After all these years, I never noticed Big Smoke throwing his bat onto CJ's moms photo and making a glass breaking "crunch" sound. Even before the reveal of the "green sabre", it might have been already foreshadowing that he had a part in this murder.
not only did he do that shit on purpose (he takes a quick glimpse and then throws the bat), him randomly being in the house is foreshadowing.

@@CalculonTV Don’t forget that after the funeral the Ballas do a drive-by on Sweet. Smoke knew this was going down, which is why he stayed in the house. He got busted by CJ, unknowingly, and had to go with him.

This remastered version is, like it says in the book, blessed and cursed.
It looks like they took the original map model put it on unreal engine 4 slapped some new textures on it recreated the original character and car models and called it a day. Even the audio still sounds compressed. I'm not disappointed in the remaster but I was expecting a little bit more.

this was a ground breaking game when it first came out... this was the first GTA game that let you travel between zones with no loading, RPG elements, video games from within the game, etc., really a work of art still to this day
and now this is a game-breaking remaster (again) .
Yeah back then i spent 20$ (i think) for this game on PS2 and i get pool, racing, blackjack, roullete, spinwheel, and all other stuff plus a GTA game. That was the happiest year of my life like i play the game for a full year

Still feels massive to this day. I went for 110% completion (100% completion + optional side activities like 70 stunt jumps) and I had no idea you could play pool in LV until now.

Quick first impressions: The character models are kinda hit or miss, particularly the facial expressions. The rest of the bodies are more or less fine (Ryder's arm when he's sitting on the bike at the end looks a bit weird but that's probably because it's supposed to be a baggy jacket he has). I appreciate the more defined details overall.
The detail on the cars and the map environment is pretty damn good, and the increased draw distance is nice, as is the lighting too. The new sound effects for the guns is much better than the original San Andreas.

Because Rockstar doesn't give a fuck.
Notice how Pulaski's radio randomly detaches from his belt just before he scares off the taxi driver.
Also the remastered uniform patches are all wrong and they are a different size on each of the cop characters, which even if it was the case in the original, it is far more noticeable now when you can read them.
To be fair, there was a crapton of animation glitches in the original cutscenes too, but you'd think the point of a remaster includes fixing that stuff. It seems like animation sequences are straight up ported and the new bugs are related to models not being rigged properly.

rockstar didn't do anything, "grovestreet Games" did. And actually, all they did was put the textures through some upscaling software. And despite their name, they don't know shit about grove street, they didn't even bother to fix the text on clothes and cars. This "remaster" could have been so much more than just high resolution textures and greater render distance but they don't give a single fuck about these games, or their fans
Everybody always talks about Big Smoke and Ryder, but Sweet was my guy. Just an older brother who feels like he has to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.
I think the reason why Sweet is not beloved as much is because he’s very traditional, he really is an old cat in the gang and the leader. He doesn’t possess the comedic and unique traits of Big Smoke and Ryder. Unlike all 3, Sweet has morals and has too much pride to not stick to them. Plus i guess because he always downplays CJ’s contributions even though he gives praise to him when CJ delivers in gang wars w/ him, it’s never enough for him.
I think that gives most players the side-eye on him and it doesn’t help that he’s trash in battle aswell. Really x truly i’d say he’s an unsung hero in a sense, he’s all serious x business and we tend to ignore when CJ was not around he had to struggle to hold down the fort for the Johnson family whilst dealing with Grove’s demise when crack came in. If he was just more appreciative of CJ’s work x mindset, i think he’d be viewed differently but now growing up w/ the game, his frustrations x actions kinda seem understandable.

I love how in the beginning, the REAL traitor (Which is Big Smoke) wasn't even in the cemetery with the others (even Ryder was in there), proving there was something suspicious with Smoke in the first place

I’ve noticed other glitches too from other people’s gameplay. Stuff that even the shortest of playtesting should have caught. I’m equally excited and disappointed for this.

When i played this for the first time, I thought the weird audio compression when outside of cutscenes was some kind of limitation to get everything working right on PS2. I thought with these remasters, we would be able to hear all the ingame audio clearly with the compression gone. But the fact that there were no changes to in game voice clip quality... did Rockstar lose the master cuts of the audio? I swear that it has to be the explaination,

So fun fact I never really played gta san andreas fully sure I played it some of the time but never really actually play the game. So the remastered one is a big ass opportunity for me. Christmas is right around the corner I could finally buy myself a game

After seventeen years on the hardrive, it was finally picked up again by R*. It has aged like fine wine, imo.
