Jones still harping on about Poatan - even said Tom can have the belt. If I'm the UFC I strip him right away, the day after his defence. Let him do whatever he wants without the belt. If he's not gonna fight Tom, there's only one Champion who's willing to fight the other, he keeps the real belt.
21:48 Bo played smart since Paul Craig’s bjj is a real danger to any grappler. Watch how Paul submitted Magomed Ankalaev; in a way similar to Khamzat that was afraid of Gilbert Burns’s bjj.
Let's see how much Jon is gonna ask for to avoid Tom.. 20 mill? 30 mill? Of course he deserves a good pay but he has to consider how much the card could possibly generate.
They're about to surpass 20 billion with the first and 2nd sales of the ufc and now 3rd sale in 2025. Whatever jon asks for is fair. The fighters get 12 cents on the dollar and these guys are becoming billionaires left n right (and never fought once) and whenever a fighter asks for what he's truly worth these dirtbag fans get so jealous they boo and cus them. 😂
Fight wasn’t even competitive. People should have expected this outcome when all the chatter around this fight was about the “next” fight. Jon was SO effective. Say what you want about his antics outside the ring, the man is an artist.
Is Stipe old enough to fight Jake? Lol you'd think 42 would be good enough for him. And it would actually be a good match, I believe Jake would still win that tho just due to the speed difference.
The contrast between that fight and watching Tom fight really was drastic, wasn't it? Lol these JJ fanboys have no idea what's coming if that fight actually happens.
Jones looked so confident in the cage before the fight began. This fight was a foregone conclusion ( almost!) - Still impressive how he won. Creates and keeps control..slows his opponent and picks him apart - Stipe did not listen to his corner, and stay in on Jones. Always stepped out after attack, allowing bones to reset, pick him apart. Always felt John was a heavyweight who managed to trim down and bully a developing division - hense the name "bones". Rashad, Shogun, Machida, Belfort, Sonnen and many more - jumped up middleweights.. Rampage - Solid win! Gustafsson, Reyes - more his size and offered much harder competition.. Cormier - 5'10...And he made him cut all the weight to meet at 205, costing Daniel much of his power...And worried so much he still used PEDs... Sociopaths MUST have control! Still - he beat them all! Heavyweight is his natural division - And it would be great to see him as a fighter, without such physical advantages. Cyril, Perreira, savy strikers with little grappling - pointless fights - The wrestling ability melts these opponents. Aspinal, Blades, Ngannou, Pavlovich... Beat these - Without a doubt...Best fighter ever! I guess too many of us see/sende a sociopath in Bones - The false persona he plays out for the cameras.. It turns the stomach..Light heavyweight was too easy for him - he destroyed them with ease and magic.. Will he challenge the stalwart of the HW division? - Not an aged partime Fireman in Stipe ( Much respect..when active he was immense)..To take his greatest heavyweight of all time Win. Or the popular kickboxer of 205.. He can impress the fools cherry picking these opponents - Or impress the world beating the best;)
Joe Rogan mentioned both potential fights during the post-fight interview. The crowd gave a mild pop for Alex, and a sizeable pop for Tom. The fight to make is Tom. Jon Jones says it will do nothing for his legacy, but he’s dead wrong. Jon Jones cleared out the Light Heavyweight division, he beat every single contender. He has won two fights at Heavyweight, but he has not dominated and cleared out the division. Heavyweight in UFC has always been the weakest division for talent historically. From the days of Randy Couture beating Tim Silvia to Stipe Miocic being considered the best Heavyweight. Brock Lesnar remains the biggest Heavyweight draw in UFC history. Jon Jones beating Tom helps to establish him as the greatest Heavyweight of all time. A man that cleared out two divisions of top contenders.
If you watched and reported fully, you would know DW said they unfortunately got rid of too many of the old style to fully go back at once. It will be gradual until resupplied. And maybe the fighters might even have a choice between the two styles.
also want to see Aspinall vs Jones, but don't want to wait 1-2 years for it! On that card Bo Nickal should fight Khamzat (if he moves up in weight class), Alex Pereira vs Jiří Procházka and Topuria vs Volkanovski. It would be an epic card.
Yall getting your hopes up, Dana left the door open for Alex, when he said “if they both beg me for this then i may do it” The fact Dana already backtracked and left the door open Tom is cooked.
@@TheFireStarter1215 i mean reflexes and strikes speed, so slow from both fighters. as a technical this fight wasnt championship level, looked like exibition

Dana clarified at post fight presser, they're going back to old gloves permanently but they're having trouble in the short term getting enough of them.
Stipe wasn’t moving near like he did against DC or even Francis. he was flat footed and stood right in front of Jon. By the time the 3rd round came around and stipe started actually doing something he was already beat up bad and his body let him down
With all the potential heavyweights available for this fight, the ufc matches Jones with a guy, 42 years old and 2- 3 over the last 6 years. And to no one's surprise, from the outset Jones lays a beating on Miocic until he finally brutally, bludgeons him into retirement. After this mismatch, Aspinall should be on the docket for Jones' next trip to the octagon.
I do think I’d John fought Alex next that would make the aspinall fight 10x bigger. Let’s say in 4 months John fights pereira. That would make the hype for Tom aspinall blow up and we’d still get a super fight. It just makes so much more sense for John
Why would you want to see that at a stadium?? I went down and watched Jake vs Tyson live. The atmosphere was terrible, only 3-4 times the crowd really got loud. Been to multiple UFC events in Arenas. The arena is the way to go!
Jones was - 625 for a reason. The one's in the know knew what was going to happen. Just like with Jake Paul fighting an overweight 60 year old with a host of health problems. This weekend was definitely not the best fighting the best. I knew the mma media was going to put this spin on Jon vs Stipe fight. Let's pump the brakes. Jon was supposed to win in dominant fashion.
It’s not that fans are blown away by Aspinall’s fighting IQ and ability, these fans just hate Jon for his out of the cage antics and are desperate to see him lose. Darren Till had the same hype train for Tyron Woodley
I'd have to see it again but most of those "back of the head" shots were on the ear or just slightly behind. Also was under the impression that you can't just turn your head to make the the punches "illegal". Big difference deliberately hitting someone in he back of the head/neck while bent over compared to ground and pound and they turn their head. He was clearly trying to hit his face.
Jones' legacy would not be impacted by a loss to Apinall. Jones' legacy is in tatters if he loses to Pereira. He should fight Alex, and then Tom, both at HW.
Unfortunately Stipe refluxes were not there. I think its mostly ring rust not the age thing. His combos were there but not as effective. It could be what Jones did in R1 with ground work and elbow. He mentally got the upper hand in R1. I think Stipe looked in great shape he was lean and looked ready
Why is Ariel so out of touch with everything happening in the UFC? They said they don’t have enough of the old gloves ready it’s a supply thing. No one thought John was that good aside from the finish and it took him almost 4 rounds! Two old guys that were slow and Tom would destroy! I guess Ariel is too busy hanging out with You Tuber fight scene?
Stipe looked incredibly slow & old last night. Beating up the husk of Stipe did nothing to show he is p4p #1. He didn't even show that he was the best heavyweight with that performance! Tom or Francis would have sparked that version of Stipe out in less than 3 minutes.
Ariel... saying this heavyweight title fight had any significance.. doesn't make you look good - Miocic was basically already retired two / three years ago - looked nothing like his former self at his best last night.... Tom Aspinall vs Sergei was a far more significant heavyweight fight. If you just watched last nights fight you would see how easily Tom will beat them both. Tom will never get to prove this, It wont happen because JJ is protected by the UFC for his "Legacy".. legacy of ducking at least two heavyweights, PED's and all the rest
You need to listen to the post fight interview again. Joe did say Tom’s name. And it’s obvious that’s the fight Jon was referring to when he made the statement.
Jones said he doesn't need the belt. This is a fight about Pride. Jones vs. Alex is a legendary fight, both are double champions. Alex is a double champ in two sports. Jones is who he is in MMA. Tom should have the belt, he should fight Gane. Tom vs. Gane is a massive fight. Which is the true fight to decide the best modern Heavyweight in UFC.
Gane used to be one of the most promising and talented HW but he’s ducking Tom like Jones, that’s when my respect for him went downhill, he just wants to have a title fight or a contender fight IMO.
Heavy weight division is a mess. Title was held up for 2 years to fight a fighter who hadnt fought in 4 years and got knockout last fight. Interm title gets made, tom gets it and defends it before the actual title is defended. Jones isnt gonna make a quick turn around, so now tom either has to wait a year or fight another person. It should be jones youve got 6 months to get ready and if you dont show up your stripped of the hw title and if you want to fight again its tom at hw or go down and challenge alex at lhw.
Jon’s haters moving the goal post once again. Then when he beats Aspinall they’ll say it’s because he’s too young and inexperienced. The only person Jon hasn’t fought is Francis
After seeing Jon’s post fight press conference, I’d have to disagree with Eric regarding this being a play. I don’t think this was truly a negotiation tactic. This too might part of his game but he seems to be digging his heels in with him not wanting to fight Tom. Will see though.
The next time Jon will fight, gta 6 will already be out, what a man, what a legend In conclusion, as a reward for this, they will let Jon cheat in every way without repercussions
Someone said Jon Jones is the Jake Paul of the ufc and when you go back to see the age he fought a lot of these guys they had already been past their prime and smaller. Whenever he fought someone his age and size he almost lost (if not lost in everyone’s eyes) obviously there’s some differences but it’s as close as I can think of a Jake paul in mma looking like
Is it just me or I legitimately am not even interested in watching the replay of the stipe fight, it’s like let’s let the champion decide which retiree they wanna beat up on? I forgot it’s about what Jon wants not what the standings and the UFC fans are going crazy about, that just wouldn’t make any sense now
Don't know how he could say this Jon performance was better than the game one. Jon looked slow here and open for hits (he got caught by a slow stipe). The game fight was impressive given the time off and beating a younger dynamic fighter. This fight was as expected (maybe 2 rounds longer that what many thought). Jones started off quick but in second and third round was good but nothing tremendous as Ariel says. Jon was always going to win. Let's be real about that. It was all about how quick he would finish stipe. Stipe was a shadow of himself and was very woeful . Embarrassing frankly.
I think you are gassing Jon up a bit too much. Took him nearly 4 rounds to beat a 42 year old semi retired fighter who was years past his sell by date. Put Tom infront of of THAT stipe and it’s over in 60 seconds like all the others.
Had no idea Kron Gracie was still fighting... thought he gave up mma since he lost his last two , a year and a half ago , and he is getting up there... Don't really follow him but wish him luck...

Jon has 1 fight in the same period at 38. Is 38 not old?
@@HazeygocrazyThe fact that you all have to l. ie about his age shows howBS your arguments are. I've seen 3 or 4 people claim 39, you're claiming 38, when in reality he JUST turned 37. Lol.
jones already pricing himself out ot defending against aspinall in the post fight presser. he will never be remembered as the greatest for this
He already is the greatest lol
@@ZackIAmIf you are terrified of fighting another man in your own division you can never be considered the greatest fighter of all time. That should be pretty straightforward...
@@BarryMcCockiner-em5sv “terrified” lol you must be a new MMA fan.
That’s like calling Mayweather scared because he didn’t take tougher fights at the end of his career. Idiotic.
His resume speaks for itself, no one in UFC history outside of maybe Mighty Mouse has the resume he has and he beat everyone that was put in front of him.
So no, whether he fights Tom or not has no barring on his status as the MMA GOAT. Get over it lol
Bo will destroy Khamzat hahahahah Bo is trash, hype is over ....BOring....
Great. Now Jon gets to fight as a 39 year old with a full white beard against Tom 😂😂😂
39? I mean I hope that fight doesn't take 2+ years to come together...
Tom will be less competitive. No wrestling no grappling. He gets subbed inside 2 rounds
Is Stipe old enough to fight Jake? Lol you'd think 42 would be good enough for him.
And it would actually be a good match, I believe Jake would still win that tho just due to the speed difference.
I finally understand why Jones is ducking Tommy. That was brutal ahahahha. Both him and stipe looked so slow. My God
The contrast between that fight and watching Tom fight really was drastic, wasn't it? Lol these JJ fanboys have no idea what's coming if that fight actually happens.
I think Tyson was unwell in some way
Francis beat prime Stipe in round 2. Jon beat old slow stiff stipe end of round 3
Tom finished 8 heavyweights, 6 of them in the top 10, in less total time than it took Jon to finish mummified Old Man Stipe 😂
Paul vs Tyson wasnt boxing getting 72.000 in there. That was just a freak show. The 96.000 in London were there for its boxing.
Jons v Aspinall would be huge. Thousands of Brits would travel for that
Jon jones had nothing to do with the gloves being replaced.
I was rooting for Stipe 😢😢
Jones looked so confident in the cage before the fight began. This fight was a foregone conclusion ( almost!) - Still impressive how he won. Creates and keeps control..slows his opponent and picks him apart -
Stipe did not listen to his corner, and stay in on Jones.
Spot on. This needs more likes, great breakdown.
Jones Aspinall is never ever happening, just like Jones avoided Francis. 🦆
Stipe looked like an 80 year old with a walker trying to hail a bus.
Someone should book Stipe vs Tyson now
Yet he would easily knock you out... quit disrespecting Stipe.
@@D12Min u mad bro?
Do understand body shots will do that no matter what. the first teep thrown hurt stipe you sound like a fool😂
@ you’re missing the point which is that he looked slow as shit the entire fight because he’s too old to be in there
The Most Disputed Heavyweight. I pray Jon Relinquish the Belt soon and the Division move on with new blood .
Tom Aspinall to dancers for Jon. Jon will duck and fight they guy with no wrestling in Alex who Rogan is in love with
Crazy how you’re underselling Alex like he’s some kind of bum..
pure dogsahit no one wants to see other than all the casuals, unify the belt
@@Foxa2312 issy litterly took him down and controlled him lol, do you understand how easy jon beats alex? casual
Dana isn't gonna sacrifice super active Alex for Jon who is barely fighting and almost retired.
When has Aspinal actually been tested?
What Jone Jones did to Stipe Miocic was beat up on an old man with a serious case of "ring rust". Nothing more....
Now he gets crushed by Tom or run away. Only options.
If you watched and reported fully, you would know DW said they unfortunately got rid of too many of the old style to fully go back at once. It will be gradual until resupplied. And maybe the fighters might even have a choice between the two styles.
Stipe threw punches as fast as Mike Tyson did against Jake Paul....looked terrible
Tom starches him it’s quite obvious.
what are the john jones haters going to say after he head-kicks KOs aspinall? lol
also want to see Aspinall vs Jones, but don't want to wait 1-2 years for it! On that card Bo Nickal should fight Khamzat (if he moves up in weight class), Alex Pereira vs Jiří Procházka and Topuria vs Volkanovski. It would be an epic card.
Khamzat Dricus!!
Yall getting your hopes up, Dana left the door open for Alex, when he said “if they both beg me for this then i may do it”
The fact Dana already backtracked and left the door open Tom is cooked.
two old guys, slow motion fight lol
Jones has always fought at that pace, which usually controls the rhythm of his fights.
Always kinda "flat", but at the right distance.
@@TheFireStarter1215 i mean reflexes and strikes speed, so slow from both fighters. as a technical this fight wasnt championship level, looked like exibition
@@lkptlst3256Yeah it was one really slow heavyweight vs one really old and slow heavyweight. Not top level, that's for sure. Tom smokes both in a minute, just like everyone else he's fought.
Ariel doing the shocked face thumbnails. What a time.
You're insane Ariel. Jones looked slow. He showed me that Aspinall destroys him and he does it fast.
Thanks for the video, ARIEL
Why would you want to see that at a stadium??
I went down and watched Jake vs Tyson live. The atmosphere was terrible, only 3-4 times the crowd really got loud. Been to multiple UFC events in Arenas. The arena is the way to go!
Jon was right, these 36 and under guys are too fast for him and not worth the risk. Derrick lewis was the right call out for him
Jones was - 625 for a reason.
Dana said in post conf that fight night still using the gloves is because they dont have enough of the OG gloves yet.
As for the gloves Dana also said the issue is they don’t have much of the original gloves left.
This is not the top level of the sport. Activity should be mandatory. Otherwise you lose your rank.
Stipe looked incredibly slow & old last night. Beating up the husk of Stipe did nothing to show he is p4p #1. He didn't even show that he was the best heavyweight with that performance! Tom or Francis would have sparked that version of Stipe out in less than 3 minutes.
Ring rust is real, even for the top guys like Stipe.
LOL bo did exactly what he wanted to do Ariel working on his stand up
He hasn't fought Francis yet. If he beats Francis then there can never ever be another argument again. Tom has no chance against Jon.
Ariel... saying this heavyweight title fight had any significance.. doesn't make you look good -
Miocic was basically already retired two / three years ago - looked nothing like his former self at his best last night....
Stipe is 54 years old.
42 lil bro
@@MuhGlassRibsRichard and his entire family would get his ass whooped by Stipe. Let tom’s boyfriend be salty😂😂😂😂
Dana said they don't have enough old gloves in stock so that's why they are using the new ones on fight nights till they can restock
This was the UFC equivalent of Tyson vs Paul. Disgraceful matchmaking and it went exactly how we all said it would.
Ofc Jon want Alex with 0 ground game cuz he say Aspinall is way much harder fight 🤣 That's your GOAT 😂😂😂
No Alex won't prove or show anything. Same with Stipe. Does nothing for his legacy.
Jones is not a double champ, he's carrying a fake belt.
Aspinal has weak knees, Jones would rip them apart.
Jones has chopsticks for legs. Tom would focus them with one check.
Aspinall vs Ngannou is the actual fight to make but sadly will never happen
The way it's going, we probably get Tom Aspinall vs Alex Pereira 🤷♂️
After seeing Jon’s post fight press conference, I’d have to disagree with Eric regarding this being a play. I don’t think this was truly a negotiation tactic. This too might part of his game but he seems to be digging his heels in with him not wanting to fight Tom. Will see though.
Agreed. Jones knows the UFC have never and will never pay F U money.
He went through this during the Ngannau negotiations.
He's ducking.
@ That’s right yeah! Let’s see what Dana and them lot do. And like you wrote, nothing changes the fact that he’s ducking.
The next time Jon will fight, gta 6 will already be out, what a man, what a legend
In conclusion, as a reward for this, they will let Jon cheat in every way without repercussions
Someone said Jon Jones is the Jake Paul of the ufc and when you go back to see the age he fought a lot of these guys they had already been past their prime and smaller. Whenever he fought someone his age and size he almost lost (if not lost in everyone’s eyes) obviously there’s some differences but it’s as close as I can think of a Jake paul in mma looking like
Dana said they still have to use the new gloves sometimes because they don’t have enough of the old ones to do all the fights with
Is it just me or I legitimately am not even interested in watching the replay of the stipe fight, it’s like let’s let the champion decide which retiree they wanna beat up on? I forgot it’s about what Jon wants not what the standings and the UFC fans are going crazy about, that just wouldn’t make any sense now
Everybody saying knockouts went down with the gold gloves... and still Ilia knocked Max out 🤫
Jones has a million ways to win. Tom has 1 or 2 paths to victory IMO.
Stipe could barely walk. Dude is 42. Sad.
Don't really follow him but wish him luck...
now people complain that stipe didn‘t show up😂 can‘t believe this. jon pieced him up so bad: stipe was overwhelmed from the get go.
