@@Clleonie i don't think it's pretending as much as it's just enjoying the aesthetic of the shirt. alot of those bands on mass produced shirts have become so big and so apart of the cultural zeitgeist that their names on a shirt happens to be more of a fashion item than a proclamation of love for that band. and i don't think most people who wear a Metallica shirt are pretending to like the band as much as they just liked the shirt and decided to wear it.
@@haileybaker1383 people used to be able to show their personality and taste through the clothes they wore, now people are fake, so much so, that they will wear something that doesn't reflect the music they like, they just wear it "for the aesthetic". Band t-shirts would have started a conversation between people who had similar taste in music, now you ask someone that is wearing a band t-shirt about the band they are basically advertising and they have no idea who they are. Weird and ridiculous and is basically the epitome of who we have become as a society; fake with no depth.
@@Clleonie i don't understand why you're so mad about it tho? like genuinely. alot of people wear band tees for bands that they love, myself included. but i still don't see what's wrong with wearing a shirt thats just cool. band or no band. i guess we just have different points of view. no need to get angry w people who wear a shirt for the aesthetic though. they're still expressing themselves through their clothes, it doesn't have to make them fake
This is how I’m feeling now at 34….
