Windows only but Shortcircuit 1.1.2 is still king in my book. You can layer/chop/ filter/pitch until your cpu hits a wall. CPU friendly too. 32bit so it needs bridged. Shortcircuit 2 was open sourced and is being developed by the same people who are working on the Surge vst synthesizer.
Why in momentum in every video they do a cut when they drag the samples y tey to do it in my pc bur samples nsver go inside this plugin only sum extra small one shots, do you know whay i got this problem?
Sitala is free and so good for drums. It's smart as hell, too. I have dozens of drum VSTs and I always wind up going back to Sitala because everything I need is just right there.

Bruh, it's through your video that I found the Poise sampler VST plugin, it's absolutely ridiculous - so good, that I'm struggling to find something similar (and for free...). The problem is, it works flawlessly in older versions of my VST host (Carla), but since 2.5.5, that sampler no longer loads in the host... it's old by this point and isn't actively patched/maintained, so longevity is gonna be an issue. I'm using it with older versions of Carla without a hitch, but here comes the question - which sampler comes close to Poise in terms of functions? Any suggestions?

Momentum has been crashing Cubase 12 since the first version of Momentum up to the current version. Also crashed prior Cubase versions. BFA is aware of it, but still hasn't come up with a fix. From what I've been able to do with it, it seems like a good tool. But I haven't been able to finish anything with it due to the crashes. I'll keep checking up on the updates but I'm not holding my breath.

I got the same problem, and after searching diff alternatives all day I actually found out that the "64 bit" installer its actually 32. I use Soundbridge and it was recognizing the plugin but it could not open it, later I tried in LMMS and it worked fine! Its sad bc you cant even contact the site and tell them to release an actual 64 bit installer.
So I just bought Serato, after seeing a bunch of vids praising it. I got it instead of getting XO on sale for 80. The only samplers I had were the stock FL stuff and CR8. Did I mess up? Is Serato over hyped?
im just wondering whats the best 1-shot sampler. the sampler that changes tone naturally, not sounding like computer. i though soundpaint was coming up with something new. but idk.
@@AveMcree Sorry brother but poise is a toy compared to the FPC. I have both installed and have for a long time. The FPC gets used in every project while Poise never gets called up. I don't think Poise is even supported any longer.

ezSampler the only mp3 sampler I know and it decent but someone should make another one to use mp3 you just need LAME exe encoder I just made a track on FLStudio using it sampling a vintage 70s record the result came out pretty triphop so I recommended this VSTi but I'm going to look for another I think HighLife is very old classic
You can score a number of free programs that’ll convert .mp3 to .wav ….. not sure if you’re deliberately avoiding that route for potential loss of the samples quality & integrity…. I been out the game for like 16 years… had a Jedi status workflow on reason 2.5….sampled everything from Percy Sledge & Benny King to System of a Down, fuckin Madonna’s crazy ass, the Beatles, Star Wars imperial march off original wax… was cranking them out.. just grabbed an m-audio oxygen 49… wish I got a mini pro tbh… & scored Ableton, MPC Beats & Reason 12…. My fuckin brain hurts… bout to re-install reason 2.5 lol smh…. But I never noticed any significant loss of quality using software for conversion… I literally just converted the whole “greatest hits” from the doors & been Choppin up that the past few days
@@5iKing i like wavs a lot real talk but the conversion rate and time it takes to use an mp3 is mad faster then ripping a wave but to contrary why i do is ease of having something to sample quick and i also love the 320 to 192 quality of an mp3 cuz it very much downsampling but anyway wav or mp3 just let all sample and highlife or bliss from discodsp is are very great for the use of mp3 etc formats ty and have a blessed life sampling becuz sampling can and nvr should ever be dead = the art of hip hop and all forms of music electropop/electronica/etc becuz are we not all under the influence of all artists none are original and will never be done rant!

If it was for the Maschine expansion compatibility. I wouldn't use Battery at all. Poise is a billion times easier to use.

I used to love Grace but it was a little buggy so now I'm using Waves CR8. Anyways, great video as always!
Used to fw poise all the time. (I still have my kits) Unfortunately it stopped loading in Cubase so I retired it...

Use a wrapper plugin to load Poise. I use JBridge to load ancient VSTs in modern hosts.
