Don’t leave Peterborough, even as a arsenal fan, think long term you can win it all with your favourite current club
It wouldn't really be a journeyman save if he stayed at Posh
@@joshquinn4964all I mean is stay until he wins something fa cup or Europa league & then move on to a bigger club, just think in his save arsenal is a slight step down
Plus technically is non league to legend... not journey man to legend
Winning it all with Posh would totally be in the spirit of the save in my view
The irony of never too many chairs Kev not having enough chairs
Imagine what AFTV would be like if this save was irl 😂
probably suffring his 3rd heart attack
I'm imagining lots of Kev quotes on press conferences including the latest one on the end of this video "Niblets to ya" 😂
Don robbie just might be the owner
Kev: Am I so old that clubs move twice in my lifetime?
Me, a Coventry fan, watching the club play at their 4th ground during my lifetime: ...
We have only played at one ground since 1912 :)
@@petemarr824 Who do you support?
If you go to Arsenal (which makes sense within the rules of the save), please keep a separate Peterborough save file where you don’t go. I appreciate you won’t have time now, but later in the year when you’ve finished NLTL, I’d love to see you pick it back up and take Peterborough on a road to glory
Dont go to arsenal only go to a champions league club
He does what he would do in real life, he would probably have his salary quadrupled.
Going to a club with the resources and infrastructure of a Champions League club, currently failing due to board incompetence and player recruitment, seems eminently realistic.
I wouldn't go to Arsenal if it was me... As I can see Liverpool is also having a hard time in the game this season. I am not a fan of either but "Booring Arsenal" isn't a great pick in my book. In the end of the season some of the other big clubs will likely need a manager.
I won’t get a job at a big club at the end of the season - this kind of situation is the only way a big club hires a manager at a small club with only 2 years top flight experience
@@lollujo 100% agree with that.
@@lollujo I have been asked by both Liverpool and Chelsea in my current save. And I am only in League 1. I just have a one club save going. But maybe the game feel when you are interested and when you aren't ha ha ha
I think two mains reasons to pick up Arsenal in this situation from roleplaying perspective are:
A) Salary improvement. They are willing to pay twice as much as people from Peterborough are paying. But again, if this season ends up being successful, I think salary raise is pretty likely. Would Kev be impatient enough to use this as the main reason, as I don't think this kind of a difference would last too long?
B) A challenge. Some people like HARD situations, they thrive in them. Saving Arsenal in this mess sounds like an interesting challenge from the perspective of the manager, that loves to take risks. And this one sounds like one.
I also agree with people that this feels like a downgrade, but it's not completely ridiculous or anything IMO.
I wouldn't leave Peterborough because they are same level and better prospects at Peterborough
Being in a title race with Peterborough and then moving into relegation battle with Arsenal seems silly.
@@failpit3751 not considering the rules of the save take salary into account when deciding whether to switch clubs or stay
@Homer Weeks no whinging m8 just saying kev will do what kev want
Seems like a great challenge! Sure you could have a title race, but the prospect of more money AND the glory of saving Arsenal at their lowest seems too good to pass up. As you mentioned, this is the ticket into some of the top teams.
No matter the choice, this save is proving entertaining. Keep it going! 😁
Yep... Still the best #FM21 journeyman save serie ever!
Says a follower of this serie for 4 years already..... Great stuff!
Nope. It's not about the wage budget surely. You're at your hometown club and it's going brilliantly. I don't think you'd move. The only thing that might change that would be a personal wage jump - that's the only justification I can image. There's a real opportunity to become a true 'Legend' at a club for this series.
See Kev, should've tried to win the league in the Showdown for the free chair.
But it was a kids chair with no legs! I don’t want to sit on the floor!
@@lollujo I love Big Joe chairs. Played Witcher 3 in one!
And yeah, for whatever reason, clubs don't remember they have money again when it comes to staff this year. I don't get WNT by my profile until I run down my contract to the last year. No matter how much I overachieve. I stomped Bayern 2 yrs in a row w/ Leipzig, got Flick sacked, and they didn't even do their, "If you can't beat "em, buy 'em!" trick with me. And when Bayern isn't buying the best talent in Germany, players or staff, 8yrs into the save, you know there are recruitment issues in FM21.
So I've settled for stomping them into the mud and passing them on the reputation page. 😁
I was thinking that as well
I would go to Arsenal myself- I'm in the minority though. They are much bigger an will enhance your rep massively for the last stage of the series its a good stepping stone club imo but no biggie if you dont
I love the way keV notices the way you can get free views of the games at the park. For me an ongoing highlight is keV finding ways to watch the game for free.
Will be interesting to see what managerial Merry go round develops. If we don’t get Arsenal job we could take whatever job current favourite Gattuso leaves behind?.
I think Arsenal would be a silly move when you are currently in the hunt for CL. Yeah the wage bill at arsenal is higher now but imagine what one league without european football is gonna do to the finances and what a CL spot would do to Peterboroughs
Why would Kev take the Arsenal job?
Going from Champions League contention to a relegation battle might not sound like a good plan. But it's also going from Peterborough (currently not playing in their own stadium due to building a new, still smaller than Arsenal's, stadium). Arsenal's Finances will likely be more "matured" compared to Peterboroughs. The history in the Premier League is there. I'd imagine the reputation is higher (so better chance of attracting bigger name players).
It's a perfect situation to get in, instead of waiting for their manager to retire or get poached you get into a club that's seriously underperforming. Right the ship and then have a better base.
I'm not desperate for you to leave Posh, but the idea of changing the save from building a smaller club and taking them to Europe to going to a big team thats going through hard times and bringing them back to prominence is, in a word, intriguing.
I wouldnt bother leaving Peterborough for a struggling Arsenal team. Youve already built the backbone of a good football squad and you'd probably need a massive rebuild at Arsenal at this point. I'd wait for a better job tbh....and I'm an Arsenal fan lol
Should have won the league in the showdown for the KFC chair 😂
Came here to say the same thing 😂
Where would I put a KFC chair? You see how small my office is!
dont go to arsenal we want to see them get relegated
I totally agree. We have a possible big club going down... down mess with it !
IK!! Its the first "top 6" possibly getting relegated...
As someone who likes to try and also keep my save realistic like you i think arsenal is unrealistic as your managing your favourite club getting them to all time highs and playing european football for the first time in Poshs existence for me Arsenal while being the bigger club is doing a Nottingham Forest and becoming a sleeping giant I’d wait till next season to start looking at moving clubs as arsenal could recover but to leave a club who’s feasibly in a title race and challenging for Europe second year running it’s the more enticing job especially if you do win the league and get champions league football and even potentially win the Europa league it would fully make you a “Legend” and while yes winning the save but also making history at you favourite club and becoming their Sir Alex or Bobby robson.
If only there was a competition with a chair as a prize that you had been competing in recently.
Reason why not to join Arsenal:
1. Struggling in Relegation
a) lets see a "top 6" team go down
2. Its a step down going from a club who finished in Euro's last season to fighting in Champions this year
3. Big prospects
4. Favourite club
5. Both have the same stats
6. Possible relegation (but its kev, probs finish in euro's)
You can't go to another club in England. You're building something good and you have the chance to do something you don't normally do in this series which is building a club into a winner.
It's not worth it. Your squad is good and with the money coming in, you'll grow with the team and go on to greater heights. Arsenal is in a relegation battle meaning you'll need to delay your CL ambitions for 1.5 seasons at least and Arsenal will need a big rebuild. Also, your reputation will not spike since you're on the same level as Arsenal now. I'd commit to the current project, stadium will be there soon and then the sky is the limit
You should apply. Firstly, they would pay you way more money. Secondly, their reputation would be a lot higher and it would lead to a bigger job after.
Lastly, it’s a journeyman save. We will all love watching you turn Holme into a champions league winning team. This save isn’t for that. Keep up the good work!
I like how Kev is concerned people will be watching his teams games for free.
As an Arsenal fan, I REALLY hope you go to them. Would be an interesting rebuild job.
I think you should move to a Champions League club only, since I dont actually think this is that much of an upgrade. Its an interesting rebuild job, but I hardly feel they have more potential than Peterborough at this stage
I reckon you should take the Arsenal job if offered. It's a 2/3 year plan to get into the champions league with them I reckon, but when you do that wage budget will be 5/6 million. You will be a long time waiting for that at posh.
As much as it would hurt to leave Posh under the rules of the save surely Arsenal is the way forward. Bigger ground, better salary, steeped in history. I really love this squad though so can we take some players with us pretty please 😂
That would be the plan!
Would be very interesting to see if you got the job kev after spurs job fell through. By right you should get the job after doing a fantastic job at Kettering and now the posh. Jobs I have noticed are much harder to get in FM21 than it was in FM20. Myself I would go as arsenal are a big club and it would lead to another big job if you turn things around at the club.
As a Tottenham fan, it would crush my souls to watch you take the arsenal job. Unless you take it just to run the club further in the ground. 😁
A chair? A THRONE, for the 5-Time KING of the FMStreamerSHOWDOWN!!! ;)
Take the Posh to the top and win the league - Please don’t abandon ship yet! Esp for a team that are no better than what you have!
This team is basically where Manchester United’s youth players go if they can’t break into the team
I stick with The Posh. In other news I’ve played FM21 for 400 hours and I’ve just had my second VAR goal decision given after review!
Cliffhanger alert! Good stuff
1:47 wow the premier league has completely dominated the Europa League in this save barring the one win from Shakhtar at the start
English teams vastly overperform in Europe this year in FM. Again. Over half the European competitions in my save have been won by England. Only 1 Champions League for Spain. 1 for Germany (my team, not Bayern).
But the English researchers don't overvalue English talent. Nope.
@@shawngillogly6873 even though I'm English that makes me want to do like a European tour of winning the European competitions as a German, Spanish and Italian side . Maybe french as well but that's a challenge if you're not PSG
Might as well add, since it's that time of the season again. My route to the UCL final is Chelsea (beaten), Man Utd next, then the winner of Man City/Benfica. I've played Man City in European knockouts 4 of 5 seasons.
Barca/RM drew each other. None of the English sides drew each other. Again. Really takes the fun out of Europe to play the same teams every year.
@@shawngillogly6873 what team are you btw? I’ve started playing as Werder Bremen in Germany
Millionaire Kev getting called out for owning too many chairs now suddenly needs a new chair to hide the fact he's a millionaire, nice try Kev :)
I'm doing a Peterborough save myself..took me 2 seasons to get them in premier league..back to back titles just won championship on last match of the season..now building a squad for premier league football..and also applied for the Arsenal job..how strange is that?? I'm on 22/23 season.
you need to rotate more Kev...thats why Lopez broke his leg!
I would not go to Arsenal at all. You are in a much better situation for the future and more to build on
I'm an Arsenal fan and I think you should stay.
It's a shame the Peterborough board couldn't build a larger stadium. How long would it take to expand it after it's completed?
gonna be honest would hate to see you go to arsenal your building something and investment makes for a better reward in the end
But the point of the series is to take opportunities like this!
End of the series for me if you join arsenal! I'm loving this Peterborough bus thats on its way to champions league!
Why would you stop watching?
@@lollujo just wouldn't want to see you there personally - I'd have to route against you as a Chelsea fan 😉. I also think it would take a step back in the save as you've already accomplished more with Peterborough than what arsenal currently have. Kevy5times!
Don’t leave
I think it's time to start looking at other options
Mainly because staying at the same club for so long gets a bit stale and boring
Saying that, I'm not sure that Arsenal are the best option, but that probably makes them more entertaining
If it were my save I would absolutely go to Arsenal in that situation.
Moving to Arsenal is not s step up. Your wage increases yep but staying at Posh to push them for a title and European Cup is better. You still getting a decent transfer budget and wage each season you been there. Move abroad...you have accomplished things much quicker this year than previous but I say either stay at posh for the league or move abroad. Would be good to see you out of England for a year or 2
Kev ... I noticed Arsenal are a 4 star continental team where Peterborough are a National 4 star team .... Is there a difference?
Can you do a community poll to decide on the move to Arsenal? Seems like the only way to sort this out....
Win something with Posh first! They’ve a far better squad than Arsenal and within touching distance of a league win.
I think its time for a new challenge
11 games in ... Arsenal is tied for last at 3points (all draws) and -18GD
I don't know if Arsenal is necessarily that big a step up, particularly considering how well you're doing with Peterborough
The big step up is off the pitch. 3x the wage budget, an established stadium twice the size of the one we don’t even move into for 2 years, and top tier training and youth facilities.
@@lollujo And your salary! Arsenal could offer 4-5 times what posh pay you, who wouldn't apply?
Could you split the save and come back to Posh now, later in the year? Continue the NOTL with a bigger club? I’d hate to see posh go
Breaks the realism rule to do that...
Kev, Arsenal isn't a better prospect than the foundations that you've built at Posh so far. You'd be jumping ship while your home club is on the rise under your management. That's not very realistic. I know you want to kick the season on, but you've laid incredible foundations at Posh and are getting the most out of your young squad. You'll get your big job opportunity with a little bit of patience and some commitment and loyalty to Posh. Everyone is loving the Posh journey. It shouldn't be for a club that is a backward/sideways step. I know they have a bigger budget, but that's about it
Sometimes if you Apply for a job and you are not favourite, I tend to find I get offered the job
It would be sentimental to continue with Posh but that's not really the point of the series is it? If it were real life you would 100% take the opportunity of managing at Arsenal if it arose.
Arsenal also have almaida and Karim adeyami they are quality
I’d move personally then just bring a few players over with you, just say you get champo league this season you’d already be at your max with Peterborough for at least the next 4-5 seasons really due to clubs reputation. Can’t see the elite boys ever choosing Peterborough over Barcelona
Can you request in the interview to start the job next season? If so and they accept then try and get Posh in the champions league. If you do get champion league with Posh next season cancel the transfer but if not leave for Arsenal.
Hope you get the arsenal job as an arsenal fan, also Spurs turned you down so you can smash them
oh god dont go to banter FC, i didnt just binge this series to see you go there
Stay, theres exciting things going on at posh
But we’re very close to maxing out what we can realistically achieve there
Well if you feel like this than go for it, I'll support the channel no matter what
The karma of not playing for the KFC chair , lol
Arsenal is a sideways move keep with Posh
@lollujo Kev needing a chair in real-life? I thought you just moved house Kev? I was sure you wouldn't move into a house without ample amount of chairs included in the deal ;)
Don’t go to Arsenal! Peterborough is way better at this point.
He would've done it irl, way higher salary
@@Quintendejong123 True, but the potential he has at peterborough is world class.
@@espenreitsma9169 Agree, thats more the spirit of this format
Nibblets? I dunno what it means, but I laughed anyway! ;)
i hear someones selling a KFC chair soon. could jump in for that
Chelsea are really good this year
I'm enjoying the Peterborough journey but do think you are coming toward a ceiling with them now. That being said, I don't think Arsenal would be the right move as it looks like their squad would need too much rebuilding
Win something with the team you support 1st then move
But there might be an opportunity like this again. And it might take years to win something.
@@lollujo you should have shown us the arsenal squad and compared it to Peterborough one
Kev, your cam is a bit blurry - you should look into that.
Oh and yes, go to arsenal!
Only the wide cam at the start right? I had a new lens and I didn’t focus it properly, should be fine for tomorrow
Kev at least your not playing at the Dell 😂😂
Arsenal!!?? .... nahhh .... it's gonna need a rebuild more than what you've got at Posh.... same levels... a bigger stadium & wage budget is cosmetic, plus, I'm sure the board 'demands' would be unrealisticly stoopid!
Only go to Arsenal if Peterborough don't match the wages on offer
Do Leicester definitely play there? It may have been built for an international competition
I assume so? I should probably check
Kev would you have a problem with the community creating a sub reddit for Holme so that we can compare saves? I wanna share how the boys are getting on.
There’s a Holme section on the Discord, that’s probably the best place for it. I don’t have an issue with Reddit if you prefer though
@@lollujo top lad. :)
I wonder if there any good players at Arsenal. Who could play for Posh. If playing that bad will Arsenal go down.
How can you move from a club at the top of the table to the bottom? I would stay out and carry on building
should stay with Peterborough
Moving to Arsenal would be a big mistake imo. You can do better and why leave a 4 star for a 4 star... but as ever you’ll do you ;)
No don't leave your current club
the job is hunting in fm is broken this year it takes a long time for clubs to pick there mew manager
Take the job!
Go arsenal the messiah of the gunners just make sure to keep gunnersaurus around
Kev why don’t you have the correct names on the competitions and the trophy photos?
Because I forgot to add them, and then never noticed because it doesn’t bother me
You should have won the KFC chair
Hey kev, random question why dont man United not have a badge and everone else does

@@lollujo 👍
Arsenal seems like a massive downgrade to me, like it's a bigger club, but looks like a massive rebuild. Unless the transfer budget is significant, it wouldn't be worthwhile. Personally, if they were just outside the top 6 I'd be saying different, but in the relegation zone, it'd only worthwhile if you can really splash the cash to turn the team around
I wouldn't really want to go to Arsenal
Webcam is slightly out of focus in the intro?
Yeah, it’s a new lens, wasn’t focussed properly, should be fixed for tomorrow
@@lollujo cool cool, just thought I'd let you know :)
It's really not as attractive as you think don't leave your hometown club
Just stay at Peterborough. I’m one of those people who when I start a save, I stay at that one club and never leave because I enjoy constantly looking back and checking statistics of players and what I’ve achieved with that club as the seasons go by. No need to change clubs.
But the purpose of this save is to have a realistic career and move clubs when it makes sense to
@@lollujo Oh fair enough 👍🏾

Arsenal probably don’t go for you as your a Peterborough fan and Peterborough are a regular top 10 prem in Europe now so see no point
