I am just hooked to this. This is awesome. This band live was amazing. Glad SP is back, but I have a special place in my heart for a band named after Greek canned meat 😅
This is amazing. I'm a billiam NUT so of course I saw them live a few times.... but it's not til my mid-life crisis and nearly crippling, debilitating anxiety caused by the existential dread which leads me to question my very own existence and usefulness amongst a society conditioned to care for numbers and money more than animals and even other humans... and even, their own flesh and blood. It's just that I feel like a dinosaur ½ the time, and that's exactly why, at 42, for the first time ever, the lyrics of the real posts of and Djali Zwan spoke to me so so so VERY SO FUCKING much. That I stayed up all night listening to all the songs that were played before Mary Star of the Sea And some of my favorites among them to like girl with the cruel face and friends as lovers lovers as friends.... but the album is the best of the more uplifting stuff and I've never heard it in this fidelity.... sans that one radio performance of spilled milk. . Tell me, do you know if you're playing me other songs in that broadcast Lord if they didn't the other similar radio broadcasts? (I always loved the live SP stuff too... like the BBC, or the Peel sessions.... uhhh....AOL and Howard Stern are faves for great audio.... and kEXP or whatever it is but I feel like "they're too cool" to ever have a 'billy band' on
Man, how random is it you posted this a month ago and I outta nowhere have the desire to hear Jesus, I/Mary Star and stumbled upon it? It's amazing to hear these versions in such good quality. Thanks so much! I saw many Zwan shows so it really hits home and wow they were an amazing live band, the recorded version of the album is good but nothing compared to their live catalog. Bravo and thanks again! 🙏🏼🤘🏼
