    Also a note for people who herd manage is really only do if you don't play the game a lot and can only play it for a little bit but if you play the game non-stop it basically devalues diamonds as you get so many where when you see a diamond you won't be as excited because you already have so many

    • @JBizHunts

      I would agree. I get an hour or so a day between parenting, relationships and career. Herd management is just one way of grinding for a great one to make it a bit more exciting. I have 250+ diamonds and I still get super excited to see a max level animal, I’m just not as excited to add them to my lodge unless they are huge like a 270 fallow, 300 moose or 275 whitetail.

    What curious timing! I just bought the New England DLC after having not played for a few years. I would like to work on herd managing both whitetail and moose on the map so it's just a paradise of huge, beautiful animals. Already spotted two diamond moose, but didn't harvest them. One thing I wish we had was an easily interactive map where we could take better notes about what the herds and what you're culling from them

    • @JBizHunts
      @JBizHunts  Рік тому

      I find an image of the map im grinding and print it out (I know, old school). I then mark the zones on the map and indicate if it’s a solo or herd zone and how many bulls/bucks per zone. I usually don’t mark much more other than circling the zones I think have the potential to be my main shooting zones. Once they are managed I cross them off. You could do it similarly on paint or another program, but I play console and it’s nice to have the paper infront of me.

    New player question: I have one lake with 3 zones, all off which have a max weight bucks.
    Would you recommend picking just one of these zones as a main zone and shooting down the others? Or all can be main zones?
    Also, when picking main zones to stack, zone means a singular drink zone, and not an entire lake right?
    So the example above about one lake with 3 zones with max weight bucks, I’d count that as three zones if I kept all
    3, and find 7 others to stack max weight bucks on? Shoot down the rest?
    When I’m ahooting down secondary/low
    Level zones, do I also rotate the main shooting zones that already have max weight or diamond potential bucks? Or do I leave those alone until everything else is shot down? I assume shooting your big deer out of main zones before you’ve managed the whole map is counter productive?
    Thank you, great video.

    • @JBizHunts
      @JBizHunts  Місяць тому

      @@TnargNoj a lake with many zones can be considered 1 zone in a sense since you can quick travel with 1 tent. You have to keep shooting your main zones to get the little bucks out. The problem with having 10 or so main zones now is that since the July update you should have 16 final zones and try to manage the rest. That way a full rotation going to 16 tents and harvesting hopefully 16 big males will make respawns work the best.

    • @JBizHunts
      @JBizHunts  Місяць тому

      @@JBizHunts Thanks for the reply, great info. To end with 16 good/high level shooting zones, would it be more productive to initially start with managing your 12 to 14 final shooting zones, and just rotating 2 to 4 shoot down zones?

    • @JBizHunts
      @JBizHunts  Місяць тому +1

      @ yes, I would do 10 main to begin and trying to shoot down 6 others until you are down to your final 16 zones (original 10 + final 6) then there’s your final grind. Keep rotating and then every 250-300 harvests go scout to see if any stragglers made it outside of your herds

    I seem to keep getting bigger bucks on my externals, so I just keep shooting them until I finally get smalls? Or do I need to focus on my main shooting lakes more to try to get more big bucks? I have lots of bucks in the lower 200s spawning all over the place but no level 3s except 1. Not sure how to get the bigger ones where I need them and not in the exterior zones

    • @JBizHunts
      @JBizHunts  10 місяців тому

      You have to be doing both… that’s why you pick 8-10 zones that you want forever. Always show up and shoot the biggest bucks unless there are level 3’s being stacked which leaves you nothing left to shoot in your main zones (for now)… and always shoot down your external zones the other 6-8 tents. As you shoot those down to small 2’s and 1’s you can pick up that tent and move onto another external zone until you manage all other zones. If there’s 60 zones, you have to manage down 50 zones and leave you with 10 zones at the end that you rotate on basically. Herd management is not for anyone new and it takes a long time to get it in place
