May 23, 2024 El Dorado, Oklahoma VIOLENT Tornado!!!

May 23rd had a lot going for it. High CAPE, 70 dewpoints, great shear and a boundary. A cluster of supercells formed and congealed into one monster. North of El Dorado, the supercell anchored and dropped a long lived violent tornado that we intercepted a 1-2 miles away. It rotated south towards us, then as the mesocyclone occluded, it turned east/northeast. Amazing day, and I apologize for a couple cuss words here!!! Thankfully the tornado stayed over open countryside.

Awesome footage... like a big white ghost. I am always thinking about livestock being decimated by these huge tornadoes...
