Whenever I am learning a new song I like to watch others play it and take a few things from them. After watching your cover no need to watch any others. Excellent my friend!
Fama Gusta Nothing fancy, just a cheap Digital Reference mic kit with a Shure Beta 52 on the kick. I use Logic X and no 3rd-party plugins, just a bit of EQ, compression, reverb and I throw a bit of chorus on the toms. It doesn’t look like I even had a 57 on the snare in this, not sure why.
Yeah...being a "visual " learner, this is right up my alley. On point and tight to the original. I'm sure you have your own take based on your style, but very informative. This is the 1st video on your channel I've seen. Only issue, the angle switching...when trying to observe what you're doing, is hard to follow. Great cover!

Pretty bad ass!!! I gotta comment on the brightness of your crashes. I'm using A, K and K custom and I can't get that brilliant of a sound. My compliments on using crashes also. Most people just throw up whatever they got and bash away. Not allot of people understand how to play them.
That's kind of you to say, I really appreciate the kind words. You can get that out of A's with the right EQ (just as I have done), but K's and K Customs (I think) are meant for more of a darker and muted/washy tone. Unfortunately, I use cheap cymbals because that's what I can afford, so I guess on some level I'm a guy that just throws up whatever I got ;) Thanks for watching!
Thanks for posting this. So glad I found this. I am learning this song to play with our starting cover band. You did such a fine job at this I am going to use it as a guide to play it. Sometimes I have a hard time picking a song apart. The way the high hats are played really helped out. One of my favorite tunes. I especially liked how you added the bell. A definite signature sound I always picked up in that song. Great job!

I use all Evans heads. The kick is an Emad kick with the Eq pillow inside. That's a lot of it, but I also take pride in my tuning to. As for the hats, no idea, I picked them up used a long time ago, but I do actually enjoy them. A lot of it also comes down to my eq in post as well. That being said, I don't use a bunch of crazy plugins or sound replacement. It's all just eq, compression, and reverb. Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it.
Duane Walters No problem man loved it! I just picked up a new set of kick heads and gonna try out..EMAD ONYX batter and EQ3 black reso. Currently have Remo pinstripes Ebony batter toms. Sabian AA set 21" rock ride, 16" thin crash, 17 med crash. then 14" XS20 hats. May trade those pinstripes in for Evans of some sort haven't decided yet. trying to get the all over sound I want yet. still searchin lol. 👍👍
