These photos could've been taken at any point and even some captions prove that Shirley was away from her family most of the time. There are probably some inaccuracies but I believe the bulk of what Sachi says.
@@texan903 The pictures were taken around March 1960. : / As you can see, they both were getting off the plane together and Shirley stayed in Japan until the Hollywood strike was over. I actually have an article in which Shirley mentioned that she left Sachi there around that time to keep sick Steve company.
@@SofRegina it's so odd to me that Shirley would send or take her daughter to Japan to keep Shirley's husband company instead of Shirley being with her husband herself, she definitely had the means. I don't think she was a very good mom.
I haven’t read every word of the comments so this may have already been covered. But in more than one of her books Shirley wrote that she originally sent Sachi to Japan by herself. Her age changes depending on the book; in one Sachi was 2, in another I believe she was 6. Sachi herself says she was 2.

Oh.. the point was only to show the pictures of them arriving in Japan in 1960
@@SofRegina...oh but are these specifically captioned from the time Sachi says, that they are arriving in Japan? I don't believe they do...

@@texan903 I just think Sachi misremembers the date when she was sent there, that's all.

Photos look like publicity stunts
yes, Shirley loved using her daughter for photo ops! Sachi writes that after 4 hours, Mom Shirley would decide she'd had enough of Sachi's company.
I love Shirley MacLain as actress ! But looks like she is terrible mother !
I think and believe Sachi is talking true
sorry Sherley
