- a classic Buick, doesn't get much better than this. sunroof, digital radio, fuel injection, power windows. only issue is the climate control center will not function.

87 Buick Park Avenue luxury Back in the day
I had one just like this one! It was unstoppable! The computer controlled engine and fuel injection made it run like a top. It really was a great car.
The 3800 debuted in late 87 as a new engine for 1988, I owned an 85-89 exactly the same color.
I had an 85, no sunroof, ride like a cloud, one finger steering, velour seats, train horn, epic. Miss that car
The door locks "work really well."

We had this as a kid hated it but had a ton of fun memories with it
I had a 89 sane color and same, but this one is a 88 because Buick changed the design of the steering wheel in 88 which means that one has the first 3800, still 💕 em can't wait to buy another one.
Definitely not an '87. 1988 model for sure. The engine is a giveaway. The 3.8L was the (only) engine available on the 1987. It was 'redone' for '88, becoming the bulletproof 3800 V6. Also, the steering wheel changed to this design in 1988. The 1985-1987 was different. And the interior of this car was used in the Park (not Electra, though) for '85, '86, '87, and '88. It was changed for 1989. All that said to probably no one who cares (lol!), I positively LOVE LOVE LOVE this red example of a beautiful model (Buick used a twin to your Park in one page ads titled "Richness In Red", FYI lol!). And the miles are excellent. If I had room (and money) for another car, this would have been one I'd have bought. For sure.
Sounds like you know a lot about the 87...I'm thinking of purchasing a 87 with 85k miles and it's super clean
@@klewee1505 Buy it! The miles are right! The only negative is the Turbo 440 Hydramatic Transmission on 85 through 87. If it is a ok then it should be fine! Is it a Park Avenue or the base Electra?
It's a Park Avenue and it has leather seats the interior is super clean!

Build date was 87. So for the 88 model year yes.
