fair...Newcastle fans would just put a video of Shearer. Not sure what your point is? But yeah! I'm a Boro fan and this guy is second ONLY to Steve Gibson in the pantheon of Gods. Juninho and when he signed, remember that? That was like a HUGE movement man, SOOOO many people started following Boro at that time who never even liked football before. Me included. Massive Boro fan OVERNIGHT lol 94-95 Didn't even know about football. by 97 my bedroom was BORO to the ceiling lol Wallpaper, bedsheets, MASSIVE poster of the team, lampshades you fucking name it! Boro kits etc.! lol. It was Boro's BIGGEST highpoint IMO forget the Cup, forget the nights in the UEFA Cup etc. It was around 95-96 there was just this THING around Boro. It was AMAZING. Sadly there hasn't been anything like it since :( The WHOLE TOWN just isn't Boro MAD like it was around that time. It really was crazy. How old are you? You mention Leeds so your an older dude for sure Do you remember it? Those were awesome times.
The high point for me was that sensational UEFA run to the final. We looked dead and buried in at least 3 of those games. I remember I cried my eyes out when we were relegated at Leeds on the final day though. We were incredibly lucky to have had it so good, we had players who showed so much love to the fans, the club and the town. And we idolised them.
He moves to Glasgow Celtic in the Scottish league for a while. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.
If he was a modern day footballer, he definitely wouldn't regret that.
Interesting video.
Had he not left Middlesborough, he might have kept his form.
The words "I should have never left Middlesbrough!" didn't leave his mouth once. Not even nearly. Why is it quoted as such in the title of the video and in the description? He said he should have stayed in England in '97, nothing more or less.
Not in this video but he did actually say that more than a few times. We Smoggies worshipped him. You can't put a price on that.
Boro legend
Misleading. He said he wished he never left England in 1997, not Boro. He wanted to join another English club. Probably Man Utd
I think it was Liverpool that we’re interested in him
Hmmm. He didn’t elaborate *why* it might have been better to stay in England.
Maybe because he was only at the peak of his career at the time, he still had many years left with middlesbrough, but chose money over quality football, spanish teams have the money and perseverance to find new talent all the time unless you’re a top flight club in the premier league you hold onto your best players for aslong as you can.
@@brogenkapoor6089 money over quality? Boto got relegated. La liga is better and than Championships.
@@brogenkapoor6089 He left Boro because they had been relegated. The Brazil coach at the time (1997) said only players in the top divisions would be considered for the 1998 World Cup.
I was at the Riverside when Juninho was unveiled for Middlesbrough, i ran on the pitch and scuffed his hair when he was doing kick-ups (i was 16), he's barely aged a day! If i could describe this man in three words it would be Boro's Little Fella. He was incredible for us and what an absolute dream it was to be a Boro fan back then. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Michel Salgado killed his career. Son of a b***
Nice video. Can u do a video on Center Defensive Mid. I am so close to playing at college and I need help and ur channel helps alot of my friends out. PLEASE??????!!!!!!!
he could of joined liverpool after middlesbrough instead of atletico, i think he regrets that. liverpool came in for him but he gave his word to atletico
@Shane Gallagher he said that in an interview
He was so happy in Atletico, but Michel Salgado "the murderer" killed his career.
It was United dickhead, why would he go to liverpoo and win nothing
@@johnowen7302 www.sportsjoe.ie/football/regretful-juninho-reveals-why-he-didnt-move-to-liverpool-120178
@@johnowen7302 alright no need for the name calling
Misleading title. He actually said he regrets leaving England
What country do you like Middlesbrough is in then? Pedantic person.
Thought it was Free kick juninho lmao
Nah this Juninho was much better
This Juninho was a better player.
i thought it was about juninho pernambucan
Damian Karijokromo who?
A G search his name on UA-cam
you'll see how good he's with free-kick
He never played for Middlesbrough you idiot
Juninho Pernambucano* Pernambucano is because he's from the state of Pernambuco. Juninho Paulista because he's from the state of São Paulo.
