The farm isnt actually fully demolished. There are are ruins about 50m from the track inside the woodland. Its just the outer walls and doorway now, maybe an old silage pit, very overground with mature trees inside the original buildings. But enough you can can see exactly where the building were, and how big (or small) they were.
Love social stories from time gone by, but stories from Wales are the best.

Sad story, it does sound as if the domestic staff were intimidated in some way.
