Alright, alright, some of these aren't exactly the first or last lines said by the characters but they're from their last episode and are the most fitting introduction/conclusion to their characters.

I like it tbh, in the first ep Troy is still putting up a "cool-guy" front because he wants people to like him. In the original script for when troy leaves, he tells abed that abed taught him he doesn't need to impress other people when he can just be himself. So i like to imagine his quirkiness in the following seasons was rly just him loosening up around the group

It's neat to look back and see how Harmon had original designs to have Abed and Jeff in a close friendship and Pierce and Troy in another. Though, I'm guessing it didn't take long to see the chemistry between Danny and Donald. Also, how Jeff and Annie end up being the "will they/won't they" couple instead of Jeff and Britta.

The poetry of Chang's first moment being him terrorizing and dominating his students in a blustering show of aggression, and his last moment being this tearful moment of raw vulnerability... it's perfect.

I wish the creator of the show and Chevy didn’t have beef because when the show just started out pierce actually had a purpose as a kind of father figure for Jeff and giving life advice when needed while also being good for a few old person jokes, but later he just became a old racist dick, which while he was that in the beginning, they kicked that into overdrive and removed any point for him besides being a one note piece of shit.

It's funny to think that Danny Pudi really ended up on the show that Abed described. Mythical Quest
Megan ganz wrote for both community and mythic quest so I imagine when this episode was written mythic quest had already been conceived and that's why they reference it, wether Danny was already decided on for the role of not is up for debate

Okay so a lot of wrong with this video, Magnetude first appeared in Jeff's party. Leonard's first and last appearance wasn't there, Abed's last line is saying, "doing a finale without me, not cool."
That wasn't Abed's last line, I'm pretty sure he said cool six times afterwards about all the seasons, if not more

I liked season 6 and I liked Franky and Elroy. Both deserved a spot here.
Season 6 is so underrated. The Dean's "Jesus wept" line is one of the funniest moments in the entire show

So I get how some of this video was edited for maximum emotional resonance (i.e. Troy's final lines being wrong so it could be his goodbye with the group or Chang being the last character because he has the last line of the last season). All the same though:
- You got several final lines wrong (i.e. Troy and Duncan)
- A few characters didn't get entries despite clearly being present in the video (Frankie, Elroy, and Hickey)
- Some of the side characters got their last lines in but not their first (i.e. Leonard, Todd)
- The order doesn't make sense, you've got the main cast spread intermittently throughout instead of building up to them. That said if you wanted to end with the last line of the show, shouldn't the video have started with the Dean since he had the first lines?
No disrespect to your editor and to Ms. Perry but you really Britta'd it

i'm a bit younger than the show's main demographic (i'm 16 lol) and i remember just randomly finding it on netflix when quarantine started. it was so good and i finished it within about two weeks or so. so while i wasn't there to watch episodes when the show was on air, it has easily become one of my favorite shows ever and seeing a community of ppl in the comments resonating with the same inside jokes from the series is so great :) p.s. pop pop!

Alrightyroo, here's some issues:
-Magnitude's first lines were at Jeff's party
-skipped Hickey (lmao I hate him so that's actually cool)
-skipped Frankie (rude)
-skipped Elroy
-Troy's last lines were on the boat, questions about Star Trek. Unless that's not being counted as canon for some reason, in which case
-Shirley's last line would've been season 5. The Dean making up something that she says, while hilarious, isn't Canon-Shirley's last line.
-Abed's last line is "Sure." It's...it's literally in this video, y'all just chose not to make that his last line? Could've done the "cool cool cool cool cool cool." But. No. Alright.
-Similar to my problem with Shirley's "last line"--Vicky and Garrett's "last lines" were in Jeff's inaccurate idea of the future, they weren't canon line that Vicky and Garrett said.
-Duncan speaks again after he's electrocuted (that one's hilarious tho so I don't mind as much)
I'm just saying, this is the wrong show to get this sort of thing wrong. Y'all know that you've got a bunch of Abeds watching
I mean for your troy's last lines and shirley's last lines, I think they're just not counting end credits scenes. Nothing to do with canonicity, just which lines have more substance and impact on the actual show. I mean, the end credits occasionally call back to earlier in the episode but it's usually just a passing nod, nothing substantive.
They're not counting canonicity, they just are specifically just not counting end credits scenes, I don't know why you're nitpicking like this.

Shirley was in there first episode of 6 so that would've been her canon last line
end credit scenes count, its the last lines said by community characters, which is the topic of the video. It doesn't say by the actors, or from the show, it says from the characters. So this means the first and last lines they say during the timeline. If their last line was on such and such a day, even if you have flashbacks or something that isn't the last in the timeline. After credit scenes count if they were said as the last in the timeline. If there are future scenes THOSE would be the last lines of the characters. There is a huge difference between the last lines said by the actors, and the last lines said by the characters. EVERYTHING counts with the characters except imagined or made up scenes just like Definitely said. Imagined conversations like Jeff had, lines that weren't shown or said by the actual characters like the case with the Dean and Shirley, etc aren't factored in.
Anyone noticed how chang wore the same shirt at the time of both his first and last line. Crazy!
I love this show so much. I feel like the cast are my own friends and care so strongly for them.

Got into this show just as i started university, such a perfect fit.

I love Shirley and Elroy and the ominous presence of an unnamed third black character, sitting in the corner with the terrified and dumbfounded look of a man who just witnessed a car accident.
