It wasn't bad but could've been a lot better.. like imagine instead of using schemmatas she used eidolons.. like as part of her becoming the new goddess of death she had to enroll the eidolons.. She could switch between them during battle having them battling alongside her like they did in ff13
I missed lightning returns, and it always bothered me over the years like an itch at the back of my mind.

I don't know how much people dislike this game, is my favorite of all FF series, and Lightning is an amazing woman, i loved the battle system and the CGI, the secondary quests is so amazing too, i replayed a lot of times ❤ Lightning i miss you

Maxs Ivalive is the world setting of FFXII and FFTA2. i actually prefer it because the moogles can actually fight (unlike most serieses where they're just civvies)

With different gameplay yes I didn't like just hitting x all the time if they have to make it like kingdom hearts or FFXV if they have to
Black Da Ripper I prefer they turn 13 and 13-2 into lightning returns combat and expand on making that better. XV's combat is too simple and casual I wouldn't mind kingdom hearts though

I’ve been replaying the trilogy recently. I’ve recently finished XIII and XIII-2. I’ve played them before but I’ve never finished Lightning Returns when it came out. I was really mad with the Time counting down so I stopped playing.
It’s not until now it’s when I decided to give it a second chance to this game. I never thought I’d be so addicted to it now. It’s a wonderful game so far. The bosses are hard though. Maybe I just need to grind a bit more.
Any however, I’m in love with Lightning Returns now, despite the Time thing. Just finished Luxerion and Yusnaan’s Main Quest. This trilogy is a blast to play through. It’s seriously so beautiful.
The countdown is kinda killing the game because you have to replay it if you failed to survive , if want to save time , follow a walkthrough is not a bad idea because the prob of this game is finding a quest thing could kill you a day xD the story& side story is nice, gameplay & lightning outfit is epic af ,just the freaking countdown xD it make you can't enjoy the beautiful thing because if you stop you're wasting time and end up might need to replay it xD
Lightning is working for Bhunivelze technically, he powered Lightning up even more after Etro. He also was the one who created Etro, Pulse (the fal'Cie no the planet), and Lindzei (Cocoon's head fal'Cie). Snow was branded by Cactuar and basically is still killing himself over failing to save Serah in FFXIII-2, so he doesn't want to deal with Lightning.
I'm gonna replay FF13 soon, still love the trilogy!!

From all of Final Fantasy I did fall for this one the most. Of course. 10, 12,7 are great aswell but 13 got me :) Love Lightning
I just finished this game and it was a masterpiece and surely one of my favourites. The only thing that frustrated me is the time but i think it matches with the story and that means you need to play the game the second time around to deal with it if you still want?!

The Final Fantasy 13 trilogies were awesome, Lightning returns kept me on my toes though, because you had a time limit.

This trilogy needs a remaster now!
The story is very complex. Some people find that to be a turn off but if you pay attention it actually makes more sense than I ever imagined. I enjoy the complexity, gives me something to work with and figure out. It's too bad you don't feel the same.
Lightning's face looks younger in these cinematics, it's still cute though. Maybe they did that to hint us that Lumina was her locked younger side all along?. Their faces are similar if you look at it closely.

@@checcapocchia7417 That because this game only available for PS3, not PS4 nor PS5 unless they remaster/remake it. But if you have Xbox, you can buy the 360 version and play it on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S. Xbox backwards compatibility is great. Or you can play it on PC, just buy it on Steam.

Sub Saibot I want a remake of the Trilogy. I loved XIII-2 but I heard a lot on how people hated this trilogy for a multitude of reasons. I think a Remake of the Trilogy on both Xbox and PS would be awesome. Sorta wished FF7R was on Xbox

after 13 days it's game over.... it may sound like we have little time to play but if we think about it 1 day has 24 hours so...normally we beat a game entirely in 50 hours or so... but still we can can reset time. so that must mean that this game must be huge o.o

Why do people complain about the countdown in this game? Unless you literally cannot follow instructions, the game gives you so many chances to extend the time AND in one of the quests, Hope literally asks you to use Chronostasis if you're about to fail a side quest!

Final fantasy xiii is the best😍😍
The introducing of time-limited play was interesting. It did felt abit stressy to find side-quests and focus on the main ones at the same time before the end of each day, and because of just that, one could not really have the time to enjoy the scenarioes/landscapes and such. But without new elements, the series would become boring and one-tracked, so it was still entertaining. :)

Its the opening of the game. The game starts here in Yusnaan as a tutorial so the intro is themed around that.
i wish people would understand that final fantasy 15 is coming out soon and is probably almost complete if you watch the news about it or read it. they're working on it. I personally am a fan of all final fantasy's good or bad but this is the last final fantasy 13 which is alright i guess, I will personally buy this game because lightning is my favorite character next to squall. Too many people except bad things to early on. I bet even when final fantasy 15 comes out people will still bitch about something. So just enjoy the game for what it is and not what you want in the game..

FF15 isnt my cup of tea. Tried it, and I must said i prefer FF13 trilogy.
I wish I could play this game the cgi cutscenes look beautiful and the world looks breath taking like I seriously thought we'd explore places like that city in the cutscene in FFXV which sadly we don't if you wanna count Altissia as something close.

I still dont get why Snow was resisting, i mean all he was doing was keeping the Chaos at bay, he could of just let Lightning do all the work easy.

XIII series is great, and Lumina's character is amazing, she's one of the main reasons i liked Lightning Returns.
It has most things a Final Fantasy game has.
13 is actually pretty good.

When i played XIII i hated Lightning. She was so emo and uninteresting. I thought Fang was way cooler. At least now she has a more involved/important/interesting role. Still on the fence about getting this though. Seeing a lot of people saying they were pressed for time.

Correction - More like FFXIII videos rather than just FF in general. I can see why people may not enjoy it, but that doesn't mean people should have a tantrum just because some people do really enjoy it. (I myself happen to love the FFXIII series games and can't wait for this one).
Please bring the FFXIII series to PS4 before PS5 comes out. WE'RE STILL WAITING SQUARE ENIX AND PLAYSTATION please.

Yeah that scene and the one where you fight him is purely fan service for those LightningXSnow shippers. I mean obviously its an impossible ship so they gave them that. Just as they gave Noel and Yuel and even Caius and Past Yuels theyre happy ending
