Yes I agree. I actually thought locs will make me spend less on hair. I have normal locs not sister locks but I agree with everything you said. Longest time girl. Please go to your wedding with your locs.

To your point about self-reties - I often joke that most loctitians I know either have no locs 😆, or relatively larger locs 😅 My loc count is 250ish. Maybe it's sheer coincidence but I'm going to file it away as one of those thoughts that make you go ....🤔

Hmmm...I know at least 3 loctitians in Lagos who specialise in tiny locs and are actually good at it. 2 are mobile and are more than happy to come to you. In Abuja I know at least 2 other loctitians (besides myself) who actually do good work that I'm willing to vouch for. There are others in Lagos and Abuja, but I wouldn't vouch for them as I've had clients transfer from them with holes, messed up grids and shoddy work. I think from a loctitians perspective, the land is green. I find that few people are willing to invest the time and money to learn. Those that do learn are sometimes dishonest or just not dedicated to improving themselves. It's not a scarcity of loctitians per se. It's a scarcity of loctitians who know what they are doing and also have integrity.
