  • Rabbits Rule! Squirrels and rabbits get along pretty well in the Backyard, but in every new generation of squirrels one decides to get in a rabbit's face and the results may surprise you. Now that I have both Cottontail and Marsh Rabbits regularly visiting the Florida Backyard I continue to see squirrels occasionally pushing their buttons and going a bit too far with horseplay. Rabbits have amazing powers that not everyone or every squirrel is familiar with. Here is a video of a rabbit in North Carolina standing up to a 400 pound female elk - • Fearless Rabbit Versus...

Interacting with animals can have a variety of effects on a child's development. Not only will they learn to love living things, but they will also learn about the warmth and importance of life. It is very difficult to convey the warmth and importance of life to small children through words alone, but it is believed that this can be done by using animals as an intermediary. It is also expected that infants will be able to acquire language skills. By matching words to the sensations of \"warmth\" and \"softness\" that infants feel when they touch animals, it is possible to naturally increase their vocabulary and expressive power. By interacting with animals that are smaller than themselves, children can also develop feelings of compassion and care.🐮🐱🥰🐇🐐🐐🐒😍🐶🐷

Yes, children love animals; it’s a betrayal to feed them animal products as such. ❤

Wow, we both learned something today as neither of us had ever known that the vertical jumping was to be considered a warning. We both thought it was just a part of play or even a self-defense mechanism similar to involuntarily blinking one’s eyes when a previously unseen object passes too close. We shall be watching our rodents’ interactions more closely here at the Tooth & Beak! Thanks!!! :)

Thanks! The rabbits jump vertically to be ready for action so they have options, they probably don't consider it a warning, but it should be interpreted as a warning by squirrels. I love the look on the one squirrel that tries to pounce on the bunny when the bunny disappears upward and the squirrel probably then realizes too late its been had....BB

Let’s be honest. As much as I love squirrels, they are without a doubt the most troublesome little shits that visit my garden!!

Squirrels are funny and once they get a hold of peanuts meant for the Blue Jays, they would climb up my sliding glass screen door demanding some. Twice one managed to get in my kitchen when I left the door open and made a beeline for a huge open bag of sunflower seeds in a bathroom next to the door. He jumped on top and began chowing away. Lol.
I didn’t realize only 1 in 5 squirrels make it to adulthood. They also attract Blue Jays and Cardinals to the yard. But they are a pain when you get four of them eating all the bird food and destroying feeders.

why were they fighting in the first place? is it about whos territory it is?
i have a rabbit that has been squatting in my fenced in backyard. a squirrel came up to the rabbit and looking like they were boxing. Never seen the rabbit jumping around it though. afterwords the squirrel and the rabbit were munching on carrots i left out and acting like nothing happened.
People say rabbits are pests but squirrels are the worst.

The squirrel just wanted to show the rabbit whose boss, but it didn't work out.

I have 20 domestic rabbits that live in my back yard! I feed squirrels as well. So this is a great video. Thus far, my rabbits must be kept from their own kind and gender. And the squirrels are very mean to other squirrels. My boy rabbits are all fixed. None of my rabbits have ever been, or ever will be exploited. So I hope to see many more videos like this one! Thank you!

Rabbit: Stick to pilfering the bird feeders, pal. My uncle Fred chewed his own foot off to escape a snare.
Squirrel: I take that as a challenge.
Rabbit: I see you have chosen death then. Very well.
