Oh my goodness! Your podcasts are always so good but sometimes one stands out as just being awesome. This is one of those with Dr. Sweat. I have to say one can't help but feel the spirit that comes from this inspired lesson about the Temple. I just loved it. With episodes that stand out I will go back and re-watch and invite my kids to watch it so they don't miss out. I have "considered my ways" which is always a could call to reevaluate, rededicate, repent! Thank you so much. I don't think Hank and John really have any way to comprehend how much positivity, inspiration and encouragement they are sending out to everyone that studies and listens with them! You're doing a GREAT work!!
Every few months I hear another quote that I hadn't come across before, from people in this dispensation, saying that when we give our time to doing the Lord's work (doing Church callings, redeeming the dead, missionary work, ministering, and caring for the needy) He will take care of our finances and support. It's been true for me as much as I've tried it so far, and I'm always working to keep it up and not slack off. It's the same thing people like Haggai were saying a long time ago.
One of my favorite insights about the lost pages of the BOM manuscript is that the Lord prepared a way not only to restore but to improve the pages. And likewise, Joseph became a better more obedient prophet. We are also not just restored but improved and strengthened by the repentance process.
We watch this every week and always learn amazing things from it. Thank you so much for all the time and work you and the speakers give to this eaach week. 👏👏
Thank you for the time and resources you put forth to provide this podcast. We have been gradually getting better and better at using Come Follow Me and your guests, insights, and testimonies have helped us be reinvigorated with each new guest. Dr Sweat has some very insightful thoughts, and I appreciate how it helps my study and growth in learning the scriptures.
Consider my ways…thank you for these great teachings, and building greater understanding , the temple, the power of the endowment vs. the presentation, so many personal applications for this day. Such powerful teaching when you connect what we are learning and what we learned last year from the Doctrine and Covenants, Joseph Smith, the Kirkland temple, examples of church history, etc. Love these prophets who had smaller books but equally important. I feel sad that the Old Testament is ending but can’t wait for Jesus to come.
I believe that it bears saying when we say or hear or read “through no fault of your own,” we should also include those of us who know our ways and know that much of what we suffer is through fault of our own.
My cousin, Blair Camp, was the fire chief, who made the decision not to knock down the walls, and to preserve them, so they could be made into a Temple.
Thank you for another wonderful podcast! I'm having trouble finding the link to the video Brother Sweat mentioned. I don't see it in the show notes. Can someone direct me to it?
Haggai is my all time favourite book in the Old Testament. Short but powerful. It focusses on the temple and the Savior. The challenge for us is how do we act on the three famous words of 'Consider thy ways '.
I absolutely loved Brother Sweats devotional, “We Need an Endowment “ and invited my family to watch it.

I think Anthony Sweat is awesome!! Wish I could attend his class every week. Those BYU kids are super blessed.

You are blessings my Life.
And no one treats that Haggai text better then Handel in Handel's Messiah!
