In most Australian places tail-end to kerb is illegal, yet other places require it.
I once while doing a three point turn around in a side street outside a small group of shops, was observed with rear end to kerb in mid turning around having used the extra space of parking bays outside the shops reversing into the empty parking bay, as this was mid evening after the shops were all closed. Well as I drove out completing the turn around, a police car drove past the end of the road seeing my vehicle tail end to kerb. As I proceeded away, I have the police strobe lights and siren start behind me, I got pulled over and given a harsh lecture about illegal tail to kerb parking. I explained that I was turning around, looking for a specific address of a community house where a group meeting was to be held. The police started writing me a fine but neither officer could clarify the location I was seeking and finally cancelled completing the ticket and left me with a warning, stressing to do the three point turn it was not necessary to reverse into the parking space, as normally only road width is used for that turn around.

i think i will start selling sausage rolls. I make a batch of 8 at a time. the sausage mine costs $10/kg and I use 500g. Two eggs $2.00 some breadcrumbs $020 and some sauces about 0.40 and the pastry $1.50 so all up is less than $9 for eight sausage rolls. At that rate i would expect them to be selling for around $5 each to cover labour cooking oncosts and profit.

Australia doesn’t have high prize money for game shows, the highest amount for Deal or No Deal is 100,000. The UK is much much lower! Tipping Point has a daily prize amount of 10,000, if they can get the prize coin to drop before they run out of questions. UK quiz show, Pointless, has a prize amount of 2,000 unless no one wins it and then it carries over till the next day.

Tow hitch injury in Australia makes the vehicle insurance liable for injury compensation if the person injured cares to follow through a claim. By receiving injury from the protruding hitch, it is treated the same as injury by being hit by moving vehicle, even though the vehicle itself was stationary, and the injured person did not pay attention.
Thus it is highly preferred to have a removable tow hitch, locked in place by a lock pin, while needing its use. The remenant mounting them is within bumper outline and no longer liable if someone somehow skins their shin.

AS someone who has bought more than a dozen so called chicken salts over the years, Anchor salt, it is the closest to KFC salt, with it's garlic and onion powder. Mitani has curry powder, paprika, and a few other crap flavours that shouldn't be on chips. I've never tried the other one, but I will if I see it. Some have chicken stock cube flavours which are sometimes ok, but once you've had Anchor, the others will have to be on special before you'll try anything else.
Deal or No Deal is a numbers game based on probabilities, and basically they add all of the prizes together and halve it for the offer.
So if someone has the top and bottom prize left, $100k minus 50c = 99,999.50, with a 50/50 chance of winning so the fair odds to offer would be $50k and slightly in the players favour, and the player is likely to take the $50k, which takes away from their nail biting 'come back after the break' moments.
The odds are that if they had a $1m prize people would walk out after 3 minutes with a $40k practical life changing amount, rather that keep gambling for a not likely to win $400k amount. Most people just want to pay the mortgage for a year or 2, or even just for a couple of months, and count that as a win.
The Burgers with the Lot that you keep seeing pictures of are never like that in real life, they are the cooking show burgers they keep showing you.
Think of a triple cheese burger from a normal shop, compared to one they make of the Food Channel, one is practical to eat and one is stupid.

You know, just in case one misses the 6 pm episode they can watch it the next morning at 9:30, and if they miss the morning episode, it's ok, they can "catch up" on Saturday afternoon the first 3 episodes of the week on 11 and then Sunday morning on 12 and Sunday afternoon on 11. Yet, funny enough, there website is called 10 catch-up, but they dont show them online as catchups, but online at the same time as they are shown on the weekday.....6 pm.

OK while shops must put a mark up on goods sold, such prices on meat pies and sausage rolls are RIPOFF. I do realise that food concessions at major sporting venues also charge high prices, they at least can justify their high prices because the venue charges them very highly on making the concession space and facility available, and also often carry considerable overhead on unsold overstock, as sales volume is unable to be perfectly estimated, leading to scrapping quantities, hopefully providing / donating excess to food services for homeless or disadvantaged assistance services not just dumped trash.
As far as supermarket, depending on brand and specific pie or sausage roll variant and pack size price can vary.
One of the major brands Four and Twenty, as 4 pie pack, standard Beef meat pie standard price is around $7 per4, Chicken&vegetable near same or $1 less, but regular supermarket discount weekly can have these down into $5 range, specific variants like Beef&pepper, Angus Beef normally around $11, but special reduced to $7.60. Other brands can be $8 to $12, and even only 2 per pack, but some real variants Sous Vide, Wagu Beef, and many more. Yet some house brand could be 8 basic meat pies for $6 or less. Individual 'cold' pies could be $3 region or less. Hot ready to eat will be marked up a bit on that depending on shop.
Sausage rolls mainly vary mainly by size less by varied recipe, but supermarket packs, 6 or 8 similar to basic meat pies. Individual quick microwave heatable pack, both meat pie and sausage roll normally around $3, with specials at $2 range or less frequently as low as $1.50.
Another variant are Pastie, either meat&veg or vegetable only, in 4 pack like basic meat pie in pricing.
In normal takeaway shops or small bakeries, hot meat pies of many flavour variants, including pepper curry chilli and many more typically are in $2.50 to $4 range. Pasties similar, and sausage rolls as low as half those prices though up to same prices.
Another variant are "party" pies, sausage rolls or pasties. Basically smaller 'bite' size items often served as finger food at gatherings and parties where large groups grab as needed. In supermarket pack a dozen or so might be $12, or less if on sale. Larger packs also available at scaled relative cost to quantity.
Those exorbitant prices in the video seem to be tourist zone or sports/special function concession offers typical.

You don’t understand how Deal or No Deal works. They have a fixed number of cases held by a panel with one case each. I think it’s either 32 or 48 cases, it’s been a long time since I watched it. There’s one contestant who chooses a case but his case remains closed next to him. Each case has a card inside with an amount on it, between 50c and $100,000. (It used to be $200,000.). No one knows what’s in the case until the contestant picks a number and the case is opened to reveal what he just eliminated. He hopes to eliminate all the low amounts first, but sometimes the eliminate the highest amounts and that reduces his chances of winning a top prize. As each case is revealed, the contestant can either accept the prize or refuse it, hence Deal? Or No deal? Most contestants get sucked in and keep playing, trying to win more money, so they keep saying No Deal, and end up with something like 50c or $20 or $50,000 as their final options. The say No Deal and hope to get $50,000 but that is eliminated next, leaving them with $20.00. This is why I hate it. Gambling addicts are made from this show! It’s very rare for the contestant to win the top prize. TV stations here don’t have the kind of money they used to have in the 80s.

The guy who's ute blocked the tennis court entry probably wasn't entirely at fault... no signage, and also a parking space in that position would usually be painted out with diagonal yellow lines denoting it is to be kept clear for pedestrian access. But annoying nonetheless! 👍

The ute parking situation has nothing to do with the driver. A 20yr old commodore ute would also block the footpath, a ram truck would knock down the tennis court. It's town planning regulations that say a footpath only needs to be say 1m wide, so why would they make it wider as that would cost more. And if the ute parks so the path was clear no one would be able to manouvre in the carpark. Totally legal parking.

Mitani all the way! I used to buy Chicken Chippy Salt, but man is it more expensive and a lot more unhealthy than Mitani, it's like they took the original recipe and decided to screw with it to the point of making it worse.

EDITED TO AMEND AN ERROR. (I DO NOT WATCH THE SHOW, SO DID NOT NOTICE THEY HAD REMOVED THE $200,000)
@IWrocker, a little correction about the show Deal Or No Deal. When the show first aired with host Andrew O'Keefe (related to the famous rocker Johnny O'Keefe) it was a weekly show with a Jackpot of $2,000,000, however in 2004 the show changed format to a daily show and the prize was reduced to $200,000 per episode. The prize is now...... $100,000. I dont think it has that much to do with high cost of living. i think it has to do more with the standard daily episodes (5 shows a week).

Deal or No Deal was originally on TV about ten years ago. I used to watch it but the gambling and all the losses made me stop watching it. The series ended soon after I stopped watching. This year they brought it back with a different host and the gambling is pushed more than ever! I knew that from the early promos and decided I wasn’t going anywhere near it. The same thing with the Aussie version of the British quiz show, Tipping Point. I love the British version but the Aussie one is also pushing the gambling, so I refuse to watch it.

@ 1:31 This has become a disgrace. Journalists were once considered the guardians of the language, and were masters of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. This type of thing is now commonplace and I find it so frustrating! Is it laziness or plain ignorance? And it all makes it past editing!! Or doesn't that happen any more? 😱😭
