I was at that race as a 13-year old kid, my step Dad #30 Mickey Flora qualified 16th and the motor blew early in the race (11:40 mark). Three NASCAR Hall of Famers in that race in Kulwicki, Martin, and Wallace. ASA was a tough series for us to compete in.
ASA was awesome, the greatest pavement racing series ever imo. Too bad what happened with Viacom. Pavement late model racing hasn't recovered from it, especially since the all pro series declined and then Hooter Pro Cup in the south.

Well, my prediction was correct that ASC broadcasted this race. Love to see more old ASA races, especially from the 80's.
