Imagine living Maxs life, he trains all day in multiple arts and in his down time hes playing ufc, its a pretty good way to meditate and rest for a fighter of his calibre when you think about it
It definitely helps you understand basic fighting concepts like distance management, timing, fainting, setting up things, strategy, and some more. This is actually pretty cool because some of these things are not learned with methods like punching bags or shadow work
I started Muay Thai when i was teenager and i still on process to learn clinch at that time, i played a lot of UFC Undisputed 3 Career Mode and i learned a lot of Clinch Striking, Sweep and Clinch Control from there, it helped me a lot to developed my clinch technique, i also learned a lot of basic Judo and Wrestling takedown from there, i also learned moving straight punch from there, i used all of that move (Except the takedown) for all my sparring time and it worked 100% if you keep training it

Watching UFC helped me out in my first street fight. A dude 40lb heavier than me got in my face and wanted to fight. I stepped back and threw the first punch. He saw it coming because I stepped back so it got blocked. Then i shot for a takedown 😂😂 because I remembered that khabib always fakes a punch and then goes for a takedown. 😂😂 Anyways wasn’t able to take him down because he was heavier and stronger but it bought me enough time to think. Then i just popped back up and threw two right hands to his face and it was over. He didn’t expect those at all. Also the reason i popped up so quick is because I felt his arm start to wrap around my neck and I remember “shit this is how you get caught in a guillotine” so i sprung back up and started swinging 😂😂
What is holy about fecal matter? Man, the things people will repeat simply because they heard someone else say it and scale at which i see it, is astounding. Ufc game is good for basic strategy. I’m southpaw so I just use it to see how people respond to stance switching and certain combos.
it helped me a lot with timing my shots
