- MLS Commissioner Don Garber delivered the annual State of the League address where he discussed MLS’s partnership with Apple, Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF not winning the MLS Cup, San Diego FC, the Club World Cup and 2026 World Cup, and Bruce Arena's return to the sideline
MLS is going to be the number 1 sport in America in the next decade and on worth
😆, and I'm an mls fan,
Its going to be in the top 3 in the future but nfl is number 1
@Zack-e3p it will never be as big the nfl, Americans like violence and gambling,
I'd say top 2 or 3 but definitely not top. Would take a while to get past NFL unfortunately.
It will never be #1. Eventually it will be as big as the NBA, maybe. I say this as a day one Revs fan.
The first true soccer complex. You heard it first. Vamos Galaxy
best sports commissioner
Was this on apple tv cause i couldnt find it
Appreciate the upload
I looked to download it wasn't on the play store
You need to stop wanting, and stop trying to be like NBA and (handball NFL). Be more like football ⚽️ the playoff format do not make sense. Listen to the supporters. Football Unites the world. ⚽️
Wow 🤩
Ah yes chucky, the backup in the Netherlands. How very exciting
I’m someone who has been screamin the importance of pro/rel for the longest time, but I’m not in the crowd that thinks garber and the owners are doin it wrong. Slow growth is definitely the right method instead of immediate integration. But they need to speed up a lil imo; we need to maintain one new club a year
they dont need to move so fast, they are growing and moving at a pace that is just fine.
Getting rid of Don Garber is next on our list
Yeah, but it's weird hearing that from any LA or Miami fans.
He just got an extension
@@brando7266 we got rid of Chris Klein immediately after his extension
C'ON MICHEAL LEWIS GIVE IT TO EM..
Make relegations a thing in MLS!!!!
Good idea, but owners are strongly against it. Also, not enough teams to support the idea. Too much competition from other sports and other entertainment options.
Guy is clueless on some of the issues like the draft.
I'd like to see MLS stop playing on artificial turf. Sport over profit
CONTINUE to look shabby on TV ....shabby look around the pitch ......HALF MEASURES......ADVERTISING .....PROMOTIONS.....
I could go on garber and rest would want us to think EVERYTHING is good however .... a game is 90 mins long bro NOT 60 MINS!!!!!!! DOLLAR GARBER SPEND OUR SOCCER/FOOTBALL MONEY ON THE GAME BRO........INFRASTRUCTURE
And yet the attendance has never been higher,
Is Gerber planning to do a European type schedule? Personally I'm for it. Soccer in hot weather can be worse than a snowstorm.
Attendance in Chicago, NE, NY, Toronto, Montreal, et al will plummet. Either you take a winter break, killing coverage/momentum, or you make those teams build domes.
why should they have to compete with European leagues for viewership when they can have the whole summer to themselves, being the only football/soccer on tv at the time.
Longstar, I completely get it what you're saying. Playing in the heat and humidity is got to be brutal. However I do support soccer year round.
I'm a diehard Rapids fan but showing up in sub-zero weather every Saturday will make me drop my season ticket. I do not want to pay $30 to chant and shiver. I ADORE going to games in shorts and tee shirts. The only clubs for it are the teams in the south who won't be affected.
What a disgrace he is.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
