Laura is one of the few modern game composers whose music I really love. When I played Plants vs. Zombies and Melolune, it was the first time in years that I was really blown away by the music. She is very talented, and I hope she keeps making music. I also liked the suggestion to mute the game and try to recreate the music. Great interview!
It's not everyday that you see a beautiful girl who turns down the chance to be a jpop star, but instead becomes a video game composer. I knew she was a talented musician, but I had no idea she was also so eloquent. Really enjoyed this interview Miss Laura.
I listened to Zombies on the Lawn multiple times and I am now finding for a Eurobeat remix of that song so that I could drift a lawnmower. Edit: her compositions are a MASTERPIECE! Hecking masterpiece. Edit2: It is PvZ’s 12th anniv!
This lady is amazing. Her work carries a lot of soul. That final questions also threw me for a loop, do I wouldn't blame her. It is a shame the game is working on, Melolune, wasn't expaned upon during the interview.
thank you for sharing this video ...Laura is a talented person and made a right turn when it came her way and that opened a wide door upward ...she is an inspiration for many ... thank you again Blessings :))))
Since i live in canada,my family wants me to be the best in my grades,be good in music,WITCH I BLEW MY HEAD OFF WITH!Be good in 5 languages when my class only needed to learn two.I had to learn chinese, vietnamese, spanish, english(obviously)and french.COMMON I'M NOT MISTER PERFECT HERE!And then i had to become good in art.And then, when i rarely got something wrong,my parents would argue with me saying they made this far with no parents,AND PRETTY MUCH I GOT JEALOUS WITH BEING AMERICAN

Im a big fan of laura shigihara
The 1st time I listened to her. Was when I completed deltarune chapter 1 on Switch. And I will never forget the day I completed deltarune chapter 1.
Supershigi! I didn’t know she was married.
I wish she would say how she came up with the sounds and riffs for each level especially watery graves and gazing roof

I really enjoyed this interview! Laura is so articulate, it's fun listening to her talk about her background and music making process.
I love how even though Laura's so pretty and talented, she still seems like such a nice and down-to-earth person.
she did great music for another indie game too called 'to the moon'
Are they sat on stairs?!?!?! That was a complete headfuck watching feet walk past for a bit? xD
